Modding/hacking my xbox 360.

I've decided to take the plunge and could my 360. However there are alot of sites out there, and its very easy to get misguided.
Can anyone recommend a good sure for 360 modding? I want like the xda of xbox sites lol..i certainly cannot afford any mistakes on my 360. The wife is laid off and I can't afford another one.

Yea..it crossed my mind to wait, but I wasnt sure exactly how hard it was to screw up your xbox. I would still at least like to do some reading on it. Worst case scenario Ill wait until I get my college money next month to back me up in case something should go wrong

http://www.ixtreme.net.....I actually justed reflashed my xbox to Ixtreme LT 1.1 about 10 min. ago. The Jungleflasher Tutorial is very helpful.

Android. The theif.

Doesn't anyone find it odd that we are paying out huge sums of cash for a Linux based OS that is free to use?

Because the cost of the handset doesn't factor into it at all :face palms:

I mean they handed us a broken toy and we fixed it for them with no pay and they sold it back to us as an update, now we are fixing it up more. Hopefully when Android 114.6 rolls out some devs. will for a union of some kind and make some cash from big business instead of settling for the 2.99 that their brothers and sisters are downloading.

Next time put the bong down and think before posting.

Oh, no kidding, I had totally forgotten that hardware costs money somewhere on the road to neverland .
Compare prices for free vs paid OS on the same specs. Shouldn't there be a decent difference between the two?

You fail, pretty damn horribly when you buy computers specifically, I have bought every computer I have ever owned without an OS and it has been cheaper than one with it.

Ok we whatever, I just got an Android phone and I hate it so I'm gonna get something windows. This is my first experience with Linux on a handset and if the developers wanna get screwed let them, forming union isn't hard we did it where I work, well we joined one but it makes everything a dev does worth money. Good way to make a living.

But who is it that decides the devs have been screwed. Is it you? I think that honor goes to each individual who bought the phone. You don't get to determine that someone else has been screwed just because your panties are in a bunch over something related to your phone.

The cost of a non open source operating system on a phone is going to be so heavily subsidized, I'd be surprised if the additional cost was more than a couple of dollars/pounds/whatever. Bottom line is that you're just paying for the device whichever route you take.
Also consider how long android has been out, it is definitely the quickest maturing mobile platform around. Anyone remember the state wm was in at this age?
Edit: I think the developers would rather be "screwed" as you put it in order to bring about progress in a timely manner. That's what open source is all about!

First off, that's a toaster I want.
Second off, you're absolutely right. It's not about the money, it's about taking your phone to the next level and being able to say you were the one who got it there first. I and thousands of others have nothing but respect for these developers and a lot of us give them both props and donations for their work. I'm sure the donations are nice, but I doubt there are many devs on XDA who started writing ROMs and compiling kernels because they thought it would make them rich.
Don't understate the motivational power of random people coming into your thread to say "Your work is awesome, keep it up, and how cool would it be if it did this too?" For some people the respect is all they need, since genuine respect can't be bought, it can only be earned.

You'd expect to pay money for a computer with no OS wouldnt you...
Well the same goes in this case my guessing.
Id rather have 1000's of people thanking me for my work than a few £100 in the bank if i was a dev....

There are like what almost 3,000,000 people on this forum right? Well if you all just donated one dollar to me or your pocket change for the day that you throw in on the counter everyday i could become a multi millionaire in less that an hour! 1. Most of these members don't logon after they downloaded something, and most of those who do dont visit off topic
2. Bill Gates probably is a member here (this forum did start with just WinMo) but I don't think he feels generous. But still, if everyone did this you would make a few thousand.

He offered saw what all my nexus one could do with it being rooted and said he wanted his g1 to do the same it was an offer i couldnt refuse.

Its easy to say there are so many members on this website and how if each members donates 1$.
But the problems is :
1. They should have online money transfer account. i.e paypal.
2. Credit card is mostly needed.
3. Amount in there account.
4. Facility to transfer money from there account to your account. If both have paypal accounts is good but if one has alertpay and other paypal. its hard to transfer.
5. 1$ is ok but in that there are fees will have to be cut.
6. Finally the donors interest and willings for donation.
So taking these into consideration, there are very less ppl. Atleast in this website, atleast I what I know, even atleast what I believe.
But the amazing fact is, how that Wikipedia got 11 million dollars.

Idk if theres a thread on this, there probably is but i want a new phone. The last 6 months ive been using some Nokia with a green screen and it sucks. Ive already sold everything on ebay and tried those surverys... I think i made a grand total of 6 cents for 2 hours work and that just wont cut it. So if anyone has any secret way to make money now is the time to tell!!!!

Or go to craigslist and see if there are any quick labor gigs. or post some adds saying that you will do odd jobs for money. or sell more on ebay; ( i hate ebay though, it is too easy to get ripped off by the buyer)

I used swagbucks.. what you do: set up a a defult search engine, use it insted of google or whatever you use (its powered by google anyway)
you search, and eveyday you will at least once recieve points, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 50.. its random, (sometimes, people got up to 150, because they searched so much)
once you have collected enough points, you can exchange them for something, iPhones, iPods, iTunes monies etc.. I've got about 800 points, PM me if you want my account (only works for those in the US )
edit: just logged in- had 900 points, searched "what is this" randomly and got 50 points .. so anyone want this.. you can get amazon giftcards too you know

Anyone ever consider jumping ship to apple to end the crack flashing. I don't know if this is a problem only I deal with but every time I have an android phone, especially with the nexus, I feel compelled to flash sometimes multiple times a day. Think I have a problem

Blasphemy!!! I verbally and physically attack all friends who use and think iPhone's are superior to Android (good Android). I'm also a flashaholic...I've never considered jumping to iOS and never will...for me an iPhone is for old people who can't grasp technology and tween girls who think having an iPhone makes them "cool" lol.

Had Nexus devices/HTCs/etc. Sold it to get an iPhone 6 (to stop my addiction). One month later, I've just sold the iPhone and about to buy a Nexus 6
Don't get me wrong, Apple do some stuff brilliantly (Touch ID is awesome!) but I just use Google's services too much
