Hello, i have had a browse through these forums for this answer, but i couldnt find anything. Sorry if i missed the forum
Where are the water indicators on the galaxy note? Ive took the battery out and couldnt find one at all. Are they on the inside of the phone?
On mine there's one beneath the battery and three more inside the device on different parts of the motherboard.
Cheers

I've always wondered the same thing. I don't have any on mine either. I just figured it must be a carrier specific thing to have the water indicators.

On the n7000 they are put in by Samsung not Carrier (or Cartier for that matter)

Can anyone suggest me how to activate NFC in my note or use it ??
Note does not have nfc xD

Did you even read the specs of the Note before buying it ?
The Note(GT-N7000) doesn't support NFC
it's better you sell your Note and get the Note 2 (when Sammy will release it), perhaps that comes already with NFC that you truly desire for.

LOL
I think it can only be activated with the samsung battery that was seen on many photos at the galaxy note release, because you would need the antenna inside it to use nfc. But i have not seen samsung selling any of these batteries yet.

Don't you think there may soon be also any sort of 'smart covers' with nfc antennas inside?

Most versions of the GT-N7000 do NOT have NFC. It is extremely RARE to find.

Samsung has put the design of the NFC in the N7000.. Not sure what their plan is when it comes to the rollout to the public.. I was able to see it on the schematics of the N7000..
You can look it up on Dr. Ketan's toolbox.. Galaxy note Service manual..
The Samsung website is remarkably difficult to decipher when it comes to this. I am fine with mailing my phone somewhere and waiting for a repair, and fine with being billed for the repair -- the USB port broke because I dropped it one too many times with the cable connected -- but I can't figure out who is supposed to take my money and fix the thing! Help?
there are these parts on ebay and other sites. and lots of tutorials on how to change it.

Wow. This never even occurred to me; I never imagined it would be user-replaceable. I guess this must be a fairly common problem.
eBay seems to have them only arrive in a month, Amazon doesn't seem to have them at all. Is there anyone who can deliver this week that you know of? I really don't know where to look for this kind of thing.
I'm sorry I am in a different continent and here in know local phone repair shops who can get it soon for me. Try them in ur area

Hello!
A friend of mine's dog dropped my S3 Mini from my hands, and it made a scratch on the phone's housing.
Is there some way to change it?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if it has beed asked before.
Nobody?
Yes.
Find service manual somwhere and buy parts.
Or take it to the service center

You can change the back cover with a metallic one (I've seen dozens for S3, surely they are also made for the mini)
Just search google images for "galaxy s3 metallic cover"
Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini i8190 disassembly.
So I am having trouble finding replacement housing for my VZW Note 2. I have looked up and down, across every forum I could think of, and online on every retailer I could find and nothing has turned up. I have cracked the rim on my Note and would like to replace it. The problem is, I can't find replacements anywhere. I can find plenty of the white housings, but not the grey. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Go search ebay for "Note 2 oem frame" they are about 20 bux

Sprint one isn't work with verizon... Ad it does not have a sim card slot cut out.
Each version has a specific housing. You MUST purchase a Verizon one. Otherwise you could lose cell reception or damage the internals of the phone in some way. There are tiny little contact points for the radio antennas that are on the back frame. Each version has a different location for these antenna.

Just look for a 50% off coupon in one of these threads and go to the Samsung website and you will be done. It's not that complicated.

I need more than the battery door...I need the whole housing. Unless I missed the item on their site, I doubt it's going to be under the accessory section.

Thanks for your reply. I have searched online too but I cannot find it either. It is really annoying because I have found the complete network antenna unit but not the simple GPS antenna.
