hey guys,
I have one problem =) I installed custom rom on my phone - stock rom evolution 1.3. At first there were shutdown and reboot widget buttons but after I hide some of them (brightness and airplane mode) those two widgets disappeared and are not even displayed in quick pannel settings...
Why and how to get them back? =)
Thanks in advance!
ps. I hope you guys will understand what I just wrote =)
Change it !
Factory Reset your phone ...you will surely get it back
or else...the best thing is change your ROM

Hi I rooted my phone and my voicemail is now gone. Isearched and found the file to restore it but I dont know how to do that any help would be aprecciated thanx
I rooted and it made my Icon disappear. Are you sure this is not the case?
I got my icon back by booting into recovery and running the ?fix gui mismatches? or what ever that tool is. Took a long time, but when it was done and I rebooted, my icon was back.
BUT! The text under the icon is "com.core..."
anyone know how to fix that????
Credits goes to flipzmode,
http://geekfor.me/fixes/vanilla-lockscreen/
I you install his fix, you'll notice that the Menu with actions that pop out when you press Power button > 2 sec has bad images and bad string names:
Power Off, Silent Mode, Save to existing, Airplane Mode, HTC Corporation
instead of:
Power Off, Silent Mode, Vibration, Airplane Mode, Mobile Connection
I just fixed the GlobalActons (that menu) in android.policy.jar porting 2.03.405.3's GlobalActons.*.smali files to his base android.policy.jar.
Working fine for me on base rom 2.03.405.3
The update zip attached removes HTCLockScreen and replace android.policy.jar.
Pay attention that if you use HTC World Alarm, you will not be able to turn the alarm off!
DeskClock version removes HTC World Alarm and install DeskClock (Default Android Alarm).
Happy Flashing.

Where can I get such rom that is pre-rooted, and without A2SD?
cleaneclair (which i run) has this default, and i believe MJD has it as well.
why does this only work with deodexed roms?
not possible to make it work with non-deodexed?
I downloaded and flashed before reading anything.
No issues here as of yet, and still no idea of what this fix does hehe
I will complain if I get troubles.
Tyvm.
Hey guys. I got a question. How do we do the lockscreen like the Overcome Hermes ROM when we press the power button, the screen will like shut itself in a nice way just like the iPhone tweak OldTV. Anyway to do that? Thanks
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA Premium App
Isn't it an option under settings>Display>animations? Or somewhere like that...
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
negative. didnt have the settings
That depends on the ROM.
What ROM and version are you using?
hi, i got a question, maybe its stupid but i've tried searching and cant find it anywhere.
so my hermes 2.0.1 tab p1000 is under my Google account. and since i've bought the P7500, i'm trying to give the p1000 to my wife. made some google account for her.
the problem:
- i've reset to factory default, no luck (through settings)
- i've reset to factory default, usb format no lick (through settings)
- i've wiped through recovery CWM. still no luck
basically after all above, my programs are still there, my account is also there, and now my tab wont show the flight mode, and data mode when pressed power.. only show the overcome added menu (reboot, recovery, etc)
so any lights on this? should i reflash? i'm confused because all my stuffs is still there in the tab... and i want to clean it up.. hopefully without resorting to reflash.
I got a problem with my aunt's mobile ( galaxy s plus i9001 ), the problem is the home button is pressing spontaneously & it's very annoying , she can't access anything & it happen often when moving the mobile...
I don't know what the problem is , i searched everywhere for a solution but with no benefit... If some1 could tell me what to do? or if I can disable the home button completely...
the phone is rooted & i tried to install a new rom... also nothing changed...
Thanks in advance for any1 who could help...
Same here.
I didn't find a solution, but I figured out it happens only on 2G. When you're on WiFi or 3G, or data transfer is completely disabled - the problem is gone.

hello!
so this probably isn't needed anymore but for future google searches:
how to disable the home button for waking the phone:
i'm on cyanogen mod 10, i did a litle tinkering. mount system with some root explorer. then go to system/usr/keylayout
change permissions to the file "aries_keypad" to RW.
open that file in an text editor and delete "key 102 home wake" just to "key 102 home".
save the file, reboot your phone and voila! no more waking the phone from a faulty home button.
i couldn't find a screwdriver to disasemble the phone but u should definetly do that instead!
cheers!
ohh, and just wanna say thanx XDA!
Hi @shaadd0w , i don't know if you have found a solution, but look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38948474&postcount=2 Christopher83 released kernels for ICS and for JB with a new kernel module called Phantom Key Presses filter to avoid this behaviour (is an hardware issue, related to the antenna) no kernel for GB implements this module, so you have to install a ICS or JB rom. this module is also included in every 3.4 kernel for i9001. if you install a kernel with this module you have to enable home key filtering (by default it is disabled). you can easily manage all this settings with this app (it will work only if you have a kernel with this module) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265256, it is even on play store!
Sounds more like a manufacture problem. Take the phone apart. Or if its still under warranty (Who knows?) Flash stock and return.
Hi guys, i thought i would ask this finally as the problem i have is doing my head in lol.
Problem is this, when flashing mods i only seem to be able to have one active, if i try flash another mod its like it overwrites the previous one leaving me with no statusbar and navbar meaning im really friendly with the old pc companion now!
So lets say i flash center clock mod and reboot aafter flash....yay clock mod is there all is good, now i want to flash black status and nav bar mod as well....the phone doesnt like it, this happens with both cwm and twrp with clean installs and fresh roots each time, i even try flashing 2 or 3 mods at once and still get the "no status and nav bar" outcome. Im on 350fw with no update and locked bootloader.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
