that is an issue that is for your service provider, not us. we dont have secret methods to get you from 1 bar to 4 bars. call your service provider and talk about it with them. it is almost a 99% guarantee that where you live is the reason for your ****ty service.

so what you need to do is call your service provider and tell them what is going on, they will probably disconnect you from their network, then connect you again and that could be the problem.
oK Can U Tell Me If MY g1 Is Up2date ?

two things - iphone is at&t, g1 is tmobile - even with an at&t sim its only gonna give you edge, not 3g
check the coverage on the tmobile site

then no you are not running the latest firmware, but if it is unrooted you will get the official OTA within a couple of days. or you can manually update it, here is the link to it

I think that Cricket just needs to give you a prl. There is a thread 3 or 4 pages back on this. "know a guy who knows a guy who can get help from a guy" seems to be the answer. Also, you probably won't have data.

Hey umm im positive the data plan is necccasary for picture messaging, ive got unlimited messaging and all that jazz, switched to g1 and no picture mesaging, you need a data plan.

I'm running cyanogenmod 6, and can't find my ESN number at all. I've searched everywhere and can't find anything that works for me.
Can someone please tell me how I can find my Hero's ESN number please?
