I have 4.1.2 Russian JB (Y version) and my phone always shutdown. While in menu, during a call. My battery is fine and charged! I try to update to Z firmware and nothing changed. I try to back to GB and the phone still shut down.
Why?

Hi,
i have a x8 with 2.1.1 A06 (ithink), cyanogen mod and rooted. I just updated to 2.1.1 C00 with sonys pc companion tool, which worked perfectly. But after the update the system always restarts at the ericsson logo.
I already tried the reset to defaults by using the left and right hardware button on startup but it doesnt work.
Anyone has an idea, what i can do to start my x8?
Remove battery, wait 2 minutes, insert it, leave phone turned off. Reflash stock rom using SEUS.
thank you
Thank you,
it worked.
I have flashed the .284 fw and rooted my C5302. I am on locked bl. I cannot charge my phone keeping it switched off. Whenever I power off my phone and connect the charger, my phone boots up. Anybody else facing the same problem? Is there any solution?

Same here . In fact I've posted in other thread as well, no satisfactory solution.

When Flashing to .284 did you clear cache after clearing cache then flash .284 then after finishing the flashing the phone turn it on follow all the
instruction to setup your phone then you will get a big windows popup saying turn 1.Turn off Phone and at the buttom will be turn of phone select turn off phone and then this problem will not be there. I had this problem my self when i flashed .284 again on my phone with clearing cache
Warning
Clearing cache Will result in lose of data on the phone memory please taje a back up

Yes i have the solution.
The ftf you flashed did not have the chargemon needed to charge while switch off.
go to update service it will show you an update over .284
no surprises this is the same .284 but with chargemon.
update your phone and it will be fine.

You must be getting update notification on your phone. Just update it via PC Companion and u'll be able to charge while off.

Hi!
Yesterday i think i may have installed/flashed a kernel for 4.2.2 instead of 4.3 as my phone was running(if this makes any sense).
I am new to android and kernel, ROMs and rooting, so I don''t know exacly whawt I did...
Well, anyways... Now, if i charge my phone, it starts up to the Sony logo and shuts down, starts up to the Sony logo and shuts down, untill the battery is empty..
If I connect it to the pc, it connects, disconnects, connects disscontects and so on..
Any ideas of what I can do?
(sorry for bad english, but try to understand )

Try to connect your phone in fastboot mode.
Choose in flashtool fastboot
connect your phone while holding the volume up key
what happens?
Just flash proper kernel with proper fw via flashtool
Downgrade from 4.3 to 4.2.2
also will stuck in bootloop.
Flash 4.3 firmware exculed data partition, or flash 4.2.2 including data partition to start phone.

So here is the situation.
I want to get back to stock by repairing via SEUS, also to preparing for 4.3 update.
So i Relock bootloader and repair it via SEUS. But my phone only have 16% battery. I still turn it off and plug in SEUS. After more than 1 hours of downloading Firmware, it started to flash.
After starting for a bit, it shows an error and tell me that flashing failed. try charging the phone to 100% and then try again.
So I try connecting the phone to the charger. The LED shows red, but after like 1 minute, it turn to green and then the screen shows SONY. A few seconds later the phone turned off and LED shows red again. It just keep doing these proccesses again and again.
I try pulling the battery out and repair via SEUS but same error shows up.
Try to flash via Flashtool, show error 31: I dont remember, ill add this info later.
What should I do now ( I saved so long to be able to afford this phone!
Charge the battery 100 % full, which means 12 h our longer. Not that it's my idea, it has been said numerous times.
I learned never doing anything on the phone with less than 20 % charge, not even removing or adding an .apk or clearing dalvic, flashing a ROM no less than 80 %.

Yes. I learnt that. It shows the blue led when I press and hold the volume up button. I don't seem to see any signs that it is in fastboot mode. I can't even root it. Though i've been able to flash stock ROM.

I have an Xperia Z1 C6903.
After updating to kitkat, I was disgusted by the new battery life, so looked up how to flash my phone back to jellybean.
I followed a guide I cannot link to in my first ten posts:
xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/42-sony-xperia-z1-c6903
(Number 2 - flashing to 4.3).
I used the FTT linked there and the flashpro linked there.
Ran fine, here is the log: dropbox.com/s/13883t74e20b61k/flashtool_2014-04-14_06-25-39.log
After completion, I unplugged, booted phone, and now it is stuck in a reboot cycle. Seems to crash during the flare animation screen.
Please help! I've stopped the reboot cycle by running it in flash mode, then disconnecting it from the PC. As soon as I turn it on, the cycle begins again.

I'm not sure how to do this. I'm looking the update option in PCC, but this keeps asking me to turn the phone on, which I can't do. It'll only get to flash mode.

Thank you, this has made the phone functional again. Unfortunately lost messages and such, but not too bad...
I guess I'll run with kitkat a while to see if the battery issue has resolved. If it hasn't, is there a better flash file I can use, or a safer method of going back to jellybean?
