AW: [Q] [HELP] Home button isn't working
I have the Problem just for a short time after booting. But at me also the menu- and the backbutton aren't working. I wait a minute and lock the screen. After unlocking it works for. Maybe for you too
Edit: i have farias xxama1 v5.1

....ok now i try to explain it again your first rom was Stock Deodexed Zipaligned I8190XXAMA2 4.1.2 - V2 "XXAMA2" and you wanted to change firmware to [ROMS][JZ054K.I8190.XXAMA1][4.1.2-Jelly-bean] [26.01.2013] V5.1 "XXAMA1" .... right ? so you have to flash the new rom twice ...first flash the new rom with odin as pda ... after the phone has performed a reboot ... flash the new rom with odin as CSC again ...... now firmware + baseband should complete changed to XXAMA1 and it should work without problems.......... if you have cwm recovery on your phone it ask you after flashing something like this "want to flash unsecured package?" answer with "yes" ...... when you done this all .... now open phone app "dialer" type *#1234# and check if all 3 lines changed to XXAMA1 ......

Repartition is supposedly going to wipe all data on your phone, but it's also a death button that makes you ODIN freeze and making your phone not boot up

It repartitions your filesystem. Lets say you installed CM which uses ext4, then it will re-partition it back to RFS (stock default).
so when you using stock rom you haven't to select re partition but when using custom rom with different system layout and wanna go back to stock rom you should select re-partition
Edit: guide here

[Q] Note stays on splash screen after installing ParanoidAndroid

Hi,
So I've recently tried to root my Note and put it on PA0.5 ROM and it gets stuck on splash screen. Dr.Ketan told me to use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1763151 and I've followed it completely. But as soon as I get to install via recovery it gets stuck. I've read threads like this but most people loose recovery and get stuck but mines stuck w/ recovery. So please someone help me!
Thanks
Weeo
P.s. As soon as I get this fixed I can start making my LGUI3.0 ROM

In what situation you are in now ? Are you trying to flash ICS stock rom now ? If it so I would recommend to stop it and flash GB Rom using PC Odin.
I was on stock ICS originally, followed that guide to get on GB+ROOT. Flashed PA in recovery and it doesnt fail, it 'installs' and then i reboot and it doesmt work.. Also o did wipe everything
Back on stocl ICS

Don't worry, if you don't know what it is then you didn't repartition. Do you know what version of cwm recovery you have? Press and hold power, home and volume up till it reboots into cwm.

Yes... I did it..
N nothing brick issues..
ICS rom is safe..
which makes the brick is the stock ICS kernel...
So do not do the wipe when you're still using the stock kernel..
Flash Abyss kernel first..
N then do the wipe using abyss kernel..
