I have 9 days off from work so I have a bit of time to try out a couple of ROMs..
Any ideas where to start? something a little different perhaps.
Any nice tarted up ROMs out there?

AW: Roms to try while I'm on holiday.....?
Try Revolt, slim bean and helly bean as non-tw roms. On the touchwiz-side you could look at the new lsd leak..i think there will be some roms based on that new leak in the next few days...

hey,
i'm running android 4.2.1. unfortunately i forgot which rom... anyways. i feel like jelly bean is too laggy for me so i thought about going back to ics. my question is: how do i do that? should i just flash an ics rom via cwm or do i have to run a specific protocoll?
thanks!
AW: [Q] downgrade
You can see what ROM you have in Settings --> About.
I think it's like a common clear/clean ROM flash, where you have to clear chache, data, dalvik, ...?
And always hit the "Thanks" button ;DD

right, thanks, i'm running c-rom mix v5
you should backup your whole sdcard
as while downgrading to ics usually the internal sdcard gets formatted

But I just flash it via cwm?

Just take a look at your ICS Rom page
i agree that u should backp your internal sd card as there is a POSSIBILITY that your SD card gets formatted so as I advice dont take the risk and backup ALL your SD card

Before you revert back give hellybean a try first i have tried 90% of the jellybean ROMs for our device and it I'd in my opinion the quickest and smoothest jb experience

Good to know you got your phone running smoother now. I'm just wondering why you experienced lag in C-RoM Mix v5 which is also based on Hellybean sources.
I previously used this C-RoM Mix v5 and i found it very fast and smooth.
Anyway, enjoy with your new Rom.
There was a post/thread I found on here a few weeks ago about a ROM for the xt890 ,I think there were three versions of the ROM a regular aosp theme an experia theme and a dark theme if I'm correct.
Problem is no matter how much I search and look through the forums I can't find it and I'm wondering if anybody knows where the thread is. I remember it not being under the development section though.
All help appreciated.

Thanks for replying but that's not exactly what I'm after, it was a ROM I was looking for that came in three versions but thanks for pointing me go that theme any way. Its just the ROM was really stable and had two day battery use for me and now I can't find it.
Which one you where using? The linked Thread is the right one, but I abonded the tweaking and focused more into the theming stuff. I still got the Rom zips online, so I can give you the link as soon as I'm @ home.

I was using the aosp Themed ROM and it was really smooth and I planned to try out the xoeria themed ROM also.

There's the Xperia one, for the AOSP Rom I've to log in, but my password was generated with Last Pass and I can't remember it right now
But my PC knows it, I'll link it, when I'm @ home.

good roms
You should post these ROMs in the development section. They're stable and battery efficient.

Hey Guys
I have a big problem...im using a smartwatch called "im watch" and for full functionality it uses bluetooth tethering to get internet, but every nightly i tryed (using cm10.1 and cm10.2) didnt worked :/ i also tryed other roms and it never worked so i think its a general p880 cm problem or something like that. LG never implemented it in their roms....maybe this is the cause.
With a friends htc one it worked very well !
Maybe you can help me
Im using cm10.2 with iodak v08

In was really tempted do get that watch, but unfortunately I dont know know the solution to your problem maybe you should try the Q and A section

@DarkFantasy6: Do two things:
1.) Upload your /system/frameworks/framework-res.apk file.
2.) Don't update to a newer nightly before I send you the modified file and try it out. There might be some changes and you could easily end up with a bootloop.
Thank you adam
this is the file from nightly 20130913:
Ok, I've modified the BT tether interface from "bnep\\d" to "bt-pan" which is the standard since 4.2. I cannot test it, so here you are, it's attached. Just overwrite the original one, wipe cache + dalvik-cache. Don't forget to make a backup first.
Thank you very much
Your patch worked very well for me. I created a new nightly.zip an flashed it and the notification "hotspot or tether active" arrived and my smartwatch had internet. So i restored all my apps and restored my settings and now its broken again Oo i flashed the fixed nightly again, but it didnt helped... :/ it never worked again :/

Damn it was my mistake its working perfect now , i flashed iodak i think this was the error. With stock cm kernel its working perfect!!
Thank you very much
Do you know why it isnt working with iodsk?
Gesendet von meinem LG-P880 mit Tapatalk 2
It might not work on a newer nightly. There might be changes in frameworks. What does logcat tell about it on iodak?
Sent from my LG-P880
Im still on 13th nightly
I never took a logcat...will try it when im home

I modified a resource in the apk. I'm on mobile right now and don't remember the exact name. It could have been done with an Xposed module as well though.

Hi,
who can tell me which ICS is the best for GT-i9000?
It must have good battery and a very good camera.
I am on KitKat now , but KitKat is nothing for me , it just hangs all over a gain and after several hours , the battery is empty.
Thanks for any answer!
Use your own rom. If you admit that it is bad, you can use the Mackay ICS ROM by Kasper_h, he made a special ICS ROM done time ago.

Why is there no custom Rom for the Oneplus 3 T?
Gesendet von meinem SM-T800 mit Tapatalk
Propably waiting till Nougat comes out for 3T.
No point investing time and energy building 6.0.1, testing and bug fixing when 7.0+ is just around the corner. That my opinion

Hi,
Because you have to be a little bit patient? Out for European 28th of past month only.
Dunno for US, surely out before but not so long...
This phone just beginning his career...
I prefer waiting a bit instead trying someones who are fully bugged, apologies to all devs...

The 3 have get one week later the first kernel and custom roms.
We have a kernel & ROM.....but it makes no sense to start developing now, when Nougat is on its way On the 15th....
