GalaxyTab Model SGH-T849 - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
A friend gave me his previously new Samsung galaxy tab for T-Mobile tablet, he said he's ordered a new nexus 7,and doesn't need the galaxy anymore. The problem with it is when I power it on, it goes through the booting process (the animated screen with music)..then it just 'stops' @ the Samsung logo, and just stays there. When I power it down and press the power key + the volume + key together, it goes to the 'recovery' screen. It's says the following:
--Verifying internal MMC block...
checksum confirmation -> check(0)
Not need checksum confirmation
already executed!!...
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Updating application...
E:failed to mount /preload (No such file or directory)
E:install_application_for_customer:Can't mount /preload
your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions.
copy application failed.
--Appling Multi-CSC...
Installing Multi-CSC
Can't access to '/system/csc/PHN/system/'.
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
Does all of this actually mean the tablet is 'un-usable', or can it somehow be re-loaded with 'stock' firmware ? The previous owner never rooted this tablet, or installed ClockWorkMod on it either. Hopefully....someone else has had this issue before.
Thanks,
David :crying:

[Q] Bell Galaxy S stuck

I've searched the forums here for answer to my question but now I'm more confused than when I started.
I flashed my bell galaxy s with Doc's RomMod Froyo V1 using clockwork. I couldn't get my phone to connect to bell's network so I used one of the recovery files in clockwork to get back to my old rom. This seemed to work but now my phone gets stuck on the Galaxy S samsung screen (before the S animation).
I've read that I can use Odin to fix this but I haven't found instructions on how to do this for the bell vibrant. Can someone please help me out???
Thanks a lot
Update: I used these instructions to try to fix my phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=807886
I got my phone to boot into 2.1 and then 2.2 but I still couldn't connect to bell. I rebooted and then my phone would just freeze on the galaxy s screen again. I used Odin again to flash to 2.1 again but now it gets to the animated S boot screen and then the screen goes blank. The phone's buttons on the bottom are still on and I have to remove the battery to turn the phone off. I can get into recovery mode and i get a bunch of errors.

So I guess since I rooted and flashed different roms it'll be an out of warranty repair? How much did it cost to fix?
Also, is there any way to get my phone working at all before I actually send it into Samsung?
Update: So it seems like I need to somehow flash my phone back to the stock rom before sending it in to samsung. How can I do this with the problem I have?
I am in the same boat now. Luckily I can get download mode, so I can flash back an eclair stock firmware before sending in.
My only issue is i'm not a bell customer (bought the phone and unlocked it), so I'm not sure how to get it back to Samsung (online they say it has to go through repairs). I'm going to try calling them later...
These Bell Galaxy S's seem to corrupt when flashed with a different rom. Doesnt matter what rom, as long as it's not a Bell rom.
Hello,
I got into the same issue yesterday with my Galaxy S. Is there any solution known to fix it?
My Galaxy suddenly froze without being flashing. It just got stuck after a call and I had to remove battery. After that, the recovery automatically started and it showed the same stack. I tried to wipe cache and wipe data but it still in the same way. I tried by flashing to JM8 but all I see is the Galaxy S GT-I9000 logo, the "S" and ... that's all!
This post is 3 months old, maybe something new came to fix this problem!
My phone is not bell, I am from Spain and provider is Movistar. Is there any case known in Spain?
Thanks at all!

[Q] [Help] [GT-I9000M] [Bell Canada] Boot Loop Issue [Odin]

**I've searched, asked, tried many different files--still boot loops**
tl;dr What files do I use in Odin to return to stock from a phone that boot loops? (i have no idea what software was on there before it started)
The phone came from Canada (Bell). Previous owner tried to unlock it for use in the US. Phone worked for a few days then turned off & wouldn't get past boot (it would show animation & sound then go into a black screen with menu/back key lit up). It was also missing volume up/down keys. Phone was given to me as I was moving back to Canada. Now here I am in Canada...
I've ordered & replaced the volume keys, got into download mode, and using Odin I've flashed "I9000XXJVU_I9000OXAJVU_OXA". I've no idea what software version was on the phone at the time. I used pit 512. The phone reboots and...

The failed actions are due to me not having an SD card correct? And at the bottom there it says it applied the CSC-code 'KOR' for Korea? I'm in Canada.
Now the phone goes into a loop, flashing the "Galaxy S GT-I9000 Samsung" logo on and off for ever (no animation or sound this time). I also tried flashing the latest from sammobile (under GT-I9000M). It's a single file and that put me in a boot loop as well.
Any advice greatly appreciated!!!

In windows 7, when I plug the tablet in USB, it recognizes as unknown device. Does anyone know how to solve?

Samsung Note-9 in Bootloop and Restart Loop Issue. Not able to restart

Dear Experts,
I need your help and Support to get a solution for the issue, I am currently facing.
What went Wrong
1. I bought this phone from one of my friend, which is FRP Locked and I was not able to remove the FRP Lock, though I tried and followed seeing many videos and posts online.
2. Then I used 4uKey for Android application to remove FRP.
3. I made my phone go into download mode, then used the above application to remove FRP. The application asked for the PDA and the required PDA info was not listed. As per the instructions I used the nearly matching PDA info and tried the further process.
4. Every time I tried with various PDA info, it started saying there is no matching data available.
5. Then I removed my phone from USB connection and as soon as I removed it from USB Connection, it started flashing with the following information.
#Reboot Recovery Cause is [BL:Recovery Mode Set by Key]#
E:Failed to mount/cache: Invalid argument
Support Single-SKU
Block-Based OTA
Supported API: 3
#MANUAL MODE v1.0.0#
E:Failed to mount /cache: Invalid argument
E:Failed to mount /cache: Invalid argument
E:Failed to mount /cache: Invalid argument
E:Failed to mount /cache: Invalid argument
E:Can't mount /cache/recover/last_locale
(After the above message, screen gets blank and again the same above message flashes and it happens repeatedly)
Solutions tried
1. After searching a lot on internet, i followed couple of possible solutions (all gone in vein)
2. I tried to restart by pressing the Power Button + Volume Down Button, it goes to the the position where it shows the Samsung Logo with Model Name and keep repeating the same, until I keep holding the button combination.
3. I tried to restart or to go the recover/reboot menu by pressing Boxy Button + Volume Up + Power Button, nothing happens.
4. I found somewhere, someone had posted that wait until the battery drains out and the phone gets powered off, then restart the phone it will work. That also did not work.
I could not attached the Image and Video for your reference. Not sure, how to attach. Please let me know, how to attach.
Kindly help me with the best option to resolve the issue. I have got Odin 3.13.1 installed. I have ReiBoot for Android available. None of these works, as the phone does not get into the Download mode or reboot mode.
