Hi,
Im new on the motorola devices, I updated my RAZR I to JB using:
91.2.26001.Orange.en.GB - 4.1.2
I have google now, but no camera app for Jelly bean, can anyone tell me if it's possible to have photosphere with it?
Google now and the new design is on, but not the camera
attached is the screenshot for the system info.
No photosphere, but you should have panorama in shooting mode options.
Photosphere requires a gyroscope sensor which is missing in the Razr i.

Photosphere is a feature of android 4.2. There will be no feature like this until we do not flash the 4.2 camera manually. But I think this will be possible soon We just have to get some development going
Where did you hear that our Razr I does not have a gyroscope? The gyroscope is the sensor which causes my screen to rotate, isn't it? Even on my old Nexus S the 4.2 camera worked flawlessly with Android 4.1.

Giroscope is not the same thing then accelerator.
I do not know if the razr i have a giroscope.

I dont know if its applicable with this version of the optimuos but the lg camera ap was posted in the g2x forums try searching there.
I am very dissapointed with O4X stock camera. Hard to focus especially in night /low light condition (without flash)
Why LG only provide 2 mode for focusing, and those mode works almost the same way?
Manual focusing by tapping on screen doesn`t help improve quality.
They should add more focusing mode like macro etc.

I recently got my hands on a GNote (coming from Nexus S) and I notice I can't swipe from the camera directly into the gallery... When I try, touch to focus comes in the way and won't let me swipe to gallery, however, the other way around works.. I can swipe from gallery directly to the camera no problem.
What jb rom are you using?
I am on asylum cm10 and its working fine
And i dont understand..without going into gallery, how can you swipe back to camera
I am using LiquidSmooth 2.0 RC1.
let me try to explain better. I open up the camera app, take a photo and if I try to wipe right to see the photo I've just taken, all that happens is that touch to focus comes into play. Now, if I press the little thumbnail on the lower right side of the camera app, it takes me to gallery from where I can swipe left, back into the camera app.
CM10 and working

I tried cm10,jellycore,asylum cm10 and aokp
In all the roms, its working fine
Look, I made a video showing my problem: http://youtu.be/MSbHUSVqaIc
I guess i dont have permission to see the video
It says "This video is private"
My bad, I set it to private instead of unlisted. Please try again.

I guess it is, but it's something I can easily live with. Out of the 4 JB roms I've tried this is by far my favourite.

I put those in JB_MINI_Project ROM, some works, but camera had FC.
Pls someone can make Photosphere work.
Did X8 developers don't interest in this new cool photosphere?
This new JB4.2 function is really cool, isn't it?
Can or can't X8 work fine?
This camera requires a gyro sensor which the x8 doesnt have. So you can forget it

No "gyro sensor" no photosphere
It's sad to hear that.
So that, thanks, I understanded.
This is the stock Android 4.3 camera, from build JSS15J
Among different interface from 4.2 camera, it's got a much more improved photosphere functionality.
Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?yh3ljxb3mqy9xlt
Just replace the gallery apk in /system/app with this one and set permissions to rw-r-r and set ownership to root, then reboot.
It's compatible with 4.2 roms
Enjoy! :good:
I dont think this is stable for every day use.. I might did something wrong because i did get some FC but is not bad looking and kind of faster than 4.2..

It's working good to me, no FC
Did you're running a high bigmem kernel? If so, try a non bigmem to see if it's better
No Photosphere!
Downloaded the app and installed it in my Nexus S running CM 10.1.2. Gallery and camera works fine (experienced random FCs), but Photosphere option is missing! How to get it working? The menu shows only Still, Video and Panorama; Photosphere icon (as in 4.2 camera) is missing.

The image shown is that of the camera settings. I was not talking about that. In the image there is a camera icon on the left, by hitting that you will get the other types of camera. But in my device the Photosphere option is missing from that menu. It was available earlier with 4.2 camera.
Got FC when switching from front cam to back cam. No other issues and the app is noticeably faster.
RE:
This app is missing many options. If you look at the 4.1.2 or 4.2 camera app there are much more options: such as outdoor visibility, anti shake etc etc.
I'm running CM 10.2 on Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE - i9305 ....the stock camera app is really really bad and lacks tons of effects, settings, exposure changes won't work, ISO changes don't work and I would really love to get back on 4.1.2. stock app if that is possible? Any one knows how to do that?

Edit: One more quest: Cant the stock camera and the stock gallery be seperated? Cauze I like the Stock Android Camera but not its gallery! I want to remain on the Samsung's Stock Gallery with Android's Stock Camera! Is it possible?

Great!
Thanks, great camera. Is compatible with other device?
was wandering everywhere, here the destination was. thanks mate.
Hello everyone, i've been using 4.2.2 Tonyp rom for the last 6 months, but the camera is really bad. The video recording is horrible, and i am unhappy about owning a phone capable of 1080p recording but not being able to use it.
Is there any 4.1 or 4.2 ROM with good camera ?
Or I have to use the original stock ROM in order to get acceptable camera quality?
Thanks in advance
Have you flashed feav's camera mod? It ports the stock camera app to Cyanogenmod.

Thanks for the hint! I'm facing similar problems, and I try to use @feav mode to improve camera quality.
The last Cyanogenmod nightlies camera quality are not really good enough.
Thanks again for the share!
I use lg camera for photo and video, also motoblur for video and hdr camera for photo
