[Q] Razr Flashed & Rooted to Page Plus, Removed and re-added - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

ok the screen on my RAZR went dark for a few days. i guess the battery died and when i tried to turn it back on, the screen wouldnt work. i did an ESN change, waited a few days maybe a week, and the screen started working again. all seems well, i havent had any more issues with the screen and so i wanted to put it back on Page Plus. and so my question is how do i reprogram it to Page Plus. *22880 or is there another method another way to get it done or will i have to get it re-flashed ?

This is the wrong section. This section is about the RAZR i, not the RAZR.

xperia screen stopped working

hey
i have been using my xperia for 7 months now, but 2 days ago my screen just stopped working. the phone still works, only the screen doesn't display anything. i know its working because my alarm still goes off. and it vibrates when i start it up. i tried soft reseting, hard reset, update to a different custom rom. so im kinda stuck here, hehe.
any help?
thnx
Hi.
Realise this is quite an old thread but, incase you haven't found a fix; this has happened to my X1 twice now. The first time, I sent it off repair but forgot to put the ROM back to the factory one so they told me it wasn't covered. Anyway, I got it back and to my delight...it just worked!
In summary, the fix for me has been to leave the battery out the phone for a long time. On the second occasion it was about a week before it started working again but it did work. Hope you got yours sorted.

CM 5.0.8: Froze on shutdown, now won't boot

Hey everyone,
I've been lurking here since I first got my G1 about a year ago, and so far have been able to find all the answers I've needed by the methods you all prefer (searching, scanning through threads, etc). This time, however, I think I should probably just ask directly.
I spent most of the last week on a vacation in Mexico. APNs were shut off by Quick Settings, and although the phone was on for most of the week I scarcely used it. Yesterday, I shut it off (or so I thought) as we were standing in line to board the plane, slipped it in my pocket, and forgot about it.
When we touched down, I pulled it back out to find that it had frozen on the "Powering off" screen. I forced it to reboot (End-Menu-Call) and got it to a power source as quickly as I could since sitting in my pocket with the display on for the duration of a 2 hour flight had pretty well killed the battery, but since then I haven't been able to get it to boot past the G1 logo.
It will boot into my bootloader (Amon-Ra 1.7.0), but nothing I do there seems to help, including re-flashing the CM 5.0.8 zip. I've avoided wiping to this point, just in case what's there can be salvaged (though at this point I'm not so hopeful).
Does anyone have any idea what may have happened or what a solution might look like?
Thanks,
Ryan

[Q] Capy tat thinks it's christ

Sorry for the bad title
Hi everyone, yes I'm a nood and yes I've read all the posts (I think) or at least I have not come accross my problem, sorry if this is long but I'll try and make it understandable.
I have a captivate 10.11 locked to rogers, Loved the phone, One day being past 40 and not being able to remember my name sometimes, I told my Brother don't let me get in the pool with my phone on, go in the house come outside and sit for a minute then get in the pool ...arrrg! I noticed right away and took the phone off removed the battery, dried the phone best I could. threw it in a bag of rice and left it in the sun for about 2 days. I put the battery back in and yeah!! the phone worked ..... for 1 day no problems. I get up the next morning and I turn it on but I can't slide to unlock??? So I remove the battery, when I put the battery back in, it doesn't go past the I896 Samsung screen no matter how long I leave it?
(This is where the title comes in) I start to read the forums here and figured well I have nothing to loose, I can get my phone to go into download no problem, so I load the odin one click on it "I897UCJF6-final-OCD-REV0" now I'm stuck at the AT&T screen, so I play with all button combinations I have read about, but nothing I do will get me into the recovery menu ?? Low and behold after 3 days of playing I get life, the 3rd day I figured "well I may as well turf this" I turn it on and after a minute I get the little android guy with some yellow text and then it goes back to AT&T then loads the home screen??? I'm thinking woo hoo I get the home screen I'm able to put my sim back in and SD and I'm able to make the phone work. So I'm thinking I'd like to have the Apps that come with Rogers so I think, well I'll load the rogers stock rom. Now I'm stuck again at the I896 screen.
Sorry for being long in the explanation, But I've gotten the odin 1 click to work 2 times and the second time I rooted the phone and loaded the rogers rom through rom manager, I got all working perfect but after 2 days it froze again at the slide to unlock screen??? Remove the battery and again I'm at the boot I896.
Can someone tell me if
1. water damage could have this affect? (the slide to unlock freezes or screen not responding to touch after a couple days) ?
2. can a rom take 3 days before it loads? the odin 1 click always seems to come to life after 3 days of playing with it the rogers rom doesn't? When it's stuck at the boot I896 or AT&T the soft keys seem to work (meaning I run my finger over them and they dim) ??
I'm sorry if I missed a similar post but I've been reading for weeks now ? Any help at all would be appreciated.
Sounds like a classic case of water damage. probably internal moisture
check your stickers on your phone if they are white you can get a replacement no problem, if pink it going to be harder try this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073929
Ps. your title has nothing to do with the problem at all, it look like a joke. Next use a more appropriate title
As I bought it second hand I won't be able to return it. I'm just wondering if there is not a way to save it, because I can get into download mode everytime I try and it succeeds everytime it flashes ?
Well day 3 after loading the odin 1 click and I am back, I rooted and change the rom using rom manager, all seems to be working fine (I hope ) I will keep you posted if it locks up again ???
All is good after 4 days so I'm hopeing 3 times, a charm thanks to this forum I've saved my Cappy

[Q] Can't boot past AT&T World Phone screen

First things first, Hello everyone! I am a recurring lurker, rarely logged in and few posts to my name. I am not a complete newbie to flashing but I haven't gone so far to flash full custom roms with new modems and the like. I flashed my Captivate last year to the leaked Froyo build and then back to Eclair before the official update was released.
I hope I can get some help here, I've spent close to 6 hours working on this problem and nothing seems to be working.
Here is my current situation:
I broke my original Captivate last May. LCD broke, not the glass. I never bought the digitizer, instead opened a new line of service (starting a new business so I needed one anyway) and got the Infuse.
Anywho, I bought a phone for parts cheap on eBay and swapped the digitizer assemblies. Plugged it in and got the promising charging battery screen. Only problem is it doesn't actually change, kind of just frozen.
I can get into Download mode, tried using Odin One Click to Stock Eclair since the phone won't boot past the White AT&T Splash Screen. I've done a few different One Clicks with Odin and still can't get it past that screen.
I've done everything from rebooting my PC to switching USB ports.
Short of buying a new digitizer assembly new in the off chance my scavenged one was water-damaged or whatever, any suggestions?
I know that I'm supposed to have a fully charged battery, but it wouldn't charge while off before I tried even booting it up.
EDIT: I have also tried Odin 1.7 with the proper PDA .tar files as well. No luck, obviously. Every time I've tried flashing with Odin, it goes through the whole thing, and says it was successful. I'm really stumped right now.
Had same prob.. had to change digitizers 3 times 3rd times the charm..lol
Yeah, I realized that might be the issue. Just going to sell them off for parts it looks like. Put proceeds toward importing a Galaxy Note.

Galaxy SIII stuck in upload loop after software update

Hi all
I am not technical and am not really sure what to even call this issue, but have done numerous searches on this and other forums over a few weeks and am not able to find anything like it. I'm sure there must be, but because there is nothing onscreen to help identify the issue I don't know what to search for next.
I few weeks ago I got a message to upgrade the O/S. I didn't do it at work, as my reception there is pretty lousy. When I did do it I had good reception. When it had finished, it then wanted to install. I left it until the next day, when I was home again with a strong signal. It commenced installation but when it got to 91% it rebooted and started over again. This has been happening ever since and the only way to stop it is to remove the battery. I've tried leaving the battery out for several hours, draining it, and all the different kinds of reboots but nothing helps. I was able to get it into download mode, but then it got stuck in there. I was able to get it back to the other screen and don't know what to do now.
The only thing on the screen is a standing android guy with a blue polyhedron rotating in his belly, and an upload percentage. It always restarts at 91%.
I don't want to mess anything up, because this is a borrowed phone - after my previous two Nexus 4s chucked it in. I ended up having to send the first N4 back to Google and lost everything on the phone, but the other one has a lot of data I really want to keep, so I won't do that again.
Is anyone able to help me with this issue?
Altotude
