Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong section or anything. Is there a way to find out what libs are needed by an apk? I've been trying to use some Xperia apps eg. Conversations.apk and putting them into /system/app but after setting permissions it doesn't appear. I suspect this is because of missing libs but I have no idea. Help will be greatly appreciated

open titanium backup, long press your desired app, click explore.
there you can see the libs.....
then you can extract the libs from the apk, and copy to /system/lib
Thanks. I tried looking into conversations.apk and there was no lib folder Does anyone know how to make it work? Or does it have elements that only the Xperia can access? Thanks in advance

Click to collapse
i dont actually know whats the problem.....but i have observed that the apks protected by a signature by original developer don't decompile by apkManager unless you rename them and then try to decompile........so you can try renaming and then decompiling the launcher app
Can anybody describe me how to decompile this apk? I was trying with apktool and apkmultitool with no luck..
You should be able to use winrar. If your wanting to modify files, just pull them out, modify, then drag and drop back into the winrar window to replace the existing ones.

No, it's more complicated than that. If you want to do any. Xml editing you need apktool.
There is enough information about this in the apktool thread in the general android hacking and software section

hello Guys hope you can help me with an Problem:
I wanted to change the Colors of the Icons in the Status Bar so i copied over systemUI.APK to my PC via ES-Data Explorer.
I extracted the ZIP and Coloreed the Logos (Didnt change anything just Colored)
then i got 2 Framework APK ( com.htc.resources.APK and framework-res-htc.APK) and used this APK TOOL: Apktool if xxxx.APK (the two apks from framework)
then i decompiled the SystemUI.APK with APK Tool and replaced the ICONS (which i edited before from an usual extracted APK)
now when i want to compile it again it gives me an error at every Icon which i edited.
Hope you can help me, It worked on my samsung galaxy s2 though.
Ah And not to forget: Of Course im S-OFF and Rooted.
