How can I find out if my HTC HD7 from T-Mobile has the latest Wifi Drivers. Sometimes when I connect to Wifi Networks the Admin interface freezes up on the selection screen. Then after inactivity the phone will dim and can never undim. It will never even go totatly to sleep with the screen off. The screen just stays dim. It only happens when using Wifi. I have to pull the battery boot the phone and turn off Wifi quickly.Deleting the stored Wifi Passwords seems to help sometimes but eventually the problem returns. I know there are some WiFi driver cabs available for download but I'm not sure they will help or not. I want to know how can I confirm the driver version I currently have installed with the latest available driver version?
I'm currently on Windows 7.8. But I was having the issue on 7.5 also.
Here are my current settings from the about screen:
OS version: 7.10.8858.136
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51202.531
Hardware revision number: 0002

Hello to everyone!
I have a problem with the wifi on my Samsung Galaxy S I9000.
After I rooted the phone using CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVS-v4.1-CWM3RFS and after using Voodoo Control Plus and BLN control - Pro, when I open the wifi, it's show me Scanning for 3-4 seconds, it doesn't find any networks and after that, the wifi is shutting down.
I used the option Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset, but no resolvation.

Any advices?
Advice: Put a new ROM. Solved.
Its because youre on JVS go on a different firmware (JVT and up) and if it still doesnt work then go to your router and in the settings set lease to two weeks
Sorry, but I refuse to give this phone up yet as I love the size, weight, etc.
I unlocked this phone awhile back and through the software upgrades, the GPS stopped working (works maybe 2% of time)
Any idea's if I can reflash the ROM, drivers, firmware, etc. to try to get this GPS alive again?

I have had a couple of GPS issues, ususally when it get hot on my dash board or with dodgy weather normally a reboot fixes it. Its possible that you've accidently buggered up the GPS settings, a hard reset will fix that.
As for a flashable ROM or newer firmware that fixes things? there is 2103.12.5.2 firmware that should get downloaded automagically via zune but other than that (which did bugger all cept fix some audio clicking and keyboard lag issues) it does nothing else, be warned though, that is the firmware that will stop interop from being enabled via the old way, you will need to use heathcliffs newer method after installing it
there is no flashable ROM either.
Thx Dazza
A big thanks Dazza. You've been a tremendous help directly to me. I'd love to do a reset, but the most important part of the process is remembering what to do when as far as backups, unlocking etc. I have the "Internet Sharing" feature unlocked and I don't want to mess that up. Always the question of reward vs. risk.
Please help. This is the second time in 4 months my HTC One is having problems with WiFi. Out of the blue, the WiFi shows "error" or "turning on", briefly identifies near by wifi networks, but essentially doesn't connect to a network. The WiFi logo keeps flashing in the settings section, the On/Off is greyed out. Bluetooth is also affected.
I have done umpteen number of reboots, cache wipes and factory resets with no luck.
The first time I had this problem 4 months ago, it resolved by fluke after repeated factory resets!
This time, it's been a problem for more than 3 days.
The details of the phone are as below:
Android version: 4.4.3
HTC Sense version 6.0
Software number 6.07.1540.1
HTC SDK API level 6.25
Kernel version
3.4.10-g77e9ea0

Baseband version 4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L

Your wise advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
