Bravia & Music Info Download won't work.
So, after I'd unlocked the BE, I saw BE and Music Info Download were gone. Then I relocked the bootloader, flashed the .197 firmware using flashtool and ... bam, the BE won't work too. I can comfirm I have locked the bootloader and unroot. But these 2 still won't work. I tried to take the picture with BE on/off and they are the same. Please help me....

I have read some threads on other xperia forums where there are methods to get it back working again, but I am not sure if it has been managed yet on the T.
The fact these things break when unlocking the bootloader via official methods is very clearly explained on the Sony site and is maybe the only reason why any dev may still be trying to find an unnoficial way to unlock the bootloader.
Try searching in the xperia S forum, i think thats where it has been done before

Most likely not. These modules require DRM keys that are removed when unlocking the bootloader,
Another reason for me to sold this and buy it again. Will cost money but I just very love this device, but I love Bravia more....
how do you check to see if Bravia is working? I have an unlocked BL on my TX and the Bravia engine is showing enabled in Display settings.

Try watching a video or look at pictures with it turned off and on. In your case, unlocked BL, you should see no difference.

Solved the Download Music Info Security Error and Mobile Bravia Engine
Please note this is for the Xperia V but you can follow same method with Xperia T but please download ftf firmware and relock file for your device if your device is not Xperia V shown below.

Another thing do not used the CredentialManagerService.apk when you download instead use on one on your device like this :-
Steps
1.Download Walkman_port_few_fixes.zip shown below
2.Clear data for Download Music Info and all Walkman apps, under settings>apps>all
3.With Root Explorer or any root managerCopy CredentialManagerService.apk from /system/app to your SD card.
4.Copy CredentialManagerService.apk from SD card to /system folder
5.Change permissions to rw-r-r
6.Move the CredentialManagerService.apk in /system folder and paste in /system/app
7.Delete .odex file for CredentialManagerService if you're on a odexed stock ROM.
8.Shutdown and flash stock kernel with Flashtool using the kernel from the FTF file of the Firmware you
are currently using by downloading the ftf file below, be sure to not wipe Data(you will loose apps)
and System(you will loose root. Uncheck wipe data and check Exclude System.
9.Relock your bootloader by downloading the FTF file below. Turn on your device.
Another thing you want to uninstall your root manager or file manager app I used, do not enable setting to root as it will keep shutting your device down when you open the file maanger app so leave it unrooted as not sure how to fix it.
So now your download music info should work.

That's because you'll need a credentialmanager.apk from a tx that hasn't been unlocked yet

Started flashtool, pushed Flash, but no FW is available. Maybe I have to convert the .sin files in one .ftf file, but how?

Can you set the flashtool to debug mode ? (Help->Log Level->Debug) and try again, then send me the log file ?
I'm not an expert, but from that log it looks like it'll be a while before the new phones are rooted, looks like they can't be rooted in the same way as the previous SE Droids!

Good news about flashing
Succesfully flashed by Decrypted ROM (without root...)
Guys why don't you try something to root the ARC like the nexus s phone?
i think they are at the same ver2.3.2
Maybe it will help looking at nexus s dev forum?
i would like to root it as i just brought mine today.
its a generic ver. with no branding of telco.
Nexus S was not rooted. It was security unlocked. Same will be done with XPERIA Arc.

But that doesn't mean it that it will take eternities, or will it? I think about getting the Arc and rooting is not a must, but would be really nice to have for such things as SetCPU...
How much has to be done to enable rooting for it, or will it all be solved by unlocking the bootloader?

What loader did you use? If you select the arc, I notice it just hangs. However, if you use the X10 loader it completely very quickly.

Has anyone here decrypted ROM from their phone. I did the SEUS update and placed two files into a folder and decrypted them with FlashTool then when it tried to package it up it get stuck here
"Adding loader.sin to the bundle" and this happens when I select the ARC option but if I do the X10 it goes through.
Any hints?

It works fine with DooMKernel #4 on Xperia Arc S (1.4GHz)
Now, I can see that it is LT15i in phone info - I'm not shure what was before.
No errors during flashing, clear install.
I just flash the zip file with DoomKerneL recovery and my LT15i boots on ICS. Thank you for the archive.
It runs very good. I don't like that it has a lot of sony appl that I don't need. So, I had to uninstall them

I think what the OP tried to do is to flash /system and /data via CWM (this step is suspectedly failed via flashtool). 2nd, step is flashing the rest of kernel.sin, baseband etc via flashtool. In my case, it will stuck at Sony logo.
Then I flashtool the full official ftf, and excluded flashing system.sin - and it works that way.

which firmware are you on?
If you are on 7.0.A.3.195 you cannot root that way, you must unlock the bootloader.

You must be rooted.
Change the folder to R/W (Not R/O) by using root explorer (There is a button at the top of the screen that lets you do this)

What is the difference? Sorry, i honestly do not use it.
X-reality
It boosts the saturation of some photos...i always test it by using flower_bed.jpg given by Sony in our phones...the sky in the image gets lot saturated once it loads
I relocked my bootloader but it's still not working.
How did you relock? If it was with flashtool then it wont work, if it was by restoring your TA it should work as long as your TA backup was taken before you unlocked.

I am sure you have google photo app, open some picture with deep colours on that app and then in sony's album app. if you dont see difference then x reality isnt working.
mine used to work but with 4.4.4 its not working. even after i flash 4.2's x reality fix.
this would need some work so now lets be patient. and wait for devs to work.

yeah. tested it. no change. right, just gonna have to wait. maybe sony will release another fix. they should know about the problem, if they tested it properly.

For those who have problem with X-Reality, try wiping your data (Factory Reset), it worked for me on locked bootloader.
X reality is working on 4.4.4 for z1c too..

Actually i have no problems withs the x realty. To check my x realty i use thus photo
If the blue continue to get deeper while ur x realty is on so ur x realty is working as it should.
Unlocking bootloader makes u lost the TA partition and DRM keys which related to X Realty on Bravia Engine. I am on 4.4.4 and my phone is working ? %
I know even if u press on it on the forum nothing will happen try to save it on ur phone or download (xperia shop) from play store and search for this photo and save it.

hi, maby its not right place to ask! any easyway to root this rom? if not, anyone can give us kernel link for this ROM so I can root my phone and flash back the kernel

towelroot , rooting this rom ? I did that by flashing another kernel then flash back B.2.15 kernel since I didn't have 2.29 one! is that cause problem?
also , accidently I disable Xperia HOME LUNCHER and basic with T.B , now my phone have boot problem! any chance I be able to enable that? I have recovery menu , but NO old backup! just got one backup after this error so I be able to restore some part but it didn't help...

Try Factory reset if it's not work then flash ur xperia

I thought its because of my kernel , but I flash the right one! still have the problem, I cant enable Xloud from SOUND menu

Yep Most Sony phones have 1 year support, E1 is almost 2 years old, and of course a low-end phone, so it's logical. Cyanogen would be nice, don't know if it's possible with the ROMS I linked in another thread.
