Hi everyone I'm Paul.
I'm new to this, I have an old broken Samsung finesse that I would like to have my file from it. The screen is broken, we I plug to the computer I can't see my file on it basically the phone don't even appear in the PC. I was thinking maybe I could get help with some payload that directly unlock the phone inside' makes it appear on the PC then I could see my file on it. Thank you.

I'm currently done making an alternative boot animation for CM7, but I just can't get it to show up on my phone.
Here is the .swf for what it is supposed to look like (unlooped)

I also attached the zip of what I have. If anyone could go through it and give me some pointers on how to make it work it would make my day.
Thanks.
Update: I changed the filenames to what I thought was correct. Still getting a black screen after the nexus logo. Phone boots fine though,
How did you zip the file?
You have to use a non compressed format...
I'll play with it, and see what I can do.

It's most likely compressed. I had no idea it wasn't supposed to be, makes sense though.
I'll do that and let you know.
It did the trick. Thanks.
Only thing is that it doesn't take up the whole screen. Back to the drawing board I guess.
Update: Thanks, managed to fix everything.
Great!
...I got distracted!

Hi folks. When I downloaded and updated the bios on a Toshiba Satellite p300 it froze. So killed power. Now wont load bios. To cut a long story short I need to reflash the bios from usb drive.
Can anyone help? As I have no clue. And google doesn't really help this time.

Anyone got any ideas?
Well you can try resetting using the CMOS battery if it's not permanently attached to the main board. Other then that I'm pretty sure if you search hard enough you will find your question...unless its not possible.
Thanks. Did try that. Found a long tutorial last night so eill give it a go and see.

Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way or an app to remotely take over the android phone (a medion P-4013 runing ics 4.0.4)) of my father-in-law.
And i don't mean browsing his files, I want to see and interact with his homescreens like you would do with teamviewer on a pc.
The reason i ask is that my father-in-law is new to android and i can't always understand what he means when he's explaining a "problem" with his phone.
Thanks

Hey all,
I have looked through the thread topics and haven't seen anything that resembles this issue.
My n7 will connect to the PC while in ptp mode but not mtp. I am on rasbeanjelly 4.2.2 with trinity kernel, not sure if that might play in but figured I'd add it. Has this issue come up before and what can be done to rectify it? Thanks.

I had the same issue today. Uninstalling the driver for adb and then plugging in my Nexus 7 seemed to fix it.
Check out WiFi File explorer. It is like a web based file server that runs on your tab.
Makes it so easy to transfer files and helps when doing cross device transfers. Load it up and access it with any browser to upload and download files.
Great for big stuff so you can go about your business while it transfers and it seems much faster then using the cable.
My tab only touches a PC connection once to root.

Also, if you don't want to keep installing and uninstalling drivers, you could just use the adb push/pull commands. I'd only do this is you're really desperate though, as it can be a pain to use them.

If u asking to get warez on ur phone its the wrong forum to look for.
If u got an Lumia 820 for Example u could put XAP Files from the Store on ur Micro SD Card and install it from there on the Phone. But u cant get any warez on it.
The Basic concept is similar to that of iOS.
Technically, it is possible for WP8 to have a file manager, but it is a pretty daunting task to implement one.
Hmm I might just make one once I have a WP8 device.
You can only read files from the SD card if you App is registered to be able to open the according file type. Otherwise they won't show up. Aside from that you can only read the Isolated Storage of your own App. So a general File Explorer like in Windows on the Desktop is not possible using the current APIs.
