Hey!
I have seen many threads on the development sub-forum about the CoCore kernel.
I am currently using CoCore 4.1 (I still have stock 2.3.6 GB ROM).
I tried asking on the 4.1 CoCore thread, but realized that the thread is for development, thus not getting an answer there, so decided to post a question here.
What are the differences between all the versions (except the obvious GB vs JB ROMs)?
Thanks!

Regular 4.1 and mini are for I9070, and ones that have P in name are for I9070P. Mini have less governors, as I remember, and maybe do not have all stuff from non-mini.

Hello everyone,
I've a little question. After searching through the forum, I found 2 kernels (Quasar and Nova) but I don't think the work on GB (2.3.4). So, my question is simple: what kernel can be flashed over a rooted 2.3.4 official ROM?
Thank you in advance.
well... quasar kernel is for froyo [nova ROM] and nova kernel is for GB but only for cm7 which is 2.3.7...
I think Huexxx made a kernel but since I'm not using Zeus ROM I'm not sure, you should go to DEV section to take a look
Regards
There is non yet for stock GB. Except you extract the one from Zeus Rom and flash it to your phone. You only need android kitchen for this

is the stock ics without any bugs or buggie?, could we root it? i'm new to note
Right now stock ICS is dangerous, all of the released Samsung ICS ROMs have a kernel bug that might fry your Note completely
If you really want to try ICS, you have only 3 options:
- CM9
- Asylum
- ParanoidAndroid
Those are the only safe ICS ROMs (they are base on AOSP not Samsung TouchWiz)
You can wait a little longer for safe custom kernels to appear since the sources are just released today

The lastest "MaxFu_HydraCoreNirvana_n5.JBT.STD" kernel is it compatible with galaxy note on ICS Sotck ROM 4.0.4 ?
Or is only the older version "hydracore v7.6.2" ?
Thancks
(Sorry for my bad english).

Please read the first post in MaxFu's thread. Especially chapter 4. Technical Description.
But you are really sure what you want to do? New member, first post - so I guess not very experienced.
You should know and read about the possibility to brick your device with ICS 4.0.4 stock. Please be careful.
Or better: switch to one of the Custom Roms (GB, ICS or JB, or CM or...). These are safe, you'll get good instructions how to install and excellent Roms to play with.
I haven't seen any threads of roms mentioning the Galaxy Ace model S5830C, and I'd like to upgrade mine to a recent Android version(it's on Gingerbread, stock ROM).
Is it different of other models? Can I install the CM rom for the model S5830?If no, is there another way to upgrade my phone with another rom?

NO!
Don't try to flash any rom from GT-S5830 model or you'll kill your phone
Your section is GT-S5830i = C = M
To get root, cwm, to flash a stock firmware

There is a CM11 rom for Cooperve too
Hi,
I've used my Note 1 for quite a while now and have tested various custom ROMS on it. I now want to take it back to stock ROM and from what I can gather it should be pretty simple to accomplish. However I have a couple of concerns:
There are so many stock ROMS out there... How do I determine which one I should use? Does it matter or will all work?
I read in a comment somewhere that I should not "downgrade" to a ROMS with an earlier Android version. Is this true?
I am currently running Mokee version MK44.4-n7000-141219-RELEASE with Android version 4.4.4
Baseband version N7000XXLT3
Hope you can help!
Thanks!

You can flash whichever 4.1.2 ROM you prefer. Go to samsungupdates.com and flash via PC of mobile Odin. Read up on how to do it properly. Guides already exist.
