Script [AMARULLZ DATA TO SD-EXT(A2SDX)] Modified

Biggest problem with the original script was that it swapped your internal memory with your ext. partition. Leaving your dalvik cache on your true internal memory. As time went by I noticed that the more apps I installed my true internal memory got smaller and smaller So I modified the script so that the dalvik cache also got moved to the ext. partition! Bye doing so, your only limitation to how many apps you can install depends on your ext. partition size!

Installation:
1. Download attached zip copy to sd card
2. Boot into CWM > Mount System
3. Flash the zip file
4. Reboot system
5. Don't forget to hit"THANKS"
Note: Works best on newly flashed ROM's with no apps yet installed.

Nothings changed in the script, only the location of the dalvik cache.

this script would be useful for newest andro-id rom with its lackness of app2sd solution, thx

None so far! But then again the class of your SD Card always plays a factor. I have 75 apps installed and it's still running smooth!

No you will not need A2SD, this script automatically move newly installed apps to the ext. partition.

well, will definetly try this script, im really a big fan of this script, but i hate it when it starts slowing down my device.... i hope this is a beauty. thanks

still under testing/observation here sir.

i have been using amarullz since i started using squad's rom.and it is working very nice, as well as this modded version.so far no bugs have arrived my way.
perfomance still the same like the original version so i think i can suggest using it.;]
can press "Thanks" if i helped.;]

I WAS happy about it then it began to lag.

what rom you are using ?
after seeing your screenshot , the internal storage is 1GB :O ?

Course he is using a mini.. that's what the amarulz script do.. if you have a 2gb sd-ext, then you'll have 2gb internal memory..

Internal memory problems for galaxy ace

Hi.
This is my first topic here after trying alot. . I am on stock rom for galaxy ace but rooted. .. I want to increase my internal memory, actually want to use ext4 partition on my memory card to install apps directly. .. I have tried amarullz script but it gives bootloops. .. I hve tried various other methods but useless. .. Kindly help me if anyone is on stock rom and using that kind of scripts like amarullz or else. ..
Any help would be appreciated...

Use link 2 sd ... Fast and easy ... But you'll need a cf-root kernel cause it need init.d kernel to mount your sd card 2nd partition

i am using link2sd now and it works just fine but i need a script like amarullz. .. if the kernel supports init.d why amarullz gives bootloops

CM9 doesn't see ext4

I just downloaded and flashed newest Cyanogen Experience (2012 09 23) for Galaxy Mini, but I can't get ext4 to work. I tried formating it with both Partition Wizard and from clockwork (clockword mounts it fine) but the system doesn't see any ext4/3 partition at all.
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or is it a bug? I like a lot the rom for now, with new system settings, performance and all.
I'll be really grateful for any tips, thank you in advance.

Doesn't CM9 have that script built in & launched on boot?

Hah, sry, experience. I keep saying CM9 for some reason ....
And I'm kinda lost how to install the script manually. I did it once long time ago, since then I used only S2E which installed automatically ^^

[SCRIPT] INT2EXT+ MODDED for Activo Speeder.

How many of you would like to install Activo Speeder v3 and have at the same time INT2EXT +? I think many users, but the two scripts do not work properly together because they done both the Zipalign going to contradict each other. For this reason I modified the script removing Zipalign attributes into INT2EXT+ and then install it on your device even if you have the Activo Speeder.
INT2EXT+ MODDED
- Mounts /sd-ext to /data
- Leaves /data/data on internal for more speed
- Works with EXT2/3/4 file system
- No ZipAligns /data/app on every boot (will do it the Activo Speeder)
- No symlinks
- First Universal INT2EXT Method
Just flash as any other script but do mount /system, /data and /sd-ext before flashing....
Also ensure to remove any other script installed before installing this one....
NOTES:
for INT2EXT+ modded
For every 512MB sd-ext partition you need a 100MB space on /data. So please limit your sd-ext patition to 1GB max.
INT2EXT+ works with EXT2/3/4 partitions.

If u have just moved data in sd-ext partition, to use this script u must reflash your rom.

YES it is working fine on cm7 rom and all custom roms

Ian test @cm10.1 and cm7.2 its work perfectly..

i really really thank you for this script. i'm using tw5 rom. everything is fine, only the internal memory is left too small for us even after a clean install. really frustrated me for a while. then someone suggest me to install this script, i'm partitioning my sd card to 1gb for ext2. now i still got 788 mb after a clean install of tw5 rom. great job man

How can I check if the script works properly?
I don't know why but it doesn't work on last cm 10.1 by erikas.
I have followed the procedure:
- mount system
- mount sd-ext
- flash
- reboot
- and other reboot

It's more stranger...I have your same rom and this script work perfecty! Go to /system/etc/init.d and look if there is it anf if it has the right permissions rwx-rx-rx

With this script you can use your sd-ext partition like internal memory without any app to move your installed apps and have in the same time Activo Speeder (script to improve device performance)...simple.

[Q] Cronmod on Jellybean

Hey guys,
I tried to flash the Cronmod script on the latest Paranoid Android rom from OldDroid. First I flashed a patched servicr.jar, then
I mounted /data and /sdext, flashed the script and then formated /sdext.. but it doesn't work.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong there? Or is Cronmod not working on Android 4+?

I think mounting /system is enough because the script'll be placed in /system/etc/init.d folder

you should mount system and even data if necessary but system is must by the way which cronmod script are you using please specify then i can help easily

I know but we need to mount /system to push the script file into /system/etc/init.d folder as I told you
Anyway we can add a command line in the flashble zip file to do it automatically

Okay I tried it again but it still doesn't work..
I flashed Paranoid Android, then I flashed the patched service.jar from you directly. After that I wiped cache and dalvic cache and rebooted.
After the first reboot I went into recovery and mounted /system and /data then I flashed the script and formated /sdext.
I don't know what I've done wrong there.. Maybe I flashed the service.jar not correctly?

Try mounting /sd-ext and formating it when the installation
If it doesn't work, extract the script file from .zip file and put it into init.d manually and set the correct permissons, finally reboot your phone, it should work too

Hmm I tried it now on another rom (ICS) and now it's working, but with some weird bugs. When I long press the on/off button (I mean the one in the right side) only the word 'shutdown' appears.. Usually there should be more than this one word (There should be buttons for silence mode, vibration mode,...)
Plus there isn't a lockscreen anymore.. weird

First I tried on ParanoidAndroid from OldDroid and then on AOSP ICS from OldDroid.. on which rom did you tried this? On PA cronmod doesnt work and on ics these strange bugs appears D:

Cron Mod is compatible with ALMOST every rom. uptill now i tried it on cm 10.1, cm 10.1.3, TheUltimatum ,TheMyth series, AOSPA, AOKP & Apocalypse.

which cromod script do you use if you use v4+ then i tell you that it is quiet buggy and also creates low volume bug
i cant remember but one of my friend was having same problem
i would recommend you CronMod-INT2EXT+ not v2 or v2+ just what i am telling use this and reply me

The bug is nothin but the conflict between diff scripts. If we use the necessary n specific scripts SGA ll be good rather than flashin evry script available.

I wa trzing int2ext+, did you/your friend also had problems with that version?
Maybe its a problem of the rom.. Both of them was built from OldDroid..

yes you may be right that the rom may not support it

I red some time ago that someone posted a modified version of cronmod in order to make it work on android 4+. You can use the kernel patcher by (I don't remember his name now, sorry) that wipe the rom on the ext4 partition. Good luck Peace!

That is the problem I think. I flashed cronmod on cm10 from mardon and it works without problems. Just weird that it doesnt work on roms from OldDroid..
