NOTE: Sorry guys. I've been really busy at work so the quality of articles/videos is suffering I know...
The much anticipated Google Wireless Charging Orb is now available for purchase (model LG WCP-400). It costs $59.99 plus shipping and is available on the Google Play store.
The power supply outputs 5V at 1.8 amps. Output to the device being charged is 1 amp.
You can easily adapt this for use in a vehicle. Check out my install...
With it's magnetic base, it seems like a good choice for any QI enabled device. It worked with no problems on our Galaxy Note 2.
How well does it hold to bumps and things?
Do you need the thing you put behind your battery?

The case? No. Actually took it off. I never liked that case. Just ordered a Trident case.

Did you have to do anything special to the phone, to get it to charge wirelessly? Just wondering so I can go ahead and order that charger. And I'm wondering if you put that in a NOTE 2 charger you'll get 2.1 amps out. Which is not that much more then the 1.8 you spoke of.

There are other videos of the QI receiver pad being put in.
It does require one no matter what version you have.

Found it at T mobile. Kind of thick for a TPU type case. I'm sure it does provide more protection though.

Pretty sure QI chargers create an electromagnetic field.
If you just have the receiver pad out, it will try to center itself up to the electromagnetic field in any of the chargers.

Wow that is an awesome mode and car :good:
I was thinking of putting mine up on the dash just because my car pretty much has a perfect spot for it, do you think it would fall off if I took some hard corners? I just don't want my phone to go flying when I find some nice backroads, especially when I have a window open....

I lost a blue tooth headset I left on the dash once lol. Flew right out the window. Only set it down to get gas.
What do you drive? Under heavy breaking it would most likely fall off. Probably not rated as one of the safest things to do.

The tab has magnets on the top right and bottom right corners. If you bring a magnet in contact with those on the tab, the screen will turn off, and removing it will turn the screen on.

Yeah HKSpeed I think your right, holding this for any period of time is going to strain your arms, and your gonna put it down any way.
I cant see how good this product is, why would you want them attatched?
Just pair them prop your tablet up with your stand or what ever, and play away?!
Make one for $5. And, yes, it does get quite uncomfortable. This isn't my design, think it was on Instructables.com. I think I'm gonna try to look into balancing it a little better.

Well supposedly the GameKlip is designed to put the devices weight in the controller's center of gravity, making it easy to hold and not uncomfortable. Definitely something I wanna try tho. Is that just a bunch of those bendable cable organizers?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
No, I formed it from 1/8" steel rod, and covered in heat shrink tubing. Took some tweaking, but it works great, aside from the fatigue. Dead trigger is awesome with the setup

Lol I'm too lazy to try that... I wouldn't think it be too hard to hold it since the N7 hardly weighs anything.

is there any good news for this gameklip ?
$15 is way too overpriced for a piece of plastic. That clip is worth $4 max. I built one of these out of a coat hanger and some shrinkwrap tubing for $1. IMO, the cable they are selling for $4 that connects the controller to the tablet in host mode is worth more than a plastic clip.

Well, just going off what I can see in the pic, it looks like 1/8" steel rod. Is pretty much trial and error when fitting these. Lots of measuring, bending, re -bending This one looks better than the one I made, primarily from the way it attaches to the ps3 controller. However, I can't tell how is attached to the n7

Now start gently to remove the copper stickers from the right side "near power button" that nexus use like GPS antenna and or GSM (really don't know), be very careful because it is very think and you can easily tear it.
After removed stick back to the new cover
After you removed from right side proceed same action on the left side.
Now start to remove the wireless charger, be careful because in this part the copper part is thinner than the antenna part.
Be careful may be a lot of small glasses.
Now stick the wireless charger to the new cover
Well done, now you have new back cover

The image doesn't show the NFC or wireless charging antennas, so it's not original. I wouldn't pay over $45 for one of these copies. I can buy them wholesale (about 10) for around $35 shipped from China, and that's only 10.

Tethered to the note 2 in the pic. But now I only use it via Bluetooth connectivity. It's amazing how much full sound with bass comes from one small speaker. The sound really fills the room. It sounds really excellent with ambient and acoustic tracks, while it handles full range tracks wonderfully as well. Full volume, and you get no distortion or any hint you're at the speaker's limit. Set me back 63$ at the Sprint store. Box says it plays 5 hours off a charge.

I have the HTC ONE and as awesome as the built in stereo speakers sound, I'm sure they don't have the punch that speaker has. I think I'd have to go for stereo external speakers not just the one. But he's right, the point of the matter is "built in" stereo speakers... OP is just suggesting an alternative for those who care to give it a try.

My problem with the Flip is the pin charger. Stupidest design move for a portable device. Has left me high and dry a couple times, and I sold it. Great sound for its size though. It is their only portable model with a pin type charger. I'd get the Charge for the right price. Also read good reviews on Cambridge's Oontz. Similar design style as the Flip. Fairly cheap on amazon, more so if you buy three.
