Hi good people,
I have problem with my sony xperia sp. I read many thread about this problem but I not found proper solution. I have not any sign of life on my xperia sp, only have LED red blinking light near earspeaker (led on the top of phone). I try "off" button, volume up + conect usb, volume down + conect usb,... This things not help me. I thinking to going to charge baterry direct with wires and then try to flash firmware with flashtool.
Can you give me a advice?
P.S. My SUS doesn't recognize phone, i try reistalling driver..
But nothing help.
Sorry on my poor english.
When I connect charger then red LED blinking on the top of phone and then stop.
Could you give us a photograph of you phone. The description you give with the leds does not sound like the SP because the leds are at the bottom of the phone
Hello, sorry if this question had been posted before. I just confusing with my Xperia Z1. It's just blank screen, no Sony logo, no boot animation, etc.
I've tried to hold power+vol up but nothing happen. When i put the charge on and i press the power+vol up, it vibrate three times and nothing happen.
What should i do with this?? I hope it's not hardware failure.
Thx for the answer and suggestion.
did you flash anything prior to it going like that?

When you hear the three times vibration then you shutting down your phone and after that the phone is turned off completely, then leave it under wall charger via USB or Dock for minimum 4 hours, if it do not turn on then you have to flash a new Firmware OR Repair via PC Companion. Download Official Sony PC Companion and repair your phone. Other way is to use Flashtool and download the latest FTF from Mega Collection and flash it. Then it should turn on.
hi
i have the same problem with my z1 xperia
the pc companion wont see my phone to preform any kind of repair
any ideas
thanks
if nothing is happening just the LED red blinks even when you put the device in the charge, its hard bricked and will be fixed just with opening the phone and relive it with test point ...
maybe this thread will help you:

If it's brick, no prob, let's begin
Requirements:
The latest Flash Tools version, the latest FTF file of your phone, or any FTF file you want
Plug your phone to AC charger for about one or two minutes, and if you see red LED, now your phone is OK
1) If your phone has more than 50 percent charges, you can unplug it
2) If it has less 50 percent, let it charge for about an hour or more till it reaches 70 percent
So, no matter the first way or second, after you unplug it, now you can now connect your phone via USB and flash it
If you do everything correctly and if nothing goes wrong, after flashing, you can use your phone without any problem
If you couldn't do it, inform me to help you more
Look at the micro sd slot. Is there a red stripe? Or white?
If red, it's a water damage

I had also a blinking light.. it was a broken accu.

It happened exactly the same with mine. I was on stock rom, and went to the swimming pool with it. But the stripe is white.
I cannot turn it on and only get the red light blinking when is plugged into the charger...
Help...

Try the hard brick fix (if you have warranty send to Sony instead). I doubt it'll do anything because it seems by your decription the hardware is damaged physically, but its worth a shot.

Drain your battery completely
By Pressing and holding volume up and power button for 15 second, no vibration dont worry just hold it for 15 seconds and forget your phone for 1-2 days
Get working charger and usb cable check it then connect charger to phone there should be red light
Leave your phone for 3-4 hours
Now disconnect your phone from charger
Again check usb cable and drivers in pc
Open flashtool and get stock ftf ready for flashing
Once the dialog box appears with phone's animation
press and hold just volume down button and connect your phone with pc and immediately Release volume down button as soon as dialogue box disappears
Then disconnect phone when instructed in flashtool and wait for 4-5 minutes
Now try to turn on the phone.
Main thing is to have patience
This should work as i have my phone in same hardbricked state twice and this brought life in my phone back..!
This fixed mine

I've had exactly the same problem, nothing but the blinking red light. I replaced the battery (around $6 on aliexpress) and the phone worked again!

I hope, your solution works for me too. I ordered a battery and waiting for delivering it. If it won't work, I'll write here to help someone like us who wants to order a new battery.
Edit:
After battery changing, the phone worked. I don't know why, but it had been locked and rebooted repeatedly. Then I resetted to the factory settings. After that, it has been started to run well.
Hello all,
I own a Z3 Compact since now 4 months, I bought it abroad, in Qatar and went back to Belgium after.
Overall, I'm very happy of it. Nothing to say.
Yesterday, the phone was almost full in battery, connected in bluetooth in the car... I tried to pick it up and turn it on, it wasn't working anymore. The screen stay black. I tried to turn it off, then on, impossible.
I tried to push the vol up and down then power button all together during 30 sec, nothing worked.
I tried to press the yellow button near the sim card, nothing helped.
I also tried to do all those combinations with the power plug connected, but even the power led is not showing up !
The phone seems to be turned off and I'm unable to turn it on again. I've read some forums and it looks like it's a common problems with Sony Xperia phones (ex: Link).
The date on the paper near the sim slot says 14W36 (Year 2014, Week 36).
I'm wondering if I should return the phone to Sony for warranty ?
If yes, do you think it will work even if the phone hasn't been bought in Belgium ?
Thanks
Tried Sony's FlashTool ?
Hi,
before I send it back, I would try Sony's Flashtool.
Search for "Sony flashtool"
Read carefully and good luck

Hello,
The phone doesn't even get recognized by any software on the PC.
Anyway, the phone will be returning in waranty tomorrow morning, I'm crossing my fingers.
Such problem makes me really wonder if these phone are worth it.
Hi,
The phone went back in warranty in a Sony repair center in Alsace (FR).
They replaced the motherboard, not the phone is working perfectly.
I hope I won't have the problem again.
So it's 1:19 AM and probably way to late to bother anyone with these questions (in my timezone),
But my Phone (a Sony Xperia T) randonly died. I was downloading an apk file on my computer so that I could later install it on my phone. Meanwhile I kept my phone plugged into my laptop too charge while I was working (last time I looked it was on 91%). So when the application finished downloading, I grab my phone but suddenly it's off... I have tried rebooting, vol up vol down while pressing power and all those combinations, but nothing worked. So desperately I come to phone heaven for help. What can I do? I want to let it checked at the phone shop next door tomorrow, but if there is a free solution I want to hear that first...
Is there any phone genius here that could help me out?
BTW The screen is just black and responds to nothing what I do. It also doesn't respond to the charger. WTF is going on!?!

Try holding volume up and power button until the phone vibrates 3 times, if it doesn't work you should try the Flashtool

Chances for a software glitch are really slim.... It might be the LCD lamp chip that got fried. While the screen is (supposedly) On hold a flashlight on the screen and see if there's any activity on the screen. If you can see something while the phone is held under strong light then it's a hardware chip. Alternatively you could try to reflash the FW. But from it's behavior it's hardware related.
