No off line voice dictation on this Jelly Bean update - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

. So it appears that the Xperia keyboards don't have the link 2 offline dictation at first I thought that it was not implemented or was somehow cut off from us all together

Refer to Xperia keyboard options (Google voice typing key checkbox).

Yes I know how its all working now but the fact is it's retardedly inconvenient I've installed the Jelly bean keyboard and it works like it should with it but I'm not such a fan off this keyboard even if it has some cool animations

TouchPal app temp fix for keyboard skipping.

Hey all, there is a new app called TouchPal that is a nice alternative to assist with keyboard skipping if your using a gingerbread rom. The app has amazing predictive typing functionality. Check it out in the android market. Its free

TouchPal is like there brand name they have TouchPal dialer which is also awesome along with a slew of other TouchPal stuff. But I do agree "TouchPal keyboard" is really epic. Using it as I type this! Better than swype imo.

I still prefer swype...it seems more...stable. but TouchPal is much more "beautiful."
sent from my uncyanogen modded epic 4g. with the key skips.

I was using SwiftKey X but it gave me some minor problems--now I'm using A.I.type keyboard, I really like the iPhone emulation it has available, the word prediction/completion leaves something to be desired, however.

I use Swype and Samsung Keyboard.
Jb - hard to beat for feel...
However imho a keyboard which includes swipe technology is more efficient and safe (driving).

in my opinion, Swiftkey Keyboard is the best
It's auto correct is the most awesome one as it learns by time by itself, and u can import data from Facebook and also Messages.
the deafult one is the best

Gesture typing apk?

Is there a flash or apk to install Jelly Bean gesture typing? I have an i957.
Thanks!

You can get swype beta to work. Not sure on the jb gesture.

Swype beta has bugs like auto space doesn't work.....
I'm using it successfully. It is different than jb. Like double space puts the period at the end of a sentence. Jb puts the double space after the period.

I always use Swype on every device I have on every rom I use (including the latest 4.2.1 CM10.1) and had no problems whatsoever..
Sign up for SwiftKey's VIP program, and you can then beta test their Flow keyboard, which is just the best keyboard app.
Works great. Thanks!

Write without taking finger away

Somewhere i read that in 4.2.1 there was implemented a feature for writing without taking finger away in stock keyboard. In keyboard settings the feature seems to be enabled, but actually it does not work, and i cannot figure out why. Any suggestions?

Not sure why it isn't working but try out this keyboard and see what you think: http://www.swiftkey.net/flow/
Hmm, it should just work. Try clearing the data in the app? (I believe it's just called android keyboard in the "all" tab of application manager)

Thank you for advice. However, I'm interested in making stock things work.

Sorry, i found what the problem is. My system language is different from English, so it didn't work for English keyboard, had to uncheck use system language in keyboard settings and add English keyboard. After this everything works. Stupid of me, lol

Can't disable S Voice double press to open?

Hi there, I'm currently running the Ripper ROM v.9 - great rom btw
But I'm having a minor issue/bug.
When I go in the S Voice settings and disable that double pressing the home button opens S Voice nothing happens .
So basically when the check box is unchecked, S Voice still opens up when I double press the home key even though i turned it of.
I wanted to see if any of you good people are having the same problem or even a fix.

Thank you for your input but I have already tried this before and it only creates an ugly lag where the phone tries to open S voice for a split second before getting killed.
So the issue stands but I'm suspecting it's related to my version of the rom and I hope everything will work fine after I make an update.
But if you have a solution please post it, you could always be helping someone.

Hi, are you tried to wipe data and cahe on settings/ application manager/ all/ S-Voice ?
S voice
You can run the 'make rom lite' package from RipperRom UpdateMe. This actually gets rid of S Voice totally!
I'm gonna flash ripper rom v10.0 now anyway. Hope this issue dissappears.
That lite thing would probably have worked though!

Had the same problem and it was because of jkay. If you're using it you'll have to buy jkay deluxe setting from the play store and then you'll find an option to disable the home button double click action.
Only if you're using jkay
