Goodmorning people. After my upgrade to Jelly Bean with Retail EU rom i have 2 main issues with the phone
ISSUE N1
My phone does not fully charge. The charge stops at 98%. In order to charge it to full battery i must disconnect the phone from the charger, restart it (the battery goes to 97%) and then plug it to the charger again.
Any suggestions ? Is there any way to do a battery callibration ???
ISSUE N2
After my update i can not get into fastboot mode . I keep pressing POWER button and volume down but i never get 3 vibrations ... My bootloader is unlocked .
I would appreciate any help and suggestions . Thank you in advanced

For issue no. 2, do it this way.
1. Make sure the phone is turned on already (anywhere, but turned on).
2. Press power and vol down at the same time.
3. The LED will blink and it will reboot.
4. Once the first vibration occurred while rebooting, quickly remove your finger from the power button while keeping vol down pressed.
This should work, you will eventually master this.
As for no. 1 -- me and another friend who also used the retail EU ROM's were never able to get more than 24 hours battery life on it even with Google Now disabled, we both used the incremental OTA update.zip and both had issues with battery. But I would wait a week on testing that before you are sure on which boat you are at.

I imported mine from Germany, so it's using that version. On JB I just about get 1 day usage, on ICS I got much more. I don't get it. I keep brightness low, try not to use the screen much, use a black wallpaper, turn data off....but the screen still uses 75-85% battery with about 2 hours usage...this did not happen on ICS. (Google Now has always been off).

I am looking for some help trying to figure out why my battery performance is SO terrible on froyo.
quick history:
-I installed the release candidate of 2.2 right when it came out and was seeing massive battery drain, from 100% to 0% over the course of 3-4 hours of mostly idle usage. I tried several different kernels to no avail.
-Rolled back to 2.1 and have been staying with different IR kernels and having good luck with them, average usage nets me about 2 days of battery life
-Yesterday I went ahead and installed kang-o-rama .9 using FRF85, updated to the 4.06.00.12_7 radio and tried it for a bit. Once again I was having major battery drain issues, losing 15% or so per hour while idling or making calls. I started to think that the froyo radio was the cause of my issues as kang would have had a different kernel and OS version than I had tried before.
-I rolled back to my 2.1-1 build (ERE27) and am back to 2 days of battery life BUT I am still on the froyo radio.
I am unsure how to troubleshoot this further, can someone give me some tips or direction to figure this out? I really want to use 2.2 but I just can't seem to get it working
Did you wipe between installations?
First guess would be an app that you're using which works correctly on 2.1 and gets stuck / endless loop / other anomaly while keeping the phone awake.
Could be email sync on froyo
I wipe in between roms every time, and the battery drain was before setting up email push.
Maybe your battery is just not calibrated properly? Can't hurt to try this:
From an htc rep, cleaned up by rori:
The following steps should significantly extend the battery life on your phone.
1.) Please connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green, indicating the device is fully charged.
2.) Disconnect the phone from the charger, and power it off.
3.) Reconnect the phone to the charger with the phone powered off, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green.
4.) Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it on.
5.) Once the phone is powered completely on, power it off again and reconnect it to the charger until the notification LED is green.
6.) Disconnect the phone, power it on, and use it.
You need to use this sequence only once.
If the issue of battery life on our phone persists, I recommend you contact our HTC accessory department directly, by dialing 1-888-716-3594.

Does this make sense when it has worked fine on 2.1 before AND after switching to 2.2 (when it did not have good life)?

Won't hurt to try, will it?
Hi guys,
So here's my list of problems i have encountered with my recently purchased asus tf701t (4 weeks back)
1 - the docking station doesn't charge since day one (although it's AD02, but from the october release), always at 0% with or without the tablet attached.Nor does it charge the tablet when its attached to it, rather drains its battery.
Even left it charging over night.
2 - 3 days back , vol up key stopped working without any apparent physical damage.
so far have tried:
contacting asus customer support without any positive solution, all they could come up with was that i do a "whip data" which i did to no avail.
currently the rom is stock rom JB 4.3, with latest US firmware and isn't rooted.
The problem am facing is i can't ship it back since i bought it online and paid a large amount for it to be shipped to my country, so shipping it back isn't an option for me.
PS: while the dock is connected to the wall charger and if i go into fastboot mode (power+vol down), the blinking of the 3 icons is painfully slow as compared to when i remove the charging cable. Also the docking station shows that its charging but actually drains the tablets battery instead.
so here's what am thinking will rooting and changing the firmware from US to ww be of any help?
Is there anything that can be done to fix the charging issue + the vol up key issue ?
also is there any way i could perform a triple whip data or cold boot without my vol up key working?
Please help me guys..............
Sounds like a hardware fault to me - I don't think rooting or installing a custom rom will help at all unfortunately.

Good question! I'm struggling to think of a way to do it as the volume up acts as the execute button......
hum... seems like am in a fix here. Not what i had expected from my first android tablet experience tbh.
Hope we get a work around for my vol up key problem which apparently had no problems 3 days back.
Another thing i have noticed is after three consecutive "factory rests" ,docking station when attached to a wall charger along with table "falsely" shows charging of tablet (instead it still keeps draining it battery) when its screen is off and goes back to not charging sign for tablet battery when it's screen is switched back on.
Throughout this time, the tablet battery shows its charging which it isn't. Also when the docking station is connected to wall charger independently it's charging (orange blinking led) does not light up....!!!:crying:
Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem after the latest 4.3 update. My phone battery went to 7% and then suddenly to 0%, upon which it turned off. Now whenever I try to turn it on the red light flashes and whenever I try to turn it on whilst charging (because I don't think it charges if I just leave it plugged in), it just enters a reboot cycle, whereby it goes to the lock screen, shows the "Shutting Down" window and reboots. I have no clue how to fix this.
I don't really care about the phone at this point, but I do have some photos I want to keep from there...
Any ideas? The software hasn't been pampered with.
same here
hey, feeling with you.
I recently updated my Xperia T to 4.3.
While in 4.1.2 the "low battery" behavior was quite weird, as my T did not charge (no red LED), I was able to get it back to life by pressing and holding the power button for quite some time, lets say 5 min. or so, as it was loading then. This was independent from whether it was exhausted (blinking red LED) or "simply of"(not blinking but not charging anyways).
Through this whole power pressing procedure (I just wrapped the cord around the phone several times) the LED was red and the phone was charging, but it did not turn on. After the 5 min. I freed the T an hit the power button again. Now it was booting as expected and did not immediately go off again.
On 4.3 unfortunately this does not work anymore . The phone just tries to boot and enters the reboot cycle as you described (with the difference that it does shut down instead of reboot).
Now first I would like to know, if your T behaved like mine under 4.1.2 (guessing that was your last Version too). From what I've read I assume that wasn't really normal behavior. I think there must be something wrong with the hw, as my 4.1.2 was neither unlocked nor modified in any other way.
Second I would advise you boot into recovery and select boot into bootloader* (if you have installed one) or connect your T to your PC and boot into flashmode (power+vol.down I guess) as it might charges in there. The recovery worked for me, flashmode should work, but I never tried.
Finally I guess chances are good, that your device works totally normal if it gets charged again (just don't let it run out of energy again )
btw. does the Xperia T normally charge while it's powered off? Anyone has send his phone back on warranty because of charging problems?
good luck to you,
wk
*I am using this 4.3 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647459) atm, as I have root there. But the recovery is really buggy right now so it just restarts all the time. I'm not quite sure where the "boot into bootloader" option gets you ( never heard, that you could boot into bootloader on an xperia device) but the LED shines blue and the T charges and that's important right?
Yeah, my T would sometimes do that when the battery completely drained. I'd have to hold the button for a few minutes while the red light was on until it booted and started charging autonomously.
Now that doesn't work. It doesn't charge when it's off and when I connect it to the charger and turn it on, it restarts. Eventually though the battery drains completely and the old trick works again, but even when it manages to boot to the lock screen, it shows 0% battery again and restarts.
I've tried turning it on while holding the power+down button and charging. The green light came on and disappeared but it started rebooting again. Same with connecting it to my PC.
Can you remove the battery?
Same thing happens to mine, and i just remove battery, plug it without battery,it starts, then put the battery back on.
And it charges fine.

So I think you are facing the same issue as mine... the phone has no time to charge. So what I did was flash an OmniRom with only the SystemUI apk and launcher apk. The intention was to make the boot time shorter so that the battery will not go down by the time it boots. But it ended up causing a bootloop: it was constantly stuck in the bootanimation. And it does charge during the bootanimation. So I let it be like that for about 30 minutes, rebooted to recovery and flashed the stock rom. And all my data was safe. This is more like a fluke so try it and maybe it would work.
If you can disassemble it, then yes, you can do the battery thing. There is just one screw under the SIM flap. I didn't do it because my screw driver kit was borrowed.
The battery trick worked! Now it discharges really fast though.
5% in less than 5 minutes...

How do u recalibrate the battery?
Lately when i upgraded to 4.4.4 i noticed this annoying , disturbing problem with my battery . My moto X is stock, no root yet. First it went up and down spontaneously, like really crazy, while charging it appear to be at 65% while previously it was at 73% then i unplugged and plugged in again then it went to 73% again and didn't went fully charge, i have to turn off.
Any suggestions how to fix this ? btw i don't want to void the warranty though cause i want to return it to motorola for exchange when i get back there next summer. Many tks
Do a Full Battery Drain
Use your phone's battery till the point of phone shuting down.
Even after that try starting phone, as much times you can see the moto's boot logo.
After one point, the phone won't even show start screen, nor vibrate and may flash a green LED from its speaker.
Now connect your charger and charge your battery keeping your phone switched off, for about four hours.
And then check, how it works

Still cant fix it, please help
I've been having a similar problem with 4.4.4... This article helped me out http://www.androidpit.com/how-to-calibrate-the-battery-on-your-android-device but luckily I'm rooted so it was far easier to fix the problem. Good luck! Method number 2 looks promising for non-root users. Not sure about method 1 though.

Yup.. I hv tried all the above...and also tried connecting to laptop thru USB cable.. but absolutely nothing happening.. it's dead as a Brick
What did you do before
Nothing actually.. went to bed in the night and kept the phone aside.. morning it was off thought battery empty and kept for charging. But even after an hour I noticed it wasnt charging and I cudnt turn it on either..
maybe open back cover and see What happened?
replace battery or What?
or replace Screen?
have you done any system updates or opened auto update?
There was an ott update that day which got auto updated..
Mostly is that OTA hard bricked your device. Your device ran out of battery while installing it.
The mobile had enough battery and the update got fully installed over wifi. After that I hv used the phone too. In the night I went to sleep keeping the phone aside and morning this happened.
Maybe Another OTA came and bricked your device.
My Y9 Prime had recieved 2 updates in a row so I can confirm it is possible.
if that is the case I cannot help you but if it is battery bug(like Note 8 battery drained overnight and battery failed)you can try reconnect the battery or replace it but I am a noob of doing that
Do you have spare phones?
What happens when plugged to computer?
Ohh. 2 OTA updates....
No sound or anything Wen plugged to comp. It's still dead.. tried all combination.
then mostly 2ota bug or battery bug
if screen bug you will hear vibration
Ohh ok.. any solution for this...???
