I've modified and developed various scripts which on my phone have Zeubea's ROMs performing very smoothly. Of all the scripts and tweaks, I find this set in their current form, to be producing the best results.
[edit] Files have been updated 11 Feb 2013 [edit]. Please note that these scripts will not install if there is no room on the phone's internal storage.
Flash the appropriate file below through clockwork recovery.
CM10.1 ALPHA3 Android 4.2.1 for Legend
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?sjngc0gcjw7fk83
CM10 BETA1 based port Android 4.1.2 for Legend
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?4py0ohbpg3iowao
CM9.1 Beta 8 Android 4.0.4 for legend
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?n37zj8a7ca8tvyu
Sorry I didn't have time to do an undo file so... make sure you back-up before flashing, and as always I'm not responsible for any issues. Flashing will modify the build.prop and could cause boot loops (if something happens to go wrong). In which case, roll-back to your saved back-up.
If everything works, you will see performance increases in: Internet upload/download speeds; Scrolling and screen response; Application opening and closing; SD speed; and available RAM.
Hope it helps.....
I tried this one for CM9.1 BETA8 for Legend and when I install this one, my connection is lost. Wifi doesn't work and he does incredibly long with scanning my SD card when he is restarted. Am I doing something wrong?
I installed busybox --> gave root permissions
Then go to Clockwork recovery and select the zip file and install
I tried the version for CM10 BETA1 / Android 4.1.2, but the boot process stuck on the HTC-logo. Factoty reset did 'nt help.
A nandroid-backup brought the Legend back to live.

same here cm10 beta 1 stuck on htc screen after flash your tweaks.
the busybox where you link to was not working.
i install the free version from the market, open the app give root and make install.
reboot to recovery and flash your zip.
MiKa
Installed the new Tweak for ICS Beta 8.
First I installed it on my phone, which had already all my apps. So when I installed the script (with busybox) and rebooted from Clockwork, he gets stuck on ''loading apps''.
So I did a re-install (ROM+ apps). I removed with Titanium Backup all unnessesary apps, installed S2E and busybox (gave SU permission). Went to Clockwork and installed the script. Now he is stuck on boot screen.
I can confirm that it works on cm 9

Do you have S2E on your phone, and how many apps do you have on your phone, if I may ask.
I have around 60 apps on my phone (with S2E I have placed my applications and private apps on SD)
Only apps with widgets (ex, Missed it, Folder organiser and ADW launcher) I have installed on my phone data.

Hmm, maybe it's S2E which makes a conflict with the script. I'll try link2sd.
Well I tried lots of ROM-s for legend but definitly ics and jb are not good if u want performanse.I always return to b8 rom based on froyo or legend fuse or homics based on ginger because they offer speed and looks.I am just testing this because I like it but will go back to basics I mean my legend is used only for testing purposes

ICS works great on my Legend. Thought that with this script it would run even smoother, but even without it works great (no FC, all apps are working, and runs great without overclocking)
I can't install Link2SD though, everytime he wants to make the script for Ex2 (or other for that matter) he won't make them when I reboot my phone. Though S2E works fine. But then does this script not work.

1st make sure you delete the one in data/app/com.vending-1.apk because it will prevent the themed app's changes.
Place Vending.apk on the root of your sdcard then use command prompt to adb push to your system/app/Vending.apk.
Alternatively, you can put the Vending.apk in a flashable zip folder compatable with your version of clockworkmod.

I like the blue with red stars over black, its awesome!...Do you happen to know if this will work over Mammons ROM, as is, w/o having to adjust or modify? TIA!
i just tried installing this on mammons rom and no luck i did everything you said to do and even tried putting it right into system/app through root explorer for some reason mammons rom does not want to take these market themes
I guess I'll have to flash Mammons rom and see what I can Find
Shouldn't have to modify anything.
The instructions above should do it.
It's what I did to get it running on Viper
Downloading Mammons now to test.
However I posted an additional procedure to possibly fix the issue, refer back to the op.

I'm on Viper 3.0.3 and whenever I flash any of the modded ones, my market doesn't show up in my app drawer, but Vending.apk shows up in system/app. Tried installing it from there but it shows an error.
When I flash the old market, it shows up fine. Soon as I flash one of the themed ones, it just goes MIA lol.
EDIT: Tried everything I can think of.
Even opened the zip, renamed it to "com.android.vending_2.2.6" because thats the name of the APK that ViperROM installs, re-zipped it, flashed it, and it still just doesn't show the Market in the app drawer. Can't think of anything else to do :\
Ok well I had it going for a while then it just started fc on me, idk ill mess around some more tommorow.
Opening zips can mess' em up sometimes. Try doing it again.
And if your on the Apocalypse rom.....I don't know that it will work on it yet. Because of the modded clockwork, I'll check into it.

Thats entirely incorrect.... Yes his ROM will work with CWM3 mod but is not required! Regular zip files will work. Mammons ROM does not require ext4 or cwm3, I have been installing all my normal zip files with his ROM with ext4 and cwm2.5.1.2. The only ones I have not got to work are some of the Market Themes (I found a blue market theme posted in Mammons thread that worked fine). I tried the black theme on this thread and some others and they install the Vending.apk in the proper folder, but does not show up in the app drawer.
Attached a blue theme market that worked for me. Deleted all files vending.apk files as stated in this post then flashed.

Are you installing the zip from sd card through cwm or using the update.zip method? I use the choose zip from sd card then install zip from sd card. I've flashed them back & forth w/o any problems. I'm currently using the black & red theme. Been using it for a while now, in fact, I just updated & installed some apps this morning. So....I don't know why it works for me & not for you. Any one on Viper 4.0.1 able to get these working besides me? I've downloaded Mammons rom but haven't had time to flash it to test these apps yet. I will find our tomorrow.

Thx man
we need get together work as a team to make our GB dream come true
You see... I'm up in the air about releasing a GB rom... right now at this point it will only cause a LOT of problems for me.
In order to get GB to work you must install either baseband only or the GB kdz. The baseband method obviously a LOT of people are having issues with, this creates way too many questions and troubleshooting, more than I would be able to handle in a timely manner at this point.
The kdz method means you have to flash the kdz file which creates more questions, then you have to re-root, reinstall CWM THEN flash a custom rom. There is no way to put baseband in a rom.
This just seems like it would be way too much to deal with unless someone reliable wants to be my Q&A monkey. I am thinking I would much rather wait till more people get on the GB baseband then release GB. This is not set in stone though, who knows I might change my mind and throw together a GB rom tomorrow. I don't even know what I'm going to do.
Plus if CM9 is right around the corner... all that work would be pretty much for nothing because it would get ditched for a ICS/CM9 rom. For me right now I think best bet is to tweak the crap out of my kernel and rom.
Ugh, I'm kind of stuck on making a decision... hell I haven't even made a v10k rom yet...
yes man we working best we can for these roms
but ****ty At&t doesn't even care for their product's
any way we need another 10k one u need to start working on that try one of your ported kernel but be careful i almost brick mine when try to do new experiment Lol

This rom from SHARP is amazingly quite stable and fast. I have been using this rom for last 4-5 days & never faced restart except once. And I am getting better battery backup since i have rooted it n reduced cpu clock via set cpu. Do u have any more suggestions...so that i can get maximum out of this ROM. but really thanks to the person who uloaded this rom and helped us to enjoy this amazing Fb variant. And also thanks to TJ sir for providing recovery which enabled me to root this ROM.
Sadly I'm not having the same experience as you. There have been constant phone freeze, random loss of contact information and occasional self restarts since the last weekend.
Can you explain how exactly you went about updating it?

Sorry bro i really cant remember what steps i followed to install this rom but i think i reseted my handset cleared cache, cleared dalvik cache and restored factory settings. Then i just executed "download nb0 from sd card". But i think stock recovery of MI 410 does not help installing this rom. I used "napstar touch recovery" to install this rom. Which has option to boot into system recovery. But don't forget to backup the original image folder of stock MI410 rom before going for this Rom. Coz this step helps a lot, if anything goes wrong. If u have already installed this rom just factory reset it clear all caches.
Good Luck... We have so many experts on this forum some one will definitely help u.

Actually I made it for myself ..so it was made to remove both bloatwares n gapps ....since I had the latest gapps link. If u update gapps from market again it makes one more app in data section so only use latest gapps zip . I had plan to create a new one which is useful to remove unnecessary apps n other files from all available roms ...sharp,wellcom,Spice, etc. Its not a big deal ...the script actually mounts the system partion n deletes apps ...but the hard part is finding names of apps you want to remove and flash it again and again to see it wont mess up the rom.
Now ppl r looking at ics n am wondering should I spend time on this .. now am learning about compiling kernels n all

Just one thing i forgot to mention... live wallpapers are not supported so to maximize battery.

does this rom has updated graphic drivers ....

No updated driver as far as i can see, feel free to benchmark yr own X6 though.
Somehow this Rom fixed my crazy screen axis reversal issue i was having on this X6 so im happy.
Im still to try tonight on my other X6 the Apanda101 stock rom and Huawei's U9000 V2.610 Rom, which was the last official Rom they made for our unit.
cheers
Is it possible to get original thread for this ROM

The Apanda 101 Stock 2.3.5 Rom installed fine, pitty the screen was unresponsive!? Hrmm.. i thought they were internally the same, maybe it has different hardware?.
Didnt get round to installing the last official Huawei Rom, will give it a go later tonight.
Anyone want the Apanda 101 Rom to try for themselves just ask, it was a ***** to source and then extract from the .msi

you can bro ..... flash it through CWM and enjoy.
Some inbuilt apps like night time, uber music, I love them. Everything works fine. Even games runs very smothly
In an all its good ROM like RC2 with some optimized functionality
do you need patched boot.img ?
What is patched in boot.img? Android commander is just like a frontend for adb you just need debugging mode on in your device as afaik. Then it works with all the roms.

He says there are 2 more Dragon versions to come, the one im looking out for is Dragon-S, based on Sharp Rom.
this rom is fast! but after market has updated to play it can't be opened. FC every time. Tried rebooting the phone but that doesn't help. And gps doesn't work for me but it doesn't on the original maclite either. And even if I change language to english some apps are still in russian, like TB.

though adb works fine, you wont be able to replace system files THROUGH ADB PUSH with the stock rom probably because of the kernel ....

Ok but why would kernel worry about system files. Afaik there r no references to system files in the kernel apart from a few loadable modules.
Hey u r on Arch. Be pretty difficult to manage yet, a very geeky experience indeed. Hardcore.

you mean this rom does not have axis inversion issue? was that a kernal issue?
Trying this ROM, need a stable one. Is there any wifi issues? It took a while to connect. Thanks for sharing.

Ahh still loaded with different language. That's a deal breaker. Will there be an update to fix the english?

I mean.. one of my WellcoM A99 X6 had the crazy screen reverse axis issue and ??somehow?? this rom made the issue go away. No Rom's have the issue my phone has the issue. Its not the first WellcoM A99 X6 that ive had that has the issue either, I previously purchased another WellcoM A99 X6 which had the issue and i returned it to Thailand within the warranty period for a replacement. Unfortunately and more bizarrely this particular X6 acquired the issue after the warranty had expired so i had to live with it.
EVERY other Rom ive tried on this X6 eventually over a space of a week from fresh install resulted in me not being able to use the phone. Simply unlocking the phone from sleep was a nightmare it wasn't letting me drag the unlock all the way to the right, and wanted to do the opposite which is put the phone on silent.

geezus its a RUSSIAN Rom! hense the U9000RU, there will be no "fix" for the English. It has English as Androids main language to choose from when first booting and configuring android. Some apps like SETCPU are only in Russian.. these apps in their full form are readily available to replace from the interwebz

shouldn't be posting a up a ROM if you didn't even test yourself...what if you brick someone's device?
was just deciding to look around my old device's forum today and found this, thought it was interesting, link doesn't work, and now it looks like i won't be trying this. please do your best to make it actually boot on your update...DO TESTING BEFORE RELEASING!!!

All roms on XDA have the risk of bricking your phone, thats why devs post them here so it can be tested. Now that he knows it doesn't boot he will try to fix it. Don't post pointless posts if it doesn't boot just say it doesn't.

developers aren't supposed to be pushing out untested work, especially if it doesn't even boot. you should check the other forums if you think Saranhai's posting "pointless posts". sure, they're not responsible if your device bricks and that is a possibility, they don't push out ROMs so "it can be tested". no, when they push out ROMs, users expected it to already have been thoroughly tested. they post our work on XDA because they want to share our work. that's what XDA is about, sharing, not "oh i'm just going to push some junk out without testing it myself and hope it boots".
it's common sense really.
I agree.

You won't know how much bullsh't of ROMs are posted in forums for old devices. For example some pre-pre-alpha CM10 versions (i have a lot more examples) which also didn't even boot. The "Devs" just want to grab the f'cking thanks from the people (for whatever reason). The people are glad that somebody care about their device but in the reality they make one build of their Rom, and dont support them anymore cuz they are no devs and didn't even have the device. And nobody care's about whether it's booting or not.
I think the creator of this ROM has ambitions to solve the bugs and he has the device to test it. But if he has no time than he has no time so what should we do? Do you think 'bashing' him makes his work booting?! Did u even know that if ROM developement threads have no links to the ROM there's a risk to get closed?
And finally:
Its almost impossible to brick your phone because of a ROM, to do that you have to be a very very very silly person, so everybody calm down and let him solve the bugs.
