Guys, running an 8X on Verizon, no portico update. My wife uses outlook and an iPhone to work calendar and contacts. I sync using Gmail. Everything works great, dates are changed quickly and contacts work. Except for one thing.
Looking at both outlook and google calendar, a particular recurring event is correct, but its a week off on my phone. Everything else works fine, even other recurring events just not this particular one.
Any ideas as to why this is?

Having spotted that Hotmail now supports Push Email via ActiveSync Exchange, I decided to set this up on my phone last week. Up until then I had been using the HTC Mail App via POP using the scheduling to retreive emails every so often. This works, but of course there's a delay between receiving an email and it appearing on my phone.
I've set up the Mail App using the ActiveSync Exchange which worked great, syncronised my contacts and folders. It then dowloaded the last few emails I had which was also exactly what I wanted.
I marked the items as 'Read'. However, no sooner had I done this it then proceeded to download and alert me for the same emails. Again, I marked them all as 'Read', exited the app and it alerted me again for the same ones. So I tried deleting them. Same result.
This is very frustrating as it seems to be stuck in an infinite loop. I've turned off the "Update on open" option as this seemed to conflict with the 'push' nature of the system. However, I'm still not receiving emails on push as far as I can tell. (I've just tested it now).
Can anyone tell me if this is just me or if there's some sort of inherant issue with the HTC Mail App in 2.3 as the wife also has this same problem on her Desire HD 2.3.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey I'm also having the exact same issues (marking read/unread and deleted keep reappearing). Have you found any solution yet?

i've seen this behavior as well. i'll open email (HTC Mail App) read a new email, new emails arrive and the one i just read shows up as new email - again. i use the HTC Mail App for my gmail (so i can have all email in one inbox) and it's the only account where i have this issue. i'm using the Unity 1.27 Sense 3.0 ROM.
When I got the HTC One the other day, I was using Google Calendar as the default calendar so I thought once I synced the calendar on the HTC One with the Google calendar I would have everything but that doesn't seem to be the case. Also have Pocket Informant calendar installed and that has the same problem. Events for last month and this month and some recurring birthdays are there and also the current month but nothing else. Is there a way to get previous events reloaded in? The events are the main thing. They are all on the Google calendar when I look at the web page.
Tried installing Calengoo, another calendar program, and told it to sync to Google calendar and it syncs everything going back several years. But in the native calendar that comes with the HTC One and PI I only get the current month and recurring dates like birthdays.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling PI. Oddly enough when I uninstalled it the phone rebooted. When I reinstalled it everything was gone. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
I notice too that HTC Sync is turned off and there's no option to turn it on again. Don't know if this is related.
______________
settings>account>gmail account> check if calendar is checked
Yes, it's checked. This may be a tough one.
mhhh then try to remove that account and re-add it
You may have meant remove the mail account. There's no calendar account. Since HTC Sync seemed to be messed up, I removed that, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to add it back. Now it's gone and there's no account add under accounts and sync. Can't find it in the play store either.
Does google calendar work on HTC One?
I know there were heaps of problems with google calendar on HTC One X, and when you uninstalled the google calendar, the HTC calendar no longer worked and you had to do a factory reset to fix it.
I don't want to go through that hell again, and haven't rooted my HTC One, so can't back it up /try/ restore if stuffed.
Anyone tried it?
It's a totally new version of Sense, HTC calendar and google calendar.. I'm not game to get punched in the face again..

Calendar issue
I have "Contacts Birthday's and Events" calendar subscribed in my Gmail and I maintain the birthday dates of all my contacts in Gmail [format: December DD, YYYY]. In HTC calendar [Accounts] i checked the Google option and in that i checked "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option, which takes the birthdays dates from my Gmail contacts and sets reminders and notifications. But I am not able to see any notifications from the calendar.
Now, i have another option in HTC Calendar Accounts called "People (Birthdays & Anniversaries)" and i have no idea where this option came from and from where it takes the birthday data from but it displays the birthdays. The annoying thing is when an event is about to occur this People thing displays 4 reminders for the same event, which is irritating.
I want to know where this People option came from and from where its taking the data and why the hell cant i see the Gmail contacts birthdays through the "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option??? :crying:
Hello everyone!
I've been using the HTC for a little over one month now and have been very happy with it so far. It is a great smartphone in every respect.
Today however, I noticed that emails which I send over the stock app using Exchange ActiveSync do not display a timestamp. The emails are sent without a hitch and they are received just fine as well. However, when i open Outlook 2013 and look at the 'Sent Items' folder, the column where the time is normally displayed says 'None' for the Emails which I have sent from the HTC's own client. This only happens with emails sent for the stock app - if i send an email using the same account using Outlook app, the timestamp displays just fine.
Furthermore, if i open the account on Outlook.com, the timestamp also displays fine, even when sent from the HTC stock app.... Yet I really doubt this is a problem with Outlook however, as every other account I have (including several other Exchange accounts) work perfectly fine. Outlook 2013 only seems to have trouble reading the timestamps on emails sent from the HTC stock app and nothing else.
Has anyone else also experienced issues with timestamps missing from outgoing emails?
(The attach screenshot is of my 'Sent Items' folder in Outlook. The highlighted portions are the emails sent through the HTC One stock email app...)
I just installed Outlook 2013 today and have noticed the exact same problem. Does anyone have a solution?

I ditched the stock app for the official Outlook app.
Hi,
I am having problems with syncing agenda's. I haven't found a similar issue on the web.
I am using default HTC calendar app. I am syncing with my companies exchange server and several google agenda's
Everything sync's just fine except for one problem:
I have all day appointments set for several days in the future, in general about 3-5 months ahead.
Those all day appointments are made by me in my outlook agenda. They do sync and are visible in my phone's agenda. But after several days/weeks/months (i just don't know), these appointments that are still in the future have disappeared from my phone's agenda, but not from outlook.
Another important observation is that this is not an issue on my Transformer Prime (Android 4.x). In retrospect I believe I had this issue also on my HTC Sensation XE (also Android 4.x).
My simple analysis is that the sync mechanism in HTC is looking at the create date instead of the actual date when it comes to syncing.
Switching to sync everything is also not a solution, which makes my analysis wrong. . .
Can someone give me any advise?
