You can only flash this if:
-You have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi (also know as GT-P7510 or p4wifi)
-Stock version: you run a ICS stock rom (so not an AOSP/AOKP/CM-based ROM) - an stock-based ROM such as Infamous is also fine!
I have no plans to port this to other ROMs/devices, as I want to test everything myself and I only own an P7510 running Infamous v2.2. Feel free to port yourself, source can be found through the link given above.

Hi,
Thanks for this!
Does this by any chance gets rid of YouTube HD lag/stutter?

There are some tweaks in Infamous Tab 2.2 to help with video streaming. Perhaps switch to that ROM if you're not using it now and flash this kernel over top of it to give that combination a try?

At least I am on Infamous, so I can't say whether the fact that YouTube HD works fine is due to infamous or due to the kernel :highfive:
I am on Infamous two too with mackay kernel.
Runs good, no problems
Hmm. for real? I want to be at ICS but because of Youtube, I am downgraded to honeycomb. So I don't know what has been changed on Infamous, but I might give it a try! Hope it actually makes Youtube HD smooth, because everyone tests with different videos, some people always say that they don't have Youtube HD lag, but some people test with a video that they always had lag, and other custom roms have the same problem so they say they always have youtube hd problem.
Anyway, I'll test both Infamous and this kernel in the weekend.
Again, thanks both of you guys!

I just have to say I reverted to 2.2 from IOSP testing to run this kernel. It is a thing of beauty!! Really well done K.

Sure thanks for that!
Here is a video of a music concert that I always use to test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSb5ZSnn2qs
I also posted this for others to test on a Q&A section for Galaxy Tab YouTube Lab thread, and while a lot of people had the same problem and had the lag and stutter problem, it was very weird that some people did not have any issue. So I'm curious what you will say.
Thanks!

Its hit or miss with me...most of the time things are fine but sometimes I have a stutter or two. It has been reported on other stock ICS ROM threads that this was a miss on Samsung's part, we can only do so much to help the problem. There are tweaks in Infamous 2.2 as I mentioned, but they most likely won't compensate for a larger issue.

Cool , so you have started supporting another of my devices eh. But I have the P7500 3G model , any chance you will make a version for that ?
Also how do you control GPU OC, which app do we need.

You can compile it yourself, just get my code from github and compile it with an appropriate defconfig.
I only compile for devices I own or have direct access to, because I only want to upload things to xda I have personally tested...that is my philosophy
GPU OC is one fixed setting, nothing can be changed.

How much is the GPU stock clock and OC clock.
I will try to compile for P7500 next month then ...
BTW can I flash the P7510 version for testing atleast , maybe I would lose connectivity ?
I read that P7500 users could flash P7510 ROMs but modem would be unavailable

So the base is A1 Kernel. And AAccount oc'ed his kernel up to 400MHz. It hink its the same in this kernel. Stock is 333 or 300MHz. You can check it yourself, but i dont know the folders to look for right now.
OC/UV is all taken 1:1 from AAccount.
Look at this commit:
https://github.com/kasperhettinga/p4wifi_stock/commit/29e8db7350bb605d7808f82dabe1e3f7912a1521
and then this file:
arch/arm/mach-tegra/tegra2_clocks.c
line 2519/2681 show the increase in GPU clock from 300 to 400MHz

Core2Management:
Save your battery and disable the second core of your android device when you dont need it!
!- This app is only for dual core devices made by Samsung -!
This app should work on most android dual core devices from Samsung (maybe also on others but these are untested!). Please report on which devices the app works and on which it doesnt. You have to be rooted! Every time you reboot you need to redisable second core! If the second core starts again at some time use another governor. Not working with hotplug!
Tested devices:
* Galaxy S2 I9100
* Galaxy S2 I9100G
* Galaxy S3
* Galaxy S1
* Galaxy R I9103
* Galaxy Nexus
The app is working with stock cm10 kernel, too!

This kernel is based on Semaphore Kernel by stratosk with a few changes I felt to be missing in semaphore.
This kernel combines the speed and stability of semaphore along with few additions for the best combination.
It is compatible with all JB 4.3 ROMs based on official CM10.2 layout.
Kernel versions 2.9.0 and lower are compatible with JB 4.2.x.
Differences with Semaphore
Entropy tweaks
Patched for 720p usage
Kernel Samepage Merging (KSM) enabled
ZRAM enabled as module (usable via init.d script, attached below)
SWAP enabled
FRANDOM module included
Some Kernel Debug related stuff disabled
Wheatley Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Intellidemand Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Lulzactive Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Lazy Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Lagfree Governor added (select via Setting->Performance-> CPU)
Load_freq(4*HZ+61) to avoid Loadavg Moire
A bit more RAM ( 1MB more )
Read Ahead increased to 1024kB max
Using Neon instead of SoftVFP
Ondemand , Conservative , smartassv2 , lulzactive , lazy and interactive tweaked
ROW , SIO , SIOplus, Deadline , BFQ and CFQ Scheduler tweaked
Normal OC Steps ( upto 1400MHz )
XZ Compression for Kernel and initramfs
Optimized AES and SHA1 routines
CPU Unaligned Access
TUN enabled by default
Block and ROW improvements
BFQ IO Scheduler
FIFO IO Scheduler
ZEN IO Scheduler
VR IO Scheduler
SIOplus IO Scheduler
EXT4 patches
Other optimizations

Enjoy the Kernel and let me know what you guys think!
Running very smooth without any issue
Hiho, want to try it, is it working on the 8010, too?
Gesendet von meinem GT-N7105 mit Tapatalk 2
Great work.
Is it possible to enable the option to mount the device as external storage in USB ( USB mass storage mode ) rather than as MTP mode ?
Thanks
Awesome im your fan on the s3 rom

It's good to have you here, we need kernel developers, thanks.
The only problem I have with Zeus Kernel is that it's ejecting my extFAT formatted micro SD card.

Flashed ok on my N8010.No problems so far
Good to see you here.
Great work, glad to c the 8013 support. Thanks!
Tapped from an annihilated N10.1
What about - hyper - govermor ?
I have it in my sgs 2 and is working the best for me.
Low states and smooth.
Bro I flash it on N8010 and the kernel is too smooth and great but I have a question that when I benchmark my device i score only 3667 without any power saving mode

Benchmarks mean 0 hahhah.... I like to see the actual feel and performance of the device with the kernel
got this on my 8013 and although it is fast and smooth, i lose wifi. it acts like it is connected, but no traffic will go in or out. if I restore to stock kernel, my internet traffic will be fine.
anything i can do to help find why this is happening? (I am on Hyperdrive ROM - also using the kernel installer on that ROM causes this issue)
everything was installed on a clean wipe
Which tool you recomend to oc kernel?
Sent from my GT-N8013 using xda premium
Will I able to use apps2sd script after flasing this kernel?
UPDATE 05/01/2016
Ok another update, havent managed to fix usb forced charge or otg yet but am looking at those, this build has got some interesting features though
Code:
Sound Control Mod to improve sound quality
Init.d Support
ZRAM Enabled, use one of te many apps in play store to activate it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MINOR UPDATE 04/01/2016
Only a small bugfix release, trying to fix usb force charge and fix a broken wifi. new build is up now at links below
TW Kernel
CM Kernel
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 03/01/2016
Yet another Update folks, this one is small and only adds a couple of things
Code:
Add USB Forced Fast Charging support (google for info)
Add a Build that works on Cyanogenmod also
for each version released (from 1.3) their will be 2 seperate zip files, one will have TW in the name and one will have CM
the TW Version WILL ONLY work on touchwiz roms
and the CM version will work on Cyanogenmod based roms
have tested on CM 12.1 and it works and seems to fix a few bugs aswell apprently
nice short one for today
any questions or requests are welcome and feel free to let others know about these kernels
zips are in the download section or available here :
TW 1.3 Build:
CM 1.3 Build:
--------------------
UPDATE 02/01/2016
New update Released today folks.
new features added
Code:
600mhz GPU Overclock
New I/O Schedulers added
New CPU Governors added
Added a few Different Hotplug drivers to hopefully aid Battery life
Entire kernel is built using the Hyper-Linaro 5.1.1 Toolchain with -O3 and graphite enabled for extra performance and general smoothness
Bit More coding has been worked on for OTG support but this is not working yet if anyone has any ideas or can help with OTG support please contact me as i am a bit stumped on this at moment
download zip file in the downloads tab or from :
currently 1.8ghz seems to be the highest Overclock possible on the cpu as anything more than that fails to boot. still looking into it
any questions or suggestions are welcome
donations are much appreciated also
--------------------------------------------------------
Hello All, and welcome to 2016
got a nice new update for the snapdragon variants of the S5 Mini (g800h/ds/hq etc) and this kernel is as far as im aware quite unique across any device using the msm822x cpu. so you are all going to be part of a very special group for trying this one, that group is going to be the serious overclock group, this kernel overclocks not to 1.6ghz, not to 1.7 ghz but all the way to 1.8 ghz currently, and unless someone can let me know otherwise this is the fastest speed i have seen from a msm8226/8 based device. even the 2nd generation moto g only has a 1.6ghz clock.
changelog overall for this kernel from stock is :
Code:
Boosted Notification LED Brightness as default is quite dim apprently
Added UKSM(Ultra-Kernel Samepage merging) for performance and memory management
added interactive cpu governor
Enabled Fading LED Notification Light
Removed pretty much all debugging junk from kernel as its not needed
switched to linaro 4.9.4 compile with cortex a7 optimization
[strong]1.8Ghz CPU Overclock[strong]
550mhz GPU Overclock
100mhz Base GPU Clock (battery saving FTW)
zzmoove CPU governor
Few different I/O governors including FIOPS and BFQ
SU supported and have disabled samsungs stupid rooting protection
thanks again to sasukesama for testing this one, and again risking his device for it.
check the downloads tab for the files, i have created an update zip aswell as the standard img file and replacement wlan.ko for those who want to do them manually, i HAVE NOT created an odin file for this.
please remember to backup before flashing and i can not promise it will work on your device due to the silicon lottery when it comes to cpus etc.
any questions please feel free to ask
THIS WILL WORK ON TOUCHWIZ 5.1.1 ONLY AT THE MOMENT

Its touchwiz only currently. Suppose ill have to make a version for cm at some point(i actually prefer stock over any form of cm. Cm is too bloated imo now

DISCLAIMER
I will not be held responsible for anything that happens to your device after flashing this kernel. If you don't know how to bring your dead device back to life please don't make any modifications and stay with stock MIUI. This is only meant for advanced users.
Zetsubou(aka Despair) kernel is meant to be simple with only cool features added on top of CAF/CM kernel. Kernel source will always be kept in sync with new caf(LA.BR.1.3.6_rbx.xx) and mainstream linux(3.10.y) updates. It will never include features like Overclock, Underclock, Undervolt, Quick charge and other potentially dangerous/unstable stuffs. Okay enough of the intro let's move on to the features
Features:
*linux version 3.10.105
*compiled with my gcc 6.3.1 toolchain using crosstool-ng (source: https://github.com/AshishM94/crosstool-ng)
*based on caf branch LA.BR.1.3.6_rbx.xx(rb1.13 as of now)
*updated prima drivers(LA.BR.1.3.6_rb1.12)
*adreno boost
*adreno idler
*HID usb keyboard/mouse support
*sound control
*governors: interactive, ondemand, conservative, performance, bioshock, impulse, chill, relaxed and despair
*custom hotplug: lazyplug
*I/O schedulers: sio, deadline, noop, bfq, cfq, fiops, fifo, sioplus, tripndroid, vr and zen
*zram, zsmalloc backport from linux 3.15
*ksm support
*wakelock toggles support
*supported filesystems: cifs, exfat, ntfs, msdos-fs, nfs
*KCAL advanced color control
*DriveDroid support
*advanced TCP congestion algorithms
*disabled crc check
*selinux updates from kernel common 3.10
*reduced load average
*frandom support
*fsync on/off support
*xpad driver updated from kernel common 3.10
*security patches from kernel common 3.10
check my source for other features
Use EX KERNEL MANAGER to control all features
Installation:
*Download the zip file and save it into the root directory of internal/external storage
*Reboot to recovery mode and flash the zip file
*Reboot device
It's recommended to flash ZETSUBOU only on top of stock kernel

FAQs:
*How to use USB keyboard/mouse feature?
You will need this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=remote.hid.keyboard.client
This app is from pelya. He is also the original developer of the patch. Please give the app a rating of 5, some fools have rated the app low cause their devices don't have a kernel with the patch.
*What is DriveDroid??
All info on DriveDroid http://softwarebakery.com/projects/drivedroid
*How to flash/use the goodix build?
-Flash ROM
-Flash Gapps(optional)

Mere hisaab se awesome hoga, ki aaj se aap jis bhi device k liye kernel develop karo, sabka name berserk rakho ... Like ROM's names for all devices are same - they just have device codenames as prefix. So make the older one as berserk - wt88047, and this one as berserk - kenzo. Whatsay?
I see [and have always thought], that your kernel has the potential to [BREAK ALL LIMITS !!!]
.
[P.S - Translation - Don't you think this one should also be berserk - start a uniformly named kernel for as many devices as you can develop for in the future.]
