Anyone would like to post the first impressions about 4.2.2?
I think the device is definitely colder, or could it be just placebo?

Anyone else have the same experience?

Everyone always does after a fresh update. From the AOSP changelog, I don't think much work was done in that area.
Bluetooth streaming is working great for me. Was worth the wait!!

Now that I can finally talk about it (lol), the main thing I have found to be different in 4.2.2, is the battery life. I can EASILY make it through a day and have plenty battery remaining. I have had days where my talk time was around 2.5 hours, and my screen time was 2 hrs, and the battery lasted 17 hours. With medium to heavy use, my battery still easily makes it to 15 - 17 hours. A light use day now can easily have the battery last 24 hours. All in all, the update isn't a major change. There are a few things like the battery charging sound and the quick toggles (long press to do it), but overall the most significant thing the update brings is acceptable battery life. Whereas before, battery life was the Nexus 4's weakness, it is now something of a strength. It's also worth noting that the screen sensitivity issue has been addressed too.
I feel the same.

Its not a minor patch, 50MB is big for an incremental update, and it is only contain bug fixes.
When i am on GNex 4.1.2 to 4.2 is 80+MB, and its a huge update, i mean it contain some new features and bug fixes.

Any news about the data not working when the device is idle for a long time? Or is it me the only one who has it??
Edited for what I assume may be better clarity:
Anyone else experiencing the notification dropdown being... slower? Like they smoothed out the animation of it opening, but now it feels like it takes too long. I liked it being quick before. It seems to be fine if you flick further (than usual for me), but if you do just a really quick flick, it's slower. I don't know how to explain it. I mean it acts like "normal" if you pull it down about half way with your thumb as fast as you want before releasing, but.. that flick man!
I LIKE TO FLICK! =[
Edit #2: Now that I think about it, the notifications feel like they open the way they did when 4.1 first launched, because I remembered them being slower then, too. I got used to it then, but having it the way its been for so long, its annoying to go back.
Also, maybe I'm just crazy.

Now it looks laggy in a way. I doubt it's because I have a lot of notifications loaded up because they were there before the update, too, and I had no problems.
Edit: It will now pull down as fast as you pull it down if you manually drag from the top to the bottom of the screen (i.e. using your finger about half of the way instead of just a quick flick). However, the act of flicking the notification tray down to open it, is slower.

I have that too. It is pretty annoying. Initially i thought it is the operator coverage problem but i tried my sim to an S3 and it is working flawlessly.
I really hope it is fixed in 4.2.2. Wait for it with croessed fingers.

Used to happen to me on the GNEX ALL THE TIME. On the Nexus 4 it only happened to me a few times, however, and that was near when I got it. I don't think I had the problem at all for the duration of 4.1.2. Strange...

This screenshot essentially shows us nothing without the other two. You need to click display in order for us to see the screen on time and click where it says 23hrs 15min as well. We need all that.
The only thing you've shown us is that the phone made it 23 hours and that you actually charged it for a little bit as well LMAO

ok so i came to the atrix at a what i have to say is a perfect time. i bought the phone and 2 days later there was root! i mean i was pretty lucky, had to wait for the unlock code and suffer one day without root! not to shabby. now while i had minimal time without root my battery seemed fine. however, i have since installed setcpu after root and dropped the clock down to 384mhz. while i know its slow! it still gets the job done. have a look at the screen shots.

But the HTC one is riddled with QC issues and doesn't really improve much over the last Gen of phones. The next Gen has snapdragon 800, 3000 mAh batteries and whatnot. Plus, the 800s are really close. Like the G2 is already here.
The One isn't that good IMHO. The camera is overhyped really and the number of defects people are reporting make this phone worth skipping.
To stay on track with your question the CM experience is something I don't think someone in their right mind would recomend. Hell it has a tendency to burn up some phones and need replaced.

I agree if your sole decision is CM. Then wait. Cm was better on my gs3 than on here. It's pretty buggy and as has been said there are many reports of people's phones bricking cause of cm. To the quality control issue... I have had none, this phone has been great in that regard... But maybe I'm just lucky . In all honesty, overall this is the best phone I've ever owned. I don't think you'd go wrong with this phone.

My $0.02:
For the short while I was able to use CM, I wasn't exactly blown away. It was exactly the same as my GS2, but with better specs. There were no extra features or anything. It looked nice with Black Infinitum, but again, not really different from my old phone. There were some bugs, so...
And you do have to watch out for the max freq lock, which will burn up your phone as it sits.
EDIT: However, CM Nemesis is coming soon. I would still wait for for a new device with better specs, but hey, this is a fairly new device.

I really haven't had any issues since 10.1
Sent from my One using XDA Premium HD app
I used it for a week while on vacation and while it was nice to see a less bloated One with all the additional customization .. there were several issues and features that made me go back.
The biggest was GPS lock - I could not get a steady lock and if I did the radius was quite large, throwing me all over the map.
The phone actually seemed less responsive overall - including a slight delay when turning on the phone.
Missed the htc car app - google car and the ones from the market are not the same
and the IR - now it has only come in handy once, when my remote died; however, the remote can be fun at the bar
The HTCOne is a unique phone, the button layout is strange and is my biggest headache. Contrary to most posts above I like the CM experience on it better then sense, but this is my first (and only ever!) sense phone. I much prefer the AOSP experience. CM is lacking in a few places but core functionality is there and works good enough for me for daily use, for the record I'm on 10.2 20130819
Truthfully though I think I would wait for a new nexus device. I love the feel of the One in my hand but it's nothing amazing hardware wise.

Read through all the posts in General and you'll get your information. Like I tell everyone, buy the phone because you want it, not because someone else sold it to you.
The storage is just enough for me. It would be nice to have a sd card slot though. Battery life lasts 12 hours for me on a regular day. Matters how much you use it of course. The main thing that sold me on the phone was Sense.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4
Have it and don't recommend. I'd wait for the next nexus. I've been disappointed with the camera on the One. 2nd One with camera issues, purple and/or red tint. Otherwise solid phone.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Pros: great screen, front speakers are awesome, nice build, fast, great front camera, good size, great reception, awesome in red, I like the notification LED
Cons: back camera sucks compared most other phones (pictures are pixelated), battery life could be better but it's manageable, charges really slow
Noted: You quickly adapt to the lack of a menu button, takes great pics in the dark, Sense is probably the best skin available, the TV app is really useful.
Verdict: Not bad for a "phone", I think i would have personally liked the S4 better. My 14 year old daughter has one too and loves it.I'll be getting the Note 3 once its affordable and selling this one.
Have one, don't recommend. HTC refuses to pay attention to details such as build quality. It refuses to fix the purple tint issue. The camera is overrated. The battery life is only decent. You can't get S-off on certain hboots.
Wait for the Nexus 5. It looks freaking sweet.

Wait it out bro. This phone is 5 months old and hasn't smelled an update. You have to worry about pink camera issue, the build quality gamble, and who knows if 32gb is enough for you. Wait it out instead of jumping so quickly
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4
I, personally, love mine. No camera issue, fast as hell, and we haven't seen an update to 4.2.2 because HTC is jumping right to 4.3 within the next couple weeks.
I've not had a better smart phone experience and I owned a RAZR HD and a galaxy s iii
Sent from my HTCONE using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I love my HTC One. Like everyone else said, the battery could be better but I'm running complete stock so maybe a custom ROM would help the battery. As for the camera issue, HTC said that they would fix it with the 4.3 update so I wouldn't worry about that. The only thing is that this phone is I think five months old so if you really want a HTC phone, then go for it. I would take this over the S4 and the next Nexus mainly because of HTC Sense. And the specs are as good as the competitors so it all comes down to preference of UI and features. My One has never frozen on me and I've had it for two months. Great phone and would definitely recommend it. Let us know what you decide!
EDIT: Sorry I got off track and forgot to answer your questions. The battery lasts me about 10-11 hours but that's on stock. The storage is more than enough to have for another two years. And like I said, my One has never frozen on me so no need for a battery pull. And I'm sure that HTC made the charging of the phone take longer to conserve the overall life of the battery but mine charges pretty fast. It's not slow but it's not super fast either.
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium
This phone uses the older generation of Gorilla glass, people from the Taiwan forums are reporting that the 4.3 update doesn't fix the camera tint, and I get around 14 hours battery life with moderate use. This phone is already outdated and you would be a fool to pay $600 for it when there are much better phones just around the corner.

Mine is hit or miss, doing the same things with the phone at the same places every day, some days it is decent and I will have 40-50% left when I get home, other days (like today) it was almost totally dead. That's with sync and wifi on, but location turned off. Its decent, but far from great IMO.
The battery life is WAY better than my wife's Nexus 5, but it is garbage compared to my international Note 2 I was using previously. I'd have 70-80% left when I got got home doing the same stuff as I am with the S5, plus I would leave Bluetooth, wifi, sync, location, and GPS on all the time.

Holding up much better than my S4 which I returned as I could barely get it to go 3/4 of a day without dying with normal usage. Now I end the day with at least 30% left. Also outperforming my iPhone 5S which would be close to dead by the end of the day. Very impressed!
great battery
I had an S3 before. When left alone at night, I can see phone 'Awake' numerous times. As viewed from Battery settings.
Except Gmail, I had sync disabled on every app. I also had most of the apps greenified. Still phone wakes up numerous times at night when not in use.
With S5, I have installed all the apps I had on S3. I have configured only few of them. None of them are greenified now. Also, I have left more apps to sync in background. Previous night, in the 9 hrs I left it alone, it woke only 2 times. Thats really good. In that 9 idle hours, battery dropped only 4%.
Battery is similar to the m8 (very good)... I'm thinking I'm going to have to return the htc

I'm really not getting very good battery life at all. I am shocked when I hear of others getting 5+ hours of screen on time. I'm getting nowhere near that and unfortunately for me I'm on my phone all day for work (calls, emails, etc.) because I work from home. This is also my 2nd SGS5. The first was having major screen issues and the capacitive buttons stopped lighting up for some reason.

Have you disabled all of the built in apps you aren't using? Try to cycle your battery. Go on your Google account and disable sync on thin you don't need. Or call ATT and ask for a replacement under warranty maybe your battery is bad. They are very good when it comes to warranty exchanges. Best of luck.

I've tried cycling, I have more than half of the sync items turned off and I'm still having this issue But thank you for the suggestions. I am going to head to the store tomorrow and see about a replacement. I just can't guarantee it will be another S5 at this point. LOL

Att wouldn't even let me return the phone without restocking fee. Which was a joke.

Oh really? I'm still within my 14 days because we just switched to them and I've had issues so that may be why I've had no trouble?

Fantastic battery life so far. Since unplugging it from the charger Wednesday morning, my battery is at 86% this morning! I do have the power saving mode on (not the ultra power saving mode, the regular one), and don't use it a whole lot during the day (not for hours on end at least, just a few minutes here and there)
Better battery life that I was getting on my S4.
I average about 5-6 hours screen time every day no matter if on WiFi or data.... I bet I could crack 7 if I was on Wi-Fi the whole time but yeah, coming from the nexus 5, this thing kicks the crap out of it in battery department

My first battery cycle I got 7 hours screen on time and the last two I haven't gotten more than 5 hour if that. I disabled about as much bloat I could. Can some one explain what it means to cycle your battery
I think the battery life has been really good so far...
