Hi,
I cannot upgrade my I9070 to JB 4.1.2. I get a "custom power management binary" message and installation fails. Does anyone have any idea about how to solve this issue?

Hi,
I already downloaded several 4.1.2 versions and tried to upgrade my I9070. But i got this failure message each time I will try to download the firmware again (I use sammobile.com). Thanks for feedback.:good:

Remove *.md5 extension.

You can flash JB rooted and unrooted. Doesn't matter.

only the (updateme OTA) is not working,just hang in there..
anyone know about this
I think there is a common issue with the updateme for that rom.

Just search the thread of ultimate ROM.
Because it was a common issue there is every mod available for download
And if u want the status bar mod just try darboc's mod for xxlsc

Hi.. I want to upgrade my i9070 from gingerbread 2.3.6 to jelly bean 4.1.2.
I found out that its already released out here in India but still i am not getting the update. It clearly says no update found and even with kies is same. Is it because of my phone csc or something like that? Can anybody help me out here?
Is it okay to mannualy update from oddin? If yes then which country frimware should i use? Because i am not sure where this phone was originally brought from..

download a ROM from the i9305 section to be sure
Have you tried the "toggle verification signature" to make sure its disabled??

Yeah I've been having the same problem when trying to flash anything Android 4.2.2. I changed to Team Win recovery and it fixed everything, never looked back.

I have searched the entire forum and also been googling since days for rooting my s advance indian ver. Not yet found a solution.
However i did find a post here in xda to root s advance but support for DDLK2 firmware was absent.
Pls note that people who recently bought the phone have DDLK2 installed.(india).
It would be of great help if anybody could take the trouble to entale a step by step procedure to root the same for a novice like me.

With JB, rooting is very simple(Shaaan's awesome root).
My Device : Rooted GT-I9070
ROM - 4.1.2 Stock I9070DDULP8
Kernel - CoCore-E-5.0
Recovery - TWRP
Well guys i knw support for gb rooting is withdrawn since d release of jb update. Bt i hv heard dat jb is too laggy.. currently m finding solace in my stock gb..
A root for it would hav completed my quest.
