I have tried Juice defender, Antutu battery saver, 2x Battery saver, DU battery saver, etc. All of them were tried before rooting. Did not notice much of a difference.

Sorry to be late , I didn't notice this thread .
About deleting bloatware our device don't have bloatware , bloatware is a useless apps , howerver , you can delete "talk.apk" and "googleplus.apk" and "maps.apk" and "weather" because they are running all the time and use RAM . To delete them just download any root browser from play store , for exapmle "root browser"
About battery , the best thing is flashing a custom kernel ,, we don't have any kernel at the moment because of the locked bootloaders .
I don't have any experience with battery saving apps ,, personally I don't use them .

Thanks. If I delete these apk's and do an unroot later (for some reason), will I get them back? Moreover, can I use Gps/Maps appln for navigation later if I delete maps.apk? Deleting them will automatically improve battery life as well, right?

Don't delete maps. Better not to delete anything. I use titanium backup to freeze tmem. Best way to save ram.
Deleting stock apps will cause your next update to be the .kdz way
Cuz` ota will handle missing apps as an error
Just sayin`

Thanks. I more interested in improving battery life. Will freezing (does it mean disabling?) of apps improve battery life? And before doing a factory reset or unroot should I unfreeze them to get them back?

3. Music : Again android 4.2 music player
4. Battery : Tweaked : Please wipe battery stats before tweaking
5. Looks : Two new themes 1. Honeycomb 2.HTC Sense with blue battery
6.Bootanimation : Beats audio boot animation
7. Gaming: Again played temple run worked Ok
8. reboot time is very less.

Request
As a request I just want to say that I am a newbie and just doing all this stuff by copy, paste and edit and little bit knowledge.
My main motive is to learn something and side by side keep this forum alive as this is my first android device and I love it.
Just to share that this is my 3rd rom in 4 days and to bring it to reality I have flashed my phone at least more than 500 times by making small changes to rom and to check if it works or not. I am trying to port 2-3 other roms and just want support of you all.
So please if some bug is there please report and if possible help to remove it or provide me link to some tutorial to debug it
Thanks for all your support
WILL KEEP THE FIH-FBO SPIRIT ALIVE
its a great start tanuj..... infact elol, aben, Zuk started as a noob over this forum and now they are well known over this forum .....

You can also try to get into the system settings and select 'delete data' at the samsung homescreen-app. Then all your widgets etc are removed but it works again.

Don't be scared dude... We also had our first time when rooting... First, i guess what you should do is... Upgrade your phone to Gingerbread(2.3.6) via kies. Then Google "Root galaxy mini 2.3.6". You will find awesome tutorials out there. You will then finally root your device and then are able to enter the world of Custom ROMs. No need to be scared..... With a Samsung device it's really easy...

You can disable it - problem solved But I agree, for those who are rooted, it's best to get rid of what you don't need to...
BTW. they should really STOP putting all this FB/Twitter crap on our phones... you can get those from Play, no need to put it as a "factory app" that can't be removed

root the phone and delete the update app from /system, I've always done this way
this way you will loose also some sony apps updates maybe, but you can still get them here in the forum (even more updated from other phones maybe)
I am with the rooting approach. But in that case you can simply freeze it then.
If you don't like rooting you may try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weborienteer.utilits.hibernate&hl=en . It can hibernate many system apps.
