Can someone who has Xperia T with Jelly Bean on, give a screenshot of a picture with Bravia on, and another screenshot of that pic with Bravia off ? Please, can you give me that? Even if Bravia doesn't work, I still want to see it myself.

[Hackberrybold have you ever unlocked bootloader before ? i see, your bravia engine in your phone is working
Is it just me or the 2 pictures are the same ?
I don't see a difference either
Did I help? Please press the thanks button

1) to see a difference, you will need your monitor screen not pushing the extremes of contrast and brightness. Most ppl at work use high contrast so that text looks clear against a white background.
2) Do not expect to see a different between BE1 and BE2 as if the difference was large enough Sony would demonstrate that way!
Both pictures look the same because, if my limited graphic manipulation knowledge doesn't fail me, both are exactly the same. You can check this by loading both pictures as different layers, inverting one of them, and "adding up" the layers. You will end up with an empty image, because they cancel each other out perfectly.
I believe Bravia Engine is a software layer that handles how images are displayed on screen, therefore taking a screenshot would not be affected by it, since the underlying file is the same.
The only way to measure the difference would be to take a photo of the screen with another device, obviously locking white balance, exposure, etc. between the two shots.
Both pictures are pixel to pixel equivalent. And they should be, as screenshot taken from screen buffer, and that's before BE starts to change colours...

Hi everyone, i might have a problem with my OB. WHen i use camera some blue dots are appearing in the videos :| as well in the pictures, most often in low light environment. Anyone has the same issues? Sorry for my english btw.
Yea I have the same exact problem
Same here. U find solution?

Do you guys maybe have a screen problem? I mean, go to hidden menu and make a display test, or simply upload a black, a white, a green and maybe a red picture to your phone. If you also see the spots there, you got dead pixels, otherwise, maybe ur cam is dirty?
or maybe you see "camera noise"

No It's not dead pixels, just when taking pictures with the camera.
no, not dead pixels, its something with the camera. I've searched on the web and i found problems like this at many other phones. But just in low light environment, so i guess its hardware. I'm using zeus v6.39 but i dont think its software , or could i be wrong?
Here is an example

Same here. But I think is software, I have the same problem with stock-based ROMs. Now I'm using CM7 and I don't have this issue.

I prefer Bravia OFF, colors seem more natural. Also it seems Bravia engine applies a sharpening filter, which produces an ugly effect on the tulip fields shot.
This is not BE ON VS OFF, those devices don't even have comparable screen panel.

@maxboy:
You just need to turn on BE, take a screenshot of the picture. Then you turn off BE, and take another screenshot of the same picture. Compare it.

I think what maxboy meant was that the S3 and XT dont have the same screen. S3 has a much more responsive and vivid super AMOLED as in Organic LED, while the XT has simple TFT LCD. The XT makes up for this screen quality by the higher PPI and Bravia Engine itself.

I was comparing the images in the OP's dropbox folder, which are supposed to be from the same device.
Can't compare
Dude you can"t compare that, the Xperia T and the S3 have different screens, take a photo with and without BE on the Xperia if you want to show this to us.
Isn't that exactly what he did? Check the dropbox link.
I have got the HTC One from the end of May. But I still have some questions on my phone's "UltraPixels" Camera.
I wonder whether this technology is a software adjustment or a hardware settings?
4 MegaPixels should be all right for daily usage, but I always like to pinch to zoom my photos while browsing.
HTC One failed to reveal some details in the picture comparing to Samsung GS4 or Sony Xperia Z. I want to ask if it is possible to abandon the UltraPixels technology to boost the camera resolution to 8MP or even 13MP? Any app can do it?
Attaching my photo taken using ultraPixel HTC One at Hong Kong IFC Centre!

I believe it's hardcoded into the sensor that it only uses 4 mp for the image, while the rest of the pixels on the sensor used solely for exposure and gathering light

The phone only has 4 megapixels
They are larger than your regular phone megapixels, there isn't separate sensors for gathering light since that's how all camera work in the first place.
So to the OP, no.. Do some research on how these things work. Really.

You need to learn how to take pictures with the One because the pictures you have posted are terrible quality and the first is washed out. You're always best to focus on the sky and underexpose the rest of the shot and then edit in Photoshop or something because the quality of pictures I've taken are way, way, way better than them lol
hi guys, i've recently recieved a Xperia Z C6602 as present
been using it for a couple week now
great phone, however
just a moment ago, i was tried to take some night photo shots
and found a small problem with the camera
hope if anyone could help me, coz it's kind of annoying
the HDR and all the other function seems to work fine
photo under auto ISO setting is no too bad
however with the manual ISO setting (with or with out HDR engaged...)
i have found that the displayed image on the phone screen before photo taken, from ISO 100 ~ ISO 400
is actually much darker then the actual photo taken!
but the ISO 800 ~ ISO 1600 seems to be with out this issue (and ofcoz auto ISO also do not have this problem)
for example
[ISO 100]

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
[ISO 200]
just wondering if anyone have the same problem?
is this a bug for the camera? or is this normal?
i had a bit of look online but didn't find much in regard to this issue
tried to play with the setting, changing the photo size, still didn't help
i really love taking photos
was using HTC ONE MINI before this
and changed to Z now with much higher res, it's awesome
but this problem with the display before taking photo is actually very annoying
for that, i can not see clearly, and predict the outcome of the photo this way
can anyone please help?
bump....
can anyone help please :crying:
tried to contact sony, haven't got anything back from them yet....

I know optical zoom is better rather than digital zoom.
Check this(taken from my phone)- http://www.arif-khan.net/xda/sample.JPG
& also this(taken from another SP)- http://www.arif-khan.net/xda/DSC_0811.jpg
Check quality, Zoom-in etc you can feel the difference.
But is it the phone or the rom?
Could try this Xperia M cam port by dipesh, to see whether any difference..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701096
Seems like having better focus than stock.. one problem though: FC when manually setting iso.
Better keep a cwm backup if you're gonna try this.. I don't know whether it works on existenz rom.
