Gaming Case - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Is there anything like that for Note 2?
http://www.wynlabs.com/

not that I have seen of. Some of us are using the GameKlip Universal with a sixaxias controller.

I have seen that and it looks awesome. But its not practical - I don't want to carry Sixaxis controller everywhere I go.

Is there anything like that for our note i like it alot!

I use an iControlpad... it's the most portable and versatile game pad that I've found that can attach to the phone. It works as an external battery, too, so you can charge your phone off the game pads battery. They're about to release the iControlpad2, which will have a keyboard built in and has a much nicer design. Their website is icontrolpad.com.

Ya it will be released if that lazy ass developer will hurry up. It was supposed to be released 3 months ago and a hell of alot of people are pissed because they pledged ya back in september or october I believe. I'm sure happy I didnt...
All I did was get a ps controller, bought a controller case, got tetrax and combined them all together.

Honestly you may think it looks bad but it is the smallest mount that I can possibly use with a quality playstation controller.

iControlPad looks awesome. I don't really care about keyboard, but since first version is sold out and due to other non-keyboard improvements. I will wait. Are there any news about price of that thing?
I like your controller, but as I said my goal here is to have portable controller that I can take anywhere (put it into my pocket). And PS controller can't be that.

I like the carrying case for the PS3 controller. I should look for something like that. I went with the GameKlip and Clingo Neklit. Not as portable as what the OP is wanting, but it's universal.

It really depends on what you are playing also.
If you truely want to play n64 the correct way then you must have a ps3 controller with the sixaxis app. I dont see any better way to get that type of control and that type of quality any smaller.
For a while I was actually looking at mini p3 controller lol. Never really found any great ones though.

That was the big thing for me, too... I wanted something easily pocketable. I pledged on their kick starter for the 2nd one, so I got one coming once it's produced. They had delays because they ended up adding LEDs and had to make some design changes, but they're finally about to go into production and plan to start shipping in March. I think the price will be around $70.
I'd be willing to sell or trade my original one once I get the 2nd version... or maybe sooner as I haven't had time recently to use it much anyways.

How is this relevant to the HD2?
Behold!
amazing! very very nice
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET very retro ma man cool
Cool
this has got to be one of the most innovative accessories ever =) i have to ask: where can i get one? again, well done mate!
cheers
This one must be the one and only accessory we would need for our HD2. We should name it "How to turn your HD2 into HD7".
amazing :-D can you send me one?
found some in ebay, did a search and they're around 20 or so bucks from the uk or hong kong =)
a little curious though. the iphone's back surface is more "glossy" which imo works well with the plunger. given that the hd2's back is not the same, wonder if this will affect the plunger clinging on the surface...
I wonder what I will tell security or customs at the airport when they find this?
That's probably one of the longest crap for someone to sit through and thought that a plunger is the perfect novelty idea for a phone's kickstand
Very creative
OMG, this is iGreat!!!!
You can find it on Amazon for $6-7 a pop. It's sold by Perpetual Kid. It was originally designed for the iPhone but I bit the bullet and bought it to use for the HD2 and it works perfectly.
£4.99 incl P&P form Amazon UK, just ordered one thanks
That looks great!
How long does it stand?
Because I read on Amazon.co.uk the following review:
"But I haven't been able to make this thing work for periods longer than 5 minutes. Might be because I'm using it on an iPhone 4? Slightly disappointing and not that cheap. "
Does it fall off after 5 minutes? Or does it work for hours?
shouldnt it be white?
finally got one, found it being sold in a apple store quite near (5 bucks).
the good news: it does work on the hd2 despite my previous concern on the back surface not being as glossy as that of an iphone's
the bad news: if you were to stick the plunger towards the middle, expect it to pop out in like 5 or less minutes. must be the weight that's pulling down given the "angle". thus, i wouldn't recommend plugging it to give a 30' view. i plugged it towards the side giving it a 10'-15' view and it stayed on for like 2 hours (i think).

Thanks for the update Robson!
That makes things clear for me; I don't buy it. It's to dangerous if it falls down when I put it in a train or something. I don't want to take the risk. And I also don't want to make a profession of applying a iPlunger It should just work 100%, easy.
Sad to hear because it looked like a cool thing to buy for my HD2.

The dock is extremely expensive for its sparse functions and the game pronotion is going already without the need to buy anything. Great job, Sony.

I thought the same thing logseman...you still have to hook it up to a stereo so I don't really see too much of a point.

How much is it mate?
20 euro in Amazon.de, plus postage. It is stylish, but such a price is excessive.
You do get a charger with it. Still a bit expensive especially since it won't work when you use a case
i would have bought it if it had an HDMI out
I got the Multimedia Dock and I just love it
I'm tempted in the dock but there is no way on earth it's worth the money! cheapest i've seen it in the UK is £17.99 (from sites i've heard of)
It list eternal legacy but I don't see it in the store?

No, when you connect the Xplay to the dock you can use the phone speakers if you want.
I have the dock and I use it for having the Xplay as alarm clock, really useful.
I can see this being useful say if you're on a long journey and you can stick your phone in the dock and watch a movie or play a game (connect up a wiimote and you're sorted)
Tempted by this. Price however not so much

Heh yes, but my N64oid doesn't let me map the touch pads. Can't play Orcarina of time without the C buttons
For a lot of games it works to map some C buttons and use the touch screen for the less used c buttons. N64oid can display only the C buttons on the touch screen if you want (in the lower right corner even).

So that's about $30 US? Not bad considering the dock itself is $30 on Amazon in the US already. Guess I'll wait for this pack... it is coming to the States, right?
Was like $60ish here in Japan but I love docks and happy I got this one. Works great as an alarm
How are you guys handling the analog for n64oid.... Us it possible to map it to our analog pads?
Sorry if it seems random I was trying to quote the above quote but I'm new to this app haha.

I just started using it right now. I mapped the Dpad controls to the Dpad, just left the analog on screen.
c buttons are CL-Vol Up, CU-Vol Down, CR-Triangle, CD-Square
Z button is Select. everything else is the usual.
If this thing had speakers, it would be on a delivery van heading here.
But I'm not buying a pretty "charger".

Review: InfiniApps Magnet Car Mount

Got this a few days ago for $30 on ebay and love it. I honestly couldn't go with anything other than magnetic - it's so easy and convenient to just quickly sit your phone against the mount or pull it back for texting at a light, etc. There really isn't much to say since the concept is pretty simple. The suction base works well on my textured dash and the magnet grips well. I haven't used it on a race track or anything but I don't take corners or always accelerate super slow either and the phone never budges. It's also great that the dock works with any phone so if you share your car or get a new device, you don't have to change mounts or have more than one. The only way it could be improved is if it had wireless charging built in too (though for verizon versions this wouldn't help most). But the phones battery is good enough that it shouldn't need to be plugged in for any trips that aren't very long anyways.
Also, I recommend the free app "IntelliScreen" with this. The app makes it so the screen won't timeout when certain apps are up on the screen (and it does some other stuff too). I made it so the music and maps app don't timeout so that I don't have to constantly hit the screen button while driving to see and control things.

I'm not positive but when the phone is put around half an inch from it or so, it easily sticks to the mount. It's not strong enough where it's difficult to pull off, but I actually believe I could go to a race track and record video from my phone's camera while it is on the mount and not have any problems with it moving/falling. I had seen the imagnet at first on amazon and was going to get that, but this one doesn't look like it's an iphone accessory so I won't have people asking/thinking I have an iphone that I give rides to, if I don't put my phone on it.

I didn't think of the spen because I don't ever really use it. I just tried it out and it doesn't work where the magnet is. However, it's so quick to take it off the mount and imo it's a lot more convenient to write/draw on it in your hand, so it shouldn't be a problem for a lot of people if not most. Navigation and everything else still works though.
I will also get a picture of the phone on the mount tonight.

DIY Nexus 7 Portrait Dock

Currently in the planning phase, only a rough draft has been made for it to show what it may look like when finished, it is not scaled or optimized correctly yet. The end result might end up with 4x speakers instead of 2 but that also depends on what type of speakers I end up using "I am leaning on Logitech ones at the moment".
Specifications
LED Lighting in the Nexus sign
1x 3.5mm Headphone Jack Female (front)
2x USB (back)
1x Mini usb (back)
1x 3.5mm Headphone Jack Male (under where you put the tablet)
1x Micro USB (under where you put the tablet)
2x Speakers (Might end up making them Bluetooth speakers to kill off that extra audio jack)

How im gonna build it is that I am going to submit the final design once completed to a rabid prototyping company and have them 3d print the shell out for me, I then will add the electronics that I will salvage from cheap devices and solider them together inside the shell.
If anyone knows how I can get that soft rubberized feeling from the back of the tablet please let me know, id rather go with that type of finish.
"My friend just gave me an idea on how that I might also be able to add landscape mode without modifying the design". Ill have to do a little bit of extra planning later on how I am going to achieve this.

If you use something like that, might be wise to *not* spray it on the inside of the dock where your tablet goes in. It might cause some unwanted friction against the Nexus 7.
Along with the drip stuff there are quite a few spray paint type texture paints you could try. The local big box store should have a few different options

Very cool design. I will certainly be following this. Have you picked out the company that would be prototyping this for you? I have an idea that I wanted to do myself but I couldn't find a company to do it.
I like this idea a lot. What I was thinking would be perfect for a shop/garage setup. Hope this comes together for you.
http://www.zoomrp.com/
They make some impressive things.
Talked to a friend today about some design plans and he brought up the possibility of adding a few features such as making it wall mountable putting a rechargeable battery in it and a few other things not worth mentioning so I decided I am going to release the plans once completed so everyone else can build their own.
I'm doing this because of the amount of good feedback I have gotten from the 3d community I'm part of at deviantart.

Yeah, me too.
Hope it won't cost more than 50 bucks though...
Looks pretty good, kinda reminds me of the PhoneJoy Play. I don't like how they've completely ripped off the Xbox 360 controller's buttons though.
To be honest, I think I'd rather get a Gameklip and a Dualshock 3 as this could be used on PC too (not to mention the PS3), is probably more future-proof and has proven ergonomics, etc.

I'm sure it's going to be just fine, if it will allow devices up to 6.3 inches to be used with it.
Think about it, that's quite some weight, so it'll have to be able to handle it.
I caught wind of a $99 price tag as the MSRP. Dont know how true that is, but I hope it'll be about half that.

I would second the ps3 thing... Honestly now though, I went on craigslist and bought another xperia play (I used to have one) and keep that in my bag. The xperia play is smaller then any "good" controller are the market and I like that it doesnt kill my phone battery while I'm playing it. Got it for 80 bucks... hell of a deal imo.
I wouldn't expect to ever see this on the market as is. Those buttons are going to take it straight into litigation land from Microsoft.
That's retarded if they charge that much for this 360 pad clone. Most they should cost is 40 considering not all games on android will work on it. I'd rather spend the $60-100 on a more quality product such as the icontrolpad2 which has the gamepad ± keyboard plus better design imho.
