Hello everyone.
I have been getting a weird issue with the caller display.
It will display the name of the caller, but underneath the real name is things like " jiangxishangaro", or other chinese things.
Has anyone any idea what this is and how to fix it?
My wifes Note does the same with a different kernel but same Rom Crash 10.
You have flashed recording mode ?
this occurs with it.
Basically recording mod ported from chinese N9220, and have facilities in china. and may your caller number mimic chienese area, so it displaying area of it.
To disable
Go to setting - call - phone number locator - Disable PNL
Hi Dr,
I didn't specifically flash recording mode, just the latest Crash Rom 10 and that stock kernel with the emc bug disabled.
My wife has the notecore 14 kernel.
I have disabled PNL and hope that fixes it.
Thanks for your help Doctor
EDIT: It seems to have worked fine Dr. I just phoned wife and got her to test it phoning me.
So thanks again
Your custom ROM have used that phone.apk thats why you have it.
Setting you could localized it self confirms it.
Stock ROM doesn't have this menu in setting.
Hello guys,
I had been using Slimbeans ROM for the last few months and found it to be really good. However just recently I was trying to do a video call and found that the Slimbeans ROM hasn't got the video call feature in the dialler at all. Is this due to the stock dialler carried over from the stock ICS ROM released for the Galaxy Nexus? Would I need to change my default dialler to something else? What do you recommend I replace the default dialler with to call someone's mobile number with video feature?

What happened if the person you're calling doesn't have access to wifi to use Skype? Wouldn't the video feed become laggy and affect the voice quality as well?
Hi, guys! I live in Ukraine, and use Droid Bionic with ukrainian cdma(without sim card). Have a problem with assisted dialing. It doesn't turn off. I tried to change country. I call +380XXXXXXXXX, it call's 810380XXXXXXXXX and on 0XXXXXXXXX out 8350XXXXXXXXX. I have the idea of replace stock dialer app. But google did not give anything, Anyone have app like aosp dialer app? From aosp roms dialer apps not work,
Sorry for bad english.
Happy New Year !
I have a rooted Xperia Z3c , latest lollipop rom, standard installation, xposed, some sound enhancement, ported Z5 camera etc...
Main problem is that after lollipop install the root call blocker app won't block anything, it has strange behaviour.
Freshly installed, not working, not blocking anything incoming or outgoing calls. After a few hours the same app block every incoming or outgoing calls. Very strange.
So I sent bug report, pm etc. to developer and he is saying that this app was tested on Z3c and everything is working fine.
Any of you are using this app on this phone model ? Do you have the same issues ? Have you tried to resolve it ? Have you succeed ?
Thank you for your answers !
Just use the Call barring function found in the Settings portion, whats odd is that the Call blocker requires root permissions

Hi guys,
you know how this goes, if you bought a Xiaomi phone in Europe, chances are you ended up with MIUI EEA - which ain`t bad but it comes with google Dialer and Messages. The last two have some great options (RCS messages) and block sapm calls (Dialer) but they are missing call recorder.
Now most of the folks would unlock bootloader and put up xiaomi.eu or china rom or another rom to get stock MIUI dialer and get call recording back... but in case you just lazy or dont want to go that path you can simply replace the diailer with one that supports call recording and it will do the job.
I used TruePhone dialer and it works just great, need some tweaks to get to best audio quality (formarts and etc) and also some visual overhaul, I did a video about it, you can check it here.
What other dailers or call recording tools (like ACR Cube) do you use on EEA?
I am also using this dialer, it is relay cool.
U mnie truephone nie nagrywa. wczesniej mialem lenovo z6 pro tam dzialal ale tel byl zrotowany. Proszę o jakies sugestie.

MOD EDIT: English Translation Below

Not working for Xiaomi note 8 pro global.... how to enable it?
Ask in the Note 8 pro forum, not here.
I've been using this dialer for a while, it never worked on my Note 9 but now call recording works perfectly on my Mi 11
Doesn't work on renoir with MIUI EEA 12.5.5, all recordings only contain silence. The EEA ROMs do not have the necessary system hooks to enable (any) call recorders to work. So good job EU with your stupid regulations. Xiaomi of course must comply to sell their phones here. But they should enable us to get this feature without losing others (i.e. unlocking and flashing a ROM with call recording and losing warranty/find device/certification/stability and so on).
I root my phone (for other purposes) and re-enable call recording on my Google Dialer. So no need to switch.
Admittedly Xiaomi's own call recorder is easier to use, but I am sticking with Google Dialer since it works.
does it work with bluetooth headset? @velqn
Google dailer can record phone calls, i have Mi 11 with Google dailer i have that option.

Yeah, well thats true, but it can do it.
I updated the EU ROM to Indonesian ROM and got the record option. But the folder is always empty.
I put the above dialler and its folder also stays empty. NO RECORDINGS!
Any idea? Should I change something else along with putting record automatically?
Is like I got only the buttons... not the functionality.
