why do you want it in the stock slot. Why don't you just put this rom in your slot 1 and never go back to stock?

Because slot 1 so slow and use sd card memory. Because slot 1 this just *.img files, not normal slots for flashing roms. Can i flash Eclipse rom v1.2.1 to stock slot?

Personally I am using Blurry Maxx rom (3.8 don't upgrade to 4.1.2 version it lags and buggy to me) and it's fast as heck. Way faster than stock.

Well the safest way used to be PC Odin....but see here.....some instance of PC odin getting stuck and then giving you super brick http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653582
You can even use Mobile Odin. No one reported bricking through that...but all risks on your own !!
I used Mobile Odin to flash LC2 and the CF kernel together. No problems and I'm glad to be back to a stable rom!

1-Download a kernel fx franco is what you need and copy it to your sd
2-Go to recovery
3-Flash a zip
4-Choose franco kernel
5-In advance restart revovery/if you cant just turn off the phone and reboot to revovery
6-Wipe every thing
7- Flash a gb rom you have downloaded
Can I use mobile odin lite
hi all got the same issue app crashing ram almost full use (thk go power) phone very slow so i want to go back to gb but I just have mobile odin lite version and a pre rooted rom stock of gb.
can i use this to go back safely to gb if yes how if no how can i do
best regards,
Worked with Odin Lite
Just flash back to GB and everything wipe clean (unfortunately) as a new phone
I feel happy and also unhappy
Easiest way of going back is to flash darkys Odin resurrection 3.4. Then via cwm flash whatever u wanna

I'd say do a soft reset first to see is some rogue program is consuming the battery too fast. If not do a factory reset (in the settings of ICS) and use your device without any program to see if it's the OS that's causing the battery drain.
If I were you i'd go back to GB only when absolutely necessary!! There are a lot of advises (already 5 different workarounds in this thread!!!) on this site who can brick your device because you have to know exactly what is currently on your device before choosing the method of returning to GB otherwise it will become a brick. Unfortunately I know what I'm talking about, just bricked my device two days ago (btw I'm not blaming anyone!!). New mainboard is appr. 300 euro, all included.
AIe
Sorry for you
I have successfuly downgrade to GB through Odin Mobile Lite.
I have flash stock rom through PC Odin and it seems that it work (for me)
Now looking how to get back my root
Got my root now waiting again for ics
Best regards

[Q] Upgrade confusion - Froyo to ICS

Hello guys,
I'm currently on:
Froyo 2.2
Kernel 2.6.32.9
[email protected] #91
FROYO.JPJPG
I want to upgrade to RemICS v1.3 (ICS 4.0.4), and my phone is already rooted, so my questions are:
A. Do I need to upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.3 first?
B. Do I need to use ODIN in order to upgrade the Kernel to ICS as well as the ROM.
C. I've almost consumed most of my internal SD memory, so if I do a Nandroid Backup; where would it be stored? and would it include the apps as well as the data, or just the basic data without the apps?
I'm leaning more towards using ODIN than to put the ROM on my SD card, so that if something goes wrong I can flash it directly from there again.
I appreciate your help.

First flash GB rom (best to do via odin). Kernels are usually included within rom so you don`t have to worry about that.Nandroid will be stored on sd but you can move it to your external sd or computer. If you`ll need it later for restoring you`ll simply put it back on int sd. Nandroid does complete picture of your phone, so everything will be backed up. BUT! You can not use nand restore done in GB directly from ICS. You`ll have to go back to GB rom before preforming it.
1. Yes. You need the gingerbread boot loaders.
2. Also yes. You will need Odin a second time to flash an ics kernel with cwm in order to flash the pics zip.
3. A nandroid does everything. Literally. Do one of them, go to another rom, when you come back its exactly as before. Down to the wallpaper and homescreen layout and wether Wi-Fi was on/off for example.

You don't actually need gb bootloader to go to ics, but I recommend it as if anything goes wrong it means as easy reflash to gb , rather than going back to froyo, gb bootloader are needed to get onto cm7, which is where the confusion lies
I made the leap to GB 2.3.6 using Odin. Amazing difference from that stupid Froyo. I'm enjoying GB right now until I find a solid stable ICS.
Thank you guys for the info.

If you want stable ICS I recommend ics333 extreme. Worked flawlessly on my good ol` s1. Since I bought s3 don`t know really how is with development on that rom but you can check it out on forum. Many different roms and ppl with different taste out there. Almost everyone has his favorite. This one worked really good for me.

Want to do a clean ICS reinstall - confused by ROMS and process

Getting sick of the ICS battery and kernel issues and have decided to clean out the phone and install everything fresh.
I am currently on an unrooted stock ICS ROM (N7000XXLRK) and understand that I should go back to a GB ROM first then install ICS. I will search on here for a guide on how to do it (links welcome ) but am confused as to which ROM I should use of the many stock ROMs posted on here.
Since I am going to do a clean install, is it worth going back to the XXLRK ROM or is there an improved one which has sorted the battery kernel issues out? Which GB ROM can I safely go back to without confusing things before I reflash ICS?
Is it recommended that anything else is added or flashed while I have the hood up? Unless there is an uber stable custom ROM I want to stay stock, but will want to root it.

Sorry for asking but why flash Abyss-kernel when " jazzdude555" write he is going back to GB?
If he flash GB then he will wipe there and thats safe.

Revert back from LSA to stock ICS

Hi all,
I know there are couple of other threads on this topic, but each of them gives me different information.
I flashed eybee's XXLSA leak recently but my OCD can't cope with even minor bugs and lag. I'm wanting to go back to stock ICS 4.0.4. I believe I came from a Hong Kong firmware (tgy). I'm rooted with Philz’s kernel.
1 Can reverting back to ICS be done by using recovery, or do I have to use Odin?
2 I don't have an external SD, does that matter?
3 I flashed eybee's supercharger script zip, does that make any difference in the process?
Thank you so much!

1. Yes, you can revert back to ICS by using recovery. I did it with no problem.
2. You do not need an external SD put the zip file on the internal SD card and flash from internal SD card.
You cant flash stock ics using cwm..U need to flash it using odin

Safestrap and Stock ROM (HOME.tar.md5)

Does anyone know if I can use the file N900AUCUCNC2_N900AATTCNC2_N900AUCUCNC2_HOME.tar.MD5 in Safestrap to create another stock rom on my phone?
My idea is to have the Stock ROM slot my everyday use phone, and on Rom Slot 2 another stock rom with every app possible locked/frozen except the camera.
Thanks for any help
