Galaxy Ace 2.3.6 update

Hi...all i want to update my galaxy ace s5830 to Gingerbread 2.3.6 & my current version is 2.3.5..... Before update i want to know about whats new in 2.3.6. & glad if anyone can post few screenshots here....because some says there is a change in screenlock & call screen & dialpad+memo icons in 2.3.6 update for india (DDKQ8) ....i want to know whether the changes are common to worlwide 2.3.6 .updates or its just for india version....
*****my current version is XWKS9 & i have know idea about will the DDKQ8 2.3.6 support my phone....please help me... i m new here....There is a screenshot of my current os version....

if u live in india,then go to samfirmware.com and download newest firmware for india..then download odin and .ops file from same site,then unpack downloaded firmware and open odin as administrator.Then checj one package square and put firmware file in last box in odin...
Phone part:
Enable usb debbuging in settings,and put ur phone i download mode..then connect it to computer(while odin is open and set up)and u will see yellow square in odin...Then just click start and wait fo process to complete..

Thax Bro for the reply& Thax also for the odin process!!! ,,,,but im not live in the India ..Seems you have a Galaxy Ace Gt-s5830... if you have the Gingerbread 2.3.6 version on your phone can you kindly publish some screenshots for me?? of Home Screen,income Call Screen,Lock Screen & the system version screenshot please..because then i can notice what are the major changes in 2.3.6.... Please?

Im using custom rom at the moment...There is some ui changes like incomming call buttons are now green and red circles and homescreen icons are little different and the proces is same for all countries..i asumed u are from india bcz u mentioned indian firmware

thank a lot again...thanx for your kindness again!! no im not live in the india..i mentioned about the indian version because when i googld for the latest firmware i got to know about the 2.3.6 ddkq8 is realesed for india & i just wanted to know is it worth to update & what are the changes i would get......still dont have any decision whether is it worth to do this update or stay in the current 2.3.5. Helps are welcome

theres no huge difference in 2.3.6...
i would recommend you to root ur phone and install some custom rom

Lockscreen is huge changed
Incoming call screen changed
Some ics fw backports (if you say no u are wrong ) ive checked it and know almost fully hoe the whole sammy roms work

i am not much interested in custom roms..i av alredy rooted the phone..btw any custom rom suggestions?? & tellme is it possible to flash the stock rom with odin if we want to get rid of custom roms??

I used some custom roms based on stock,but now im using cm 10.1 beta 5...battery on roms based on stock is good,but on cm it lasts less..and o stock based roms no bugs,and on cm theres few bugs as its still in beta development stage...

My personal favourite is ImaginaryICS Final.
It's getting a little bit older now but still a fantastic ROM with good speed and excellent battery life.

There's a lite rooted version in development section I think. Or asked faria he may do a rooted ROM for you if asked nicely.

PM faria and ask if he can port the rooted ROM for you, he might just help you. Do you need German firmware or are you from elsewhere in Europe, if so there's German rooted firmware in development section see below.

I have added the SU binarys and SuperSU App to the original Rom (I8190XXALJL_I8190OXAALJL_DBT_SamMobile_DBT), nothing else.

This rom is primarily for GER unlocked devices (DBT)
- Flash via Odin in PDA-Mode
- no wipe needed

is ok if i flash it with a firmware from another region ?

Ur phone'll work fine but some ppl have reported about GPS not working properly, kies not detecting phone, ...etc...etc... The letter 'i' in model number also matters. Do it at ur OWN RISK!!

When I bought my phone, the phone comes with italy's TIM Mobile FW ...
but the problem is .... phone is scanning sdcard almost all the time ...
So, I decided to flash with UK FW ...
everything is OK until now ... (Now I'm using JellyBlast v3)
But like "Galaxy_Rohit" said Do it with your own RISK ....

The ROM is great and stable ...
U can get JB UI experience ...
try yourself ....
if the ROM is with pack of bugs, why would I have to use it ...?

As title said , i own a galaxy s3 mini , model GT-l8190 , android version 4.1.1 , baseband version l8190XXALL2 ( rooted already ) , kernel version 3.0.31 -639956 , build number JRO03H.l8190XXALL2.
I got it from orange shop , i rooted it , and i saw some posts here about firmware upgrade to android 4.1.2 , i wanna know if is available on my country which is romania , or i can install any firmware on it , for example UK one?

install Samsung Kies on your computer & connect your device via usb-cable with it... then Kies will answer your question

just did that , and samsung kies said : you cannot upgrade your firmware via kies . On short

you have two options:
1. Wait for official firmware update to 4.1.2 for romania.
2. make a complete backup with cwm recovery & try an UK or other 4.1.2 firmware ..... but i don´t recommend it because of baseband differences...

I dont know what changes 4.1.2 brought accept bugfixes, but im kinda dissapointed that they removed water lockscreen and if i got mine on 4.1.1 i think i wouldnt update it until we get 4.2

Why don't you try South East Europe ROM,or generic? Check sammobile, there's plenty of ROM `s. Just make sure you have the correct ROM (if you have 8190N you need ROM with N). I just flashed latest 4.1.2 (BTU) as wanted `` clean `` stock ROM and so far very impressed...

BTU is UK. Anyway, you have nothing to lose. So give it a try. Do hard reset before and after flashing. Mine is 8190NXXALL6.

I used this firmware before and this firmware is official and was released in Israel by "sunny - סאני official importer of Samsung brand in Israel under "Pelephone" cellular company back in the day..
Flash this firmware via Odin and you good to go :]

I using this firmware on my phone but there is no s3 mini firmware from ilo region. Is there any chance you could help me find one with Hebrew?

There is several S3 editions available in the market, which one he have?
you can check that by going to settings-->about phone --->model number
post here the model number and i will try to look for ILO firmware for your friend :]

Hey, the right section for that question it's the S3 mini Q&A
There people knows better S3 mini's firmwares, ask there and not in another device's forum.

Alright, after a little research in the web, i didn't find any official Israeli stock ROM for GT-8190.
But you can install "MoreLocale 2" App in order to make your phone's language in hebrew.
BUT As far as i know, you must ROOT your phone first and only then it will take effect.
