So I posted this in the Q/A section but no one could help me out. Since it's a theming issue, I'm re-posting it here to see if I some one will know what I'm talking about. I've been trying to make the jog tabs transparent when you answer or decline a call, and I can't seem to find it. I've already edited the tabs, in the framework drawable-hdpi, so my unlock screen is transparent. But that doesn't seem to affect the tabs when you answer a call. Anyone know the answer? I don't think it's in the phone.apk. Do I need to edit an xml file in the framework? Thanks to anyone willing to help.

So I unzipped it to have a look around and it's not in there. I know if I want to mess with the dialer all the png's are there but I'm looking to make the answer call screen transparent. I found the 'answer' and 'reject' png's in the phone.apk but the tabs around them (the tabs that make it look like the AOSP lockscreen) won't go away.
Sorry off the top of my head I believe they're in the phone.apk. im the drawable-hdpi folder. If you can't find them ill look when I get home.

Can anyone help me by telling me where the files are located to edit the notification pulldown? I am looking to change colors, transparency, etc.
I am trying my hand at theming JVH.
Thanks
Search google for "uot" and check out the online theme kitchen.

System ui apk

Sounds interesting, I went into the System ui apk, and opened "res" folder, then "drawable-hdpi", and found what I believe to be the right file, "status_bar_background.png" is this the correct file to edit for say, changing the transparency in gimp or photoshop?
I, like vdubguy, would like to know how to do this without using the kitchen.

With the new system ui API you ,have to decompile the apk and change a value as it points the background to a color code and not the image. Once you change that then you can change the image to add transperncy. You will also have to decompile it to make color changes as well

Hey guys. i was going to mod my framework-res.apk to change my emoticon pictures and well they are already smiley faces but yet in messaging and any other app it shows the green android dude. I dont want that i want standard yellow smiley faces and in my framework-res.apk thats exactly what i have. Where could it be getting these other emoticons from? Im so terribly confused
The android emoticons are found in the Mms.apk, which could be found in /system/app there is already the yellow I believe just named differently.

Yep...In framework-res.apk,search for them
Noo. Not the picture of the circle.
I want to enlarge the space to use the lock pattern.
It's kind of small on CM7. And the date and time take up too much space.
So i want to resize the space that the date and time take, and enlarge the lock pattern.
What xml's am i supposed to mod.
Thanks.

Ok. So in this case, i'm supposed to mod keyguard_screen_unlock_portrait.xml.
I want to edit the margin. So I guess i manually delete the date and clock. But how do i extend the lock pattern.
I delete the whole Relative Layout?
And In lock pattern am i supposed to reset the margins?
I've attached the .xml for reference, if you can tell me what to mod, it will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Any answers?

As the title says, I'm looking for a way to change the Xperia light background to Honami style..
In my current rom a plain white background is used.. How to change this? ^^
Sent from my LT25i using xda app-developers app
you have to be more specific, what exactly you mean?
isnt there also in honami rom a light background? there are both around the xda forum, light and dark. and there is a honami rom (light and dark version)
what rom you using right now?

I would like to change the stock white background (see image) to the grey-white Honami background.. For all apps that use it.
Using Pure X Blaster on my XV
I wonder if I just have to replace an image in SemcGenericUxpRes.apk or do some smali editing to change the background..

Alright, to be more clear..
I would like to know what I need to do to change "semc_bg_bright" to Honami style.

Have already tried that, doesn't work for some reason..
What about the .xml files in the same folder? Might these need a change?

Try changing in framework-res.apk\res\drawable-nodpi the background_holo_light.png with a png file you want, could work mate.
