Stock ROM's dont have problems as they are released only after lots and lots of test. Most probably there is no problem with the Stock ROM.

What ROM? Try to flash your kernel from another ROM.
Sorry that I up this thread, but I can say I have the exact same problem but with Gingerbread 2.3.4.
My phone is only rooted. No mods or so, a few apps that need root access, that's all. But it had this issue from the beginning, even without root or any non-stock app.
It seems like when I either turn on Wifi or Bluetooth and turn it off and on again in a very short time, it can't be used anymore until I reboot the phone. Waiting more than 10 seconds before turning Wifi/bluetooth on after it was set off doesn't give this issue. Then it only happens one or two times in a week.
When I have my new phone completely in shape I'll start some testing with the Galaxy Mini to see how to get rid of this issue.
Happens the same here. And this problem sucks!
hey guys,
i just had a couple of questions regarding the upgrade of S advance to jellybean via odin..I'll appreciate any help that i can get..
1. is there any chance that i might brick the phone during the process?
2. if i do manage to flash jb successfully on my device, do i void my warranty?
3. i have read somewhere that once jb is installed,i might face some network problems and problems in video playback. are these common?
thanks in advance guys..
Rushil
1. Very small... but yes (if you install wrong firmware, have the wrong device (i9070p), disconnect during installation)
2. No, it does not increase the binary counter.
3. No
Thanks.. Just one more thing... Do i have to reset my phone to factory settings before or after the update, if at all?

It's recomended but you can skip and do that if something goes wrong.
Running jellybean now flashing process went smoothly. . Hopefully no problems occur later ...fingers crossed
Thanks a lot guys, for all the help..

Did you try a hard reboot right after install?

There are 3 different 8.9's. 7300, 7310, and 7320.
There are several CM roms. 9, 10, 10.1, 10.2.
What recovery are you using?
7300
10
And clockwork

Try flashing a different rom. Either C-o-m's cm10.1 or any of addem123's stable roms.
Do a full wipe, including a factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, format system partition.
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest flashing a stock rom with odin.
Will try that in the morning
Thanks for the help so far

Also, you should be using either the latest cwm from c-o-m's cm10.1 thread , or twrp from the a1 kernel thread.

Im not sure if that's normal on stock Roms, I'm using cm11 and it does that frequently when I boot up. In my case I think its link2sd optimizing the apps
