This forum isn't for Xperia Ray btw.
I tried to flash the 4.2.2 update to my xperia because i didnt want to have to wait for my carrier to release it. I used flashtool but i flashed the wrong ftf file. now my device will not boot up past the Sony logo screen and it keeps restarting it and each time it only gets to the sony screen. I have tried to flash a different ftf file and the phone connects to flashtool but when it is going to start flashing the device switches on and thus is dissconnected from flashtool. it is the c6603 version and it is rooted but not bootloader unlocked. any suggestions?

If you hold power button alongside volume up until the device vibrates, it should turn the phone off. Now it won't reboot anymore, and you'll be able to boot in flashmode.

This forum is for Xperia Z, not Z Ultra
Anyways, you'll need to give us some more information. Did you flash your divece? Is it rooted? Which software are you using etc.
If your bootloader is still locked you could try to repair your phone using Sony PC Companion.
If not please report back.

Firslty, wrong section.
Secondly, don't panic, just download a FTF file from post 2 of the very first thread in the Q & A section. then download and install flashtool from the very first thread in the dev section and use it to flash the FTF file to your phone.
PS, I must ask why you unlocked your bootloader?
Dun worry flash back ur stock Rom using ftf file

hey guys,
I think my phone is bricked . I was trying to install a second rom with the help of Mithun's Rom Switcher (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425946) and when I tried to flash it it said no errors BUT when it shutdown the device didn't boot at all.
th thing that DON'T WORK is my display and my LED(it has to become purple before entering recovery), I already tried to connect the phone with flashtool doesn't see my device
the things THAT work are the LED(when I put in charger), hard reset with vibration(power + vol up 10sec) and hard shutdown with vibration(power + vol up 15sec)
please help me get any rom/recovery back
For the record I have a LTE version Xperia Z (C6603)

my communication with flashtool is restored(windows 8 driver reinstall resolved the communication) but I'm still unable to flash something.
Try SUS. You might lose everything but at least your phone will work.
Whoever said it can't rain all the time never went to England.

Your device has entered bootloop. You need to use flashtool to reflash the device specific firmware.
Use xpirifirm to download the firmware (it's around 800MiB).
ok i will try
