Hello mighty devs of SGA!
I wish to say how much I appreciate your awesome work, and yet, I have to ask:
Is there a way to port these roms (Paranoid Android, AOKP) to our great device? I know you're working hard on the CM, but I just wanted to ask.
Thanks for all your hard work!

I think they must make CM10 first, then those other ones. CM10 is a base, I think.

Probably not yet. This is not flagship, not best 2013 device, young device. Maybe CM10.1 will be availible when FXP buy XSP. Or when developer show himself to community.
Why not?
It's a best possible device of the year so far. Fits the fastest processor, good amount of ram and everything else. Somebody should start working on custom ROM for this device.

Or maybe DoomLord will start to build own CM... He was FXP team member. So we need DoomLord words to prove what is true.

is there no way to port a older 4.1.2 based PACman to this device? Ui and settings from PACman are great, but Sony Battery economy is often better.
Hi guys! Im curious why our monster device dont have too much ported roms though it is possible? is it because there is only few users? I want to learn how to port roms for our device. Im reading a tutorial here in XDA and have a porter friend from my past device. I asked him to port roms for our device like slimbean, carbonrom, Pac etc. Hope this device gets more attention from the rom makers

I will help you as much as i can...will share links which i have read to port MIUI V5 for our device...
And the reason that our device does not has many roms is that it was not released globally like the S3 or S4...
It is actually local only to Korea...and still many have managed to get it...
And its good if we all work together as a team ... we sure will have many roms for our device too....:good:

We need Base CM10 or CM10.1 depending on what we will port. Do we have "Clean" CM10 or CM10.1 as base?

Yup, even i am referring to the same guide...
Now as far as i know we do have a clean CM10 as base for SHV-E120L & SHV-E120S both...but we dont have a pure clean CM10.1 for either of the devices...
But we do have Mokee OS 4.2.2 for both of the above mentioned devices...and i even tried to take CM10.1 from Cyanogen mods website and take Mokee OS as base to port the latest to CM10.1 and have a running CM10.1 but i never succedded...
And i was also wondering if you know what is the difference between these 2 devices...
Thanks
Thats what i dont know. Im just a new user of this device. If we have clean CM10 then we can port 4.1.2 roms. but not 4.2.2. It's OK there are lot of nice 4.1.2 roms out there Can u give me the link of the clean CM10 for SHV e120L?

Yeas there is Mokee 4.2.2 and ive tried it. Its base on CM10.1. We must first know what did the porter used as a base to port Mokee 4.2.2.

OK, check these links
This link contains pure CM10 compiled by Socim:
http://d-h.st/users/Space/?fld_id=0#files
And this link contains a spread sheet which mentions most of the roms that exist for our devices...
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AosAjYg4w51XdHkxNlRzWFk4UllTTHFNd1JpLW9TWHc&pli=1#gid=19
Hope this helps...:good:
Ok i will try using Socim's CM10 as base.

Well, after some initial problems I got omnirom to boot!
Wifi, BT, Data, GPS don't work
Internal nor external storage doesnt work either...
It ain't pretty thus far. Also feature wise this rom is naked.
I cherry picked the multiwindow. It's buggy but it works.
Once I get some progress and Omni develops more features and stability I will post a build. For now it's not worth the hassle :]

Hi all!
I'm currently using the CyanogenMod 11.0 on my Samsung S3 mini and I'm happy about it :cyclops:
But, I'm also curious about the other MODs and I'm trying to find out what the differences are between the most popular ones.
And because I don't want to flash my phone a zillion times, it would be nice to compare the features of the MODs before installing one of them.
Would someone be so kind to make an overview of differences between these MODs:
CyanogenMod
Android Open Kang Project
PAC Android
Chameleon OS
SlimROM
Carbon
Thank you in advance !!
Greetings

Cyanogenmod = daily usable for everyone, only few settings for customizing
AOKP = highly customizable, you can change almost everything (in my opinion just for pro´s)
PAC = also very customizable but more userfriendly with some cool features, i realy like it. Latest release is having trouble with heavy flickering, so don´t use until it´s solved.
ChamOS = Tested it, too much bugs. I guess it´s abadoned.
SlimRom = CM in black
Carbon = daily usable, stable, with more customization setting like CM. I´m fan off it.

I have found already some links. Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2605163
Just like you, i use CM11. I've always been wondering about Carbon though. People keep talking about it all the time. I'm thinking of trying it.

I'm waiting for the next CM11 release to see if ART is fixed. If not, i'll switch to Carbon and give it a try. Thanks for the advice though :]
Could someone educate me on what it takes to get CM 12.1 on to the S2?
I understand that you have to root, install TWRP, and flash the ROM but who actually puts together CM 12.1 rom together and makes it compatible for the S2? Is it the official CM team or a developer on this forum who takes the time and energy to put it all together?
Thank you for your help in educating me......
There is no Cyanogen for our tablet for the moment
You can check here : http://download.cyanogenmod.org/
So it is the CM Team that takes the time, energy, and resources to put it together for the S2?
I will keep an eye on the CM website and hope they put something together soon. I wish I had someway to contribute but my skill set is very limited.
Thanks

No.. it takes someone with enough knowledge to build it for our hardware. I've never done it, but I'm attempting. Learning as I go... emphasis on attempting.
Okay - That makes sense.... I will help test if you get to that point.
Would be nice with cm12 but probably with lots of drawbacks. Samsung won't release source code of drivers and could be problematic with exynos nor will fingerprintscanner work.

Good to hear someone is working on it. ?
Sent from my not-so-stock SM-T810
CM is always buggy and lots of features wont work or plain buggy. Bloat is very minimal and works quite smoothly stock. Dont blame you if you like the "fun" of constantly flashing roms and waitkng for bug fixes.

Hey there. As a dev myself I will explain you the difference between official CM builds (build = the ROM) and unofficial builds. Official builds are made by the pros. The guys that are in the CyanogenMod group. They know how things work and patch them due their high knowledge. They will try to update the ROM regularly and fix it as well as they can. Then there are the unofficial builds from people like me. It depends what your skills are and with what board you are working (Exynos is a pain in the ass). Not to forget what version of android your device is currently running. Unofficial builds can be buggy and could take some time to get fixed. However devs will listen to the feedback of the community too.
