Hi
I was running a custom rom on my note but I want to be able to backup to my pc using Kies and also be able to sync music with mediamonkey.
So I have revert to stock firmware 4.0.4 which is not the jellybean that I am used to.
Is there a way to use an official jellybean rom like the one on sammobile and then change the csc to my country?
OR is there a way to get custom roms to play nicely with the pc and backing up and syncing of music?
as long as you are on a TouchWiz ROM, everything should be okay with Kies
kies doesnt play nice with custom roms (tw). neither does mediamonkey.
no you cant change csc to your country one in official leak jb because it has it's predefined csc

1st u must be safe kernel to do the trick when u *#272*imei number#
u'll enter the CSC for u to change the country csc.
once u used this method all ur data will be gone ！
if don't have ur country csc just ask someone to upload it for u n paste it in the system n u'll see
ur country but this only shows ur csc in kies but u still won't get any update for custom rom.

why you misleading him.. i don't think the ics csc will work for jb.. as the jb for his country not yet available nor for the entire world(excluding germany and china) so nor the csc of jb for his country avavilabe as a result in the end he will have a fone without imei or his efs folder may get deleted

maybe you are correct as i have never stayed on official jb leak for long then a day they are so laggy.. i am always a cm user and want hardcore performance out of my phone anyway never cared of csc and to be more particular i don't want him to brick up his device and again coming for help that i have no efs folder or no signal blah blah.. i am sorry if this hurted you don't take it serious my big broda.. we all are here to help each other or to beware the noobs of possible bricks and risk involved of loosing his/her beloved note as a bricked device.. you are correct i am wrong

Tried that and it didn't work. "Global" didn't work either.
Maybe because I'm on V10F PORTUGAL, but I'm downloading the KDZ.

tried that already... i even used pit file to repartition... it stays "custom"... tried my V3 4.1.2 ROM, tried vodafone pt 4.1.1 official an pit file, got a recovery loop, flashed i8190xxama1 dbt official 4.1.2, tried WIPE-I8190, PARAM-I8190, original recovery.tar.. nothing... always "custom"....
i don't know what else to do !!!

All of the original recovery.tar in this forum are not Samsung signed.........for this reason it is set to Custom.
i think needs to reset to zero the custom binary counter

I've never done before a complete backup of my rom I have the orginal recovery.
yet not I get it out easily

I know definitely that I'm going to get no more samsung

you have open thread with recovery and like you see is not simple like that need some patiance and also some searche and help from other all this is not in 1 minute wait until dev add support to ur device now devloper are discovering how to run ur device is diferant from other galaxy s phone now if you are crying for binary count see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37175660#post37175660 like i explaine above just wait and let time to dev
done... gonna pick it up repaired and with official 4.1.2 rom installed, tomorrow after 09.30 AM.... :fingers-crossed: i don't have resources to recover my device to is normal state... he owns a phone repair shops and knows lots about this stuff... :good:

Exactly the same issue here. CP: XXXX But my phone is working no issues other than that one.

my cell phone only works this is not standard so
I don't care cause warranty covers factory defects anyway and nothing else. So if anything was gonna go wrong with my phone it would've gone wrong by now.
So all of this is due to custom recovery etc?
Ps, Binary count has nothing to do with the firmware status.
You can have 100 binary counts but if you never messed with custom recoverys,bad param.lfs files etc your device will remain Official.

as u know im facing with same problem. i use param.lfs to wake up my device. you said "messed with custom recoverys,bad param.lfs files..." can u share a good param.lfs for us...

who told you that...? has far i know, samsung devices with rooted and modified rom's aren't covered by warranty !!
For me in UK Virgin Mobile the Modem in LSZ 412 is awful..
Is it possible to change the Modem in LSZ (412) back to XXLRK Modem from XXLRQ 404 in PC ODIN.. Is it available as a seperate download.
When I was using the S2, I just put the Modem (in this case LRK) into PDA of PC ODIN and flashed > Rebooted and it was fine.. No wipe, Is that still the case on the note.

Yes you can. There is a thread for modems in the Dev section. Check if you have the modem there.
If you get a modem.bin file, then you can flash it using mobile odin too. Rooted phones.

Much appreciated, thanks. I use my note as daily driver for work, so dont want to root it or mess with it.
Just finding H+ with LSO modem, even in GSM Only really bad,up and down like a yo yo.
Am I right that modem goes into PDA in PC Odin?.

Try using superoneclick
I had this problem, all you need to do is download official 2.3.6 firmware (xxjvt or something like) and flash via Odin. Then download and flash cf root via Odin and there you go

I did everything correctly but when i was going to choose language the phone just lagged and turned of after a couple of seconds ill try again

Ok i tryed to reset my gear and it wont both from the settings menu and in recovery. Software ver is r381xxu0b082. If maybe by chance i can get a offical stock rom and go through download to repair it... or is it even possible? Or should i just send it to canada and pay an outrageous price to have samsung do the same thing? Hopefully some one can help. Thanx

this forum is a ghost town. Just me and a few others in here. So, heres what I would od if i was in your shoes. First, Id tie them to make sure i dont trip on the laces, then id download the tar.md5 file from sammobile.com and flash it via odin in DL mode. If youre familiar with that process, cool. If not, lemme know and ill give ya some links for odin and the tarball etc etc
