Has anyone ordered a Nexus 4 this week? According to T-Mobile's support docs, new Nexus 4 devices began shipping with JOP40G on February 11. If anyone gets a new Nexus 4 that ships with JOP40G on it, could you please get the JDQ39 from JOP40G OTA link for me? If you don't know how, I can help you with that. The link will allow me to put it in the first post of the N4 OTA sticky thread and mirror the file on randomphantasmagoria.com. Thanks!

Just wanted to bump this thread and see if anyone has a Nexus 4 coming soon? If so, could you look before applying any OTA updates and see what the firmware is? If it's JOP40G, please get the OTA file link. If you need help doing this, I can help. Thanks!

Thanks, but that thread doesn't have what I'm asking for. So far, nobody has come up with the OTA link that I need.
New Nexus 4 phones started shipping with 4.2.1/JOP40G on February 11. That build was never released over-the-air to older devices. The only way to get JOP40G is to get it on a new phone. So...I need someone with a new Nexus 4 (that comes pre-installed with JOP40G) to get the JOP40G -> JDQ39 OTA link for me once they take the phone out of the box, before they update.

OK!! First off, go into Settings - About Phone and tap repeatedly on the build number until it says "You are now a developer". Next, please note what it says under baseband version and send that to me.
Next, go under settings - developer options, and choose "take bug report". That will prepare and email a bug report to the email address of the Google account that is tied to the phone.
Next, once you get that bug report attached to the email, open it and search for ".zip" (without the quotes). You should see a URL that looks like "1234567890ab.signed-occam-JDQ39-from-JOP40G.12345678.zip" Send me that URL.
One other thing... After getting the URL (before you install the update), if you could reboot into the bootloader (hold volume down while powering the phone on) and tell me what the bootloader version is, I'd appreciate it.
So to recap, three pieces of information before your friend installs the update: baseband version, update URL and bootloader version.
Thanks a ton, man!

It was unknown until the soak test actually began whether the leaked update was the official update or not. When it was first leaked, there was no way to know whether or not it would take you off the actual upgrade path for the future. Even after Verizon posted preliminary info about the update with the same build number on their site, it was possible that they would change things and re-publish the page. Just because you jumped the gun and got lucky doesn't mean this is insignificant news for those of us who were patient.
Granted it's all moot now since this is in the past...

They feed soak test update to many users, not only those who signed for it. You just got in the pool.
Does this OTA break the same things that people reported on the leak? Camera issues, double tappin on keyboards, etc. ?

Not Sure, I haven't got the update. maybe someone will provide us a download link. So we don't have too wait for the OTA too pop up.
Thanks, didn't see it though. Seems like an important update, or why they want to push it out while the 4.4 is coming. BTW, the 4.4.1 is in the make. I hate google. If the update is as easy as the windows update, then no problem, but this updates are so hard, take so long time.

Does anyone know what update this is? System preferences doesn't have any updates available, but I woke up to it this morning. Running 4.4 rooted via slapmymoto and wondering if it's safe to take.

had to change your link to http. Otherwise there isn't very much info to go on. What phone do you have exactly? Moto x gsm, carrier version?
Edit: Ok, verizon version. I have exact same system build and kernel, except i have an extra "Verizon" in system version.
I would take the update if it was me. What could it hurt?

This is the link to the i537 Specifications page that has a link to the 4.3 update. However, when you click on the 4.3 update link it takes you to the MF3 update. So it seems like they're ready for the 4.3 update they just haven't released it yet.
There isn't a way for me to get this update other than to flash it if I am on Tmo using the i537, right?

ODIN requires your phone to be bootloader unlocked, it's complex and risky, plus you'll wipe everything on the phone.
Why not just borrow an AT&T sim from someone with an AT&T phone? I've done that few times in the past, just take about half an hour, mostly waiting for it to be downloaded.
Another option would be look for the Samsung Experience Center in Bestbuy, they can upgrade for you when it's ready, don't think the update is ready as of now.
