wacha12,
Please try the following:
1. Press and hold the power button for 2 full minutes, then release the power button.
2. Plug into a charger overnight
3. Turn the Kindle on by depressing the power button
If that does not revive the Kindle try-
If you get stuck at a screen with a yellow triangle, run:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x1949 oem idme bootmode 4000
If your device is always booting TWRP run:
Code:
adb shell "idme bootmode 4000"
If you still can't get out of booting TWRP, first run:
Code:
adb shell "idme bootmode 4002"
reboot your device, then run:
Code:
adb shell "idme bootmode 4000"
reboot again and you should be out of your bootloop

No offense or anything, but
You are an idiot!
Definitely do NOT contact Amazon and tell them, “oh, I didn't think your firmware was good enough, so I decided to hack into it and install my own version of Android. I screwed up along the way though, so now I am begging you to fix my own stupidity. Please help!"

Kindle Fire HD wont turn on
Hi there, people from xda-developers. I was wondering if you could help me fix my Kindle Fire HD. I am from the Philippines and I received my KFHD as a Christmas gift from my uncle in the US. Even before my KFHD died, there has been times that it would suddenly shut down while playing. I've tried restarting the device and downloaded all the games and apps all over again. But still it wont stop from shutting down while playing. It doesn't shutdown in a particular game though. And now, it won't open anymore. Coz usually when the shutting down occurs before, all I do is just to turn it back on. But now, whenever I try turning it on, it only shows the "kindle fire" logo and wont push thru. I cant remember the last thing I downloaded in my device. But what I know is that I have an antivirus application in it. Is it possible that it was corrupted by a virus or something? If it was, is there something I could do to fix it. I tried holding the power button for 20 seconds then press it again, still the same thing happens. It only opens up to the "kindle fire" logo. My device is not rooted. Guys, please help me.

The reason it won't turn on is i tried to install roms ., my kindle is Rooted.
This are my last thing wrote on CMD:

I'll admit it, I'm a noob - I pushed the wrong bootloader to my HD7. I called Amazon and admitted my mistake and they offered a reduced replacement cost (not applicable toward upgrade to the HDX - D'oh!). I do nothing for at least a month before I decide to look into the solder solution, which apparently won't work. Someone said Amazon has a liberal return policy? They only check for physical damage?
{research}
Post on the interwebs - woman breaks screen 5 days out of warranty, admits it, gets price reduction offer, declines and then later speaks to another rep, is equally honest, and the 2nd rep replaces the device free of charge.
Eh, why not?
Live chat with Amazon - "My Kindle Fire won't turn on any more." {troubleshooting} "I'll send you a replacement with 2 day guaranteed delivery."
Part of troubleshooting included 5 minutes charge time - plenty of time for the Amazon rep to pull my account info, especially since I went out for a smoke and started playing Candy Crush = way more than 5 minutes. The only question posed was whether I have a fast charger.
MORAL: Noobs make mistakes, including admitting their mistakes, but it's noob persistence that ultimately brought us or exploits - so exploit the Amazon return policy as best you can!
I may be dumb, but I'm not mute

Ive rooted a few phones and tablets before and have never bricked a device (got close) until now. This kindle fire i believe is truly hard bricked. What happened was, I rooted it with the kindle fire utility, and when it rebooted it was stuck on the kindle fire logo screen. I let it run flat over night, and the next day it was still stuck. So i downloaded kindle unbrick utility to attempt to fix this and then it was in a bootloop and it is now in a hard brick state. power button is non responsive, unless charging, it will turn green then immediately to orange and stay that way. I like to think that nothing is unrecoverable, and im very determined to get this thing back up and running, even if it means taking the case off and flashing it with probes lol.. Ive been working on it for about a week now and I seem to have made things worse. So I'm hoping there's a genius out there that can help me bring life back into this thing.

If you have a factory cable(this is not the one that came with device, Google kindle fire factory cable), you should be able to boot into fastboot. Then it is possible to restore the system partition with a backup of a system.img. Check out the - Backup and Restore System Software in the general section. Not sure if a backup from a different kindle will work but it might be worth a shot. I have posted a a link for system.img backup here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1944718. This was from a KFHD. I hope it helps some people get their devices working.

This is exactly why Amazon has locked this device down( not good enough though). Too many people messing with files they don't understand and making Amazon pay for their irresponsibility. If you are not willing to eat the cost of a device then don't mess with it.

HTC fixed that problem by allowing anyone to root their device, with no hassels. Amazon is not loosing any money from the occasional bricked device.
I have a KF2 that boots into TWRP, but cannot do anything else. There is no os in the system, and the internal sd card cannot be seen either by TWRP or on my computer. The mounting shows a drive letter, drive F, but nothing can be dragged/dropped to it, as it tells me to insert an SD card into drive F. If I try to boot normally, I get the orange Kindle Fire logo, and it just sits like that. Everything I try to do results in a "device not found" message. Any help here, please guys?

Kindle Fire HD 8.9 Not recognized in device manager
Hello, I have nearly similar issue, but I'm in the worse situation. Few days ago I bought Kindle fire hd 8.9, after playing around with Kindle_Fire_Utility_v0.9.6 and Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v16, I was trying rooting my device, suddenly (or after next rebooting operation) my device turned off and never turns on again, no matter how much I charge it. I tried everything, hold power button for 20 secs, so on and so on, nothing works.
In some situations when I connect it to my laptop, Device Manager begins to constantly refresh and I as see between refreshes, it's displaying Other Devices->OMAP4470 and then eventually it disappears after some series of blinking and refreshes. I suppose I have done something wrong with it.
Do anyone have been in the same situation? What to do?
Thanks in advance.

The title says "Bricked Kindle Fire HD...", but you have failed to explain exactly how your Kindle Fire HD is bricked.
Does your device power on? Are you getting anything on the display?
help for bricked device
1- make sure you own a factory cable
2- setup window or Linux with latest java sdk and ADB
READ ALL ALL related posts and download files needed. Must important,, only try one method of De-bricking.
Good luck.
The Kindle Fire will power on and show the logo.....fizz out and show a white fuzzy line down the screen
And I did buy a factory cable in anticipation of this. I tried the recovery method as stated above. Didnt work. The boot cycle kept restarting by itsself

First off, the Kindle Fire HD 7" is not ready for the full android treatment... so perhaps you should put that aside for now (like the rest of us).

You know......I am such an idiot. Even though I was careful to read the warnings I missed the part of it being for Kindle Fire 2 not Kindle Fire HD. Either way.....ended up exchanging the device and starting over. Already got root on the device. Disabled OTA amazon updates, Disabled Ad services from Amazon, and just finished installing Play store. Root i accomplished through the win64 file i downloaded as a manual root function. The rest I used the KFFAide program. My next question is if that same program is reliable enough to install the 2nd bootloader? And is it even worth it installing a different ROM? Please advise.

It's hard to say. Could be a month, could be 6 months. It depends on the amount of free time the wonderful developers working on it devote to building a kernel. As far as I am concerned, they can take as long as they like. After all, they provide for free.
The second bootloader and twrp is a good idea if you want a recovery. It is recommended by this user.

Yes, you are in the right spot if your device is a Kindle Fire HD 7". I would try to use adb (if you know what it is) to enter fastboot mode. Once there, you can flash recovery and then you can fully restore your kindle! (Besides the data he deleted, if he deleted any.) I hope I was able to help

I have encountered a problem with my Kindle Fire HD 7", and have exhausted every avenue I have tried to follow, and still can't find a working solution for my problem, short of contacting Amazon themselves. Please not I'm a Programmer for my local council, so I'm well educated in the tech field.
The problem that I have is, I was trying to install Cyanogen Mod onto my Kindle and all was going well, I was installing TWRP and suddenly my computer Blue Screened, and now has rendered my Kindle completely useless, ****...its being used as a paper weight as I type. Nothing I try is getting anywhere with regards to my Kindle. I have tried every possible solution possible and nothing has worked so far. I have tried shorting out the USB, running specific CLI Diagnostics (which made the screen flash white and that was all) but most of the time I'm finding avenues that I have already tried and haven't worked.
So I ask, is there anyone who knows what has caused the Kindle to enter this completely unresponsive state. I mean the conclusion that I have come to is that this has to be something to do with the order of my boot partitions, as they appear, from what I have read to be jumbled up and not in order, which is the method that the Kindle uses to Boot, reads each partition in order and then boots up.
So please if anyone has any advice or solution for my trouble, or is this just going to be a case of the Kindle becoming a full time paper weight? And please don't waste my time with smug comments!
Thank you
I'm a bit confused, were you flashing cm with adb sideload or something? Because I don't see how a blue screen would mess up your device while its flashing a ROM unless you were flashing your boot loader from your PC at the time, so any more details you can share would help, but if it's not even turning on its usually hard bricked and you will most likely have to see if amazon will send you a free replacement.

This is exactly what I was doing when the Computer crashed, I was flashing the 2nd Bootloader onto the Kindle and TWRP when the Computer crashed, and the .bat file was half way through the process at this time, which is what has led me to believe that the boot partitions are in the wrong order, hence why the kindle has been hard-bricked.
Is there anything I can do or has this just become a object that I can kick down my road?
Yea I would see if amazon will send you a replacement under warranty. Next time you try it I suggest using the fire flash app so you don't have to worry about bluescreens.

That's exactly what I decided to do in the end, literally has no other option and can't find anything that can even give me a glimmer of hope. Just hope that at some point, someone will be able to resolve this problem, as I'm forever seeing this happening to people, especially when they flash the wrong boot loader onto their Kindle.
Thanks anyway for the help
