I want to get the note with ATT after I leave verizon (no point in staying if I can't keep unlimited when I upgrade). I want to know that if I install roms for the I7000 or whatever (international version, right?) will I run into any problems? Is there any differentiation between the att version of the note and the international one? And if so, how can I weed out the development for the att note?
Also curious, if I can install international roms on the ATT version, will I retain my lte?
Different phones. Use the AT&T Note thread for information.

Different hardware entirely. Either buy the ATT note and checkout the ATT note forum, or do what I did and buy the international note (unlocked) and use on AT&T network (in which case this is the correct forum). But you can't mix.

That's exactly what I did. I have the unlocked GT-N7000 (this forum model) on the ATT network. But yeah, totally different phones.

I have been doing a ton of research on the Note, so this is one of the few questions I can answer here. Not all of them...but most. Since I am still new here I am unable to add links.
The Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 (International) has a a dual-core 1.4 GHz Exynos processor. Externally, it has a physical "home" button and two touch-sensitive buttons. It also has a built in radio.
The Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-I717 (US & Canada) has a Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion CPU and an Adreno 220 GPU. It has four touch-sensitive buttons instead of two. It can do LTE.
Looking at that you might think that the I717 is just better all around. This -apparently - is incorrect. In the bench marked tests I saw with a Galaxy Note with Exynos VS. the Galaxy Note with Snapdragon, the Exynos based one beat Snapdragon performance wise.
Galaxy Note with Exynos
GLBenchmark 2.1 Egypt High: 2827 Frames (25.0 Fps)
GLBenchmark 2.1 Egypt Standard: 3012 Frames (26.7 Fps)
Galaxy Note with Snapdragon
GLBenchmark 2.1 Egypt High : 1014 Frames (9.0 Fps)
GLBenchmark 2.1 Egypt Standard : 2425 Frames (21.5 Fps)
The site I found this from is called "Galaxy Tabs" from a a Feb 6, 2012 post.
Which leaves the question - Why would Samsung use a less hefty chip in the US & Canada version. The reason I have found is that the Exynos processor can't do LTE. Then again - weather all this is good or not depend on preferences and pattern of use.
------------------
So there you have it. I should mention though that (I presume) you did a terrible job searching. Not only did I find a post here from 28th February 2012 Called i717 vs GT N7000, but I also found alot of information from -wait for it- Wikipedia. Just FYI.
On the upside though - most of the stuff I mentioned I did from memory.
YAY research!
The att i717 has lte. If u using internet alot and your area has lte. Its better to use the att gnote. U can always overclock tge i717gnote to make tge clock faster.. After overclock there's no lag issues and it runs super smooth. But if u want more custom roms abd faster offical update. Buy the international gnote. Either way u cant go wrong. I chose attgnote cos tge lte and i overclock my note. It runs super smooth and super fast downloads cos tge lte!!

I am getting a Note I now
I am getting confused with mixed reviews of N7000 and I717
Hardware seems good with N717(N.America ATT Version) but there seems lack of software dev on it!
I dont need LTE at all!
Can someone suggest which one to go with?
I already own a iPhone i am just getting note for an productivity!
If you need the device NOW.. Why don't you get a note II (there's a note II per carrier in USA) if you are not from USA get the N7100.. If you can't afford note II and you are from USA and your carrier it's AT&T get the I717, but anything else just get the N7000 because it has better hardware..
Price difference between note I and note II its not much.. Check on Amazon
Cheers

Can someone please clear me the different variants of S5 Mini available?
As per GSMArena S5 Mini has Exynos Processor, but as per XDAForum's S5 Mini section it has Snapdragon 400
Please mention all the available variants, both single and dual sim ones.
And will it be a wise decision to buy S5 Mini in terms of future software support from Dev community like Cyanogenmod (for both single, dual sim and also Exynos/Snapdragon variants)
Thanks in Advance
There is already topic on this, check it out
Hello, currently I have a tmobile galaxy s3 running on simple mobile. It is really on its last leg. I was thinking of going with the galaxy s5 mini. I remember when I was shopping for my s3, there were a bunch of different variations to the s3. I would like the s5 mini to be 4g lte capable, not sure if that is possible.
-Are there different variations of the s5 mini?
-Which one is the best and why?
-Will it be 4g lte capable?
-Does tmobile even sell the s5 mini, im having trouble finding it on there website?
Thanks all.

Galaxy S5 mini:
G800F <-- Exynos 3470 SoC + 4G LTE capable
G800H <-- Snapdragon 400 SoC
had the S3 Neo (with a snapdragon 400) before s5 mini, i have to say that the mali400-mp4 gpu is faster than adreno-305 specially in 2D games/apps
best choice is the G800F if you want LTE too

So the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Dual Sim & 256GB Internal Storage Maple Gold/Blue Colour is not available in Canada at the moment, so I have to order it through my parents who will bring it for me from abroad.
There are two Dual Sim and 256GB variants of the Galaxy Note8 that are available to me, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (which is from Hong Kong Region) and the Samsung Exynos 8895 version (from UAE/Gulf Region).
I am more interested in the Samsung Exynos 8895 version from UAE/Gulf Region because Battery Life is one of my main priorities and I am more into Multi-Tasking than Gaming. Though I do game during my leisure time like Clash of Clans, Miniclip games, etc.
So will I be able to use the Exynos 8895 Variant from UAE/Gulf Region seamlessly in Canada? LIKE I really want the "SAMSUNG PAY" TO WORK IN CANADA, GALAXY APPS STORE, AND ALL OTHER FEATURES with ease.
Or "Samsung Pay" only works if I buy a Galaxy Note8 from Canada???!
Or IS IT MORE WISE TO GET THE SNAPDRAGON 835 Hong Kong version to use in Canada, because most android devices here have SD chipsets?
And which is the Best in terms of Battery Life, Camera, Multi Tasking, some Gaming, SD 835 or Exynos 8895 for the Galaxy Note8 for use in Canada??
And I intend to use the phone for the next 3 to 4 years, as Im spending about $1000 on this phone.
If anything I would be concerned in what bands it supports and whether those bands will work with the Canadian carrier you are with. Secondly, Samsung Pay is not readily available in Canada. I think only CIBC users with CIBC credit cards can use Samsung Pay at the moment. No one else can.
