same issue & question here.
kernel : kowalski#100p3
rom : cm-10-20130208-UNOFFICIAL-p990 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2058231)
EDIT :
I'll reply to my own question... see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38113343&postcount=2415
Seems the wake lock is only happening when USB is connected, so there's no battery drain.

read the thread. This wakelock doesn't affect battery life.

Hey
I come from LG Optimus 4X HD and I have same wakelock.
I think it doesn't affect battery life but it will affect battery lifetime, because it's constantly charging battery.

possibly... but we still absolutely _need_ this wakelock to keep our phone from going into deep sleep when on USB.
Dunno about you, but I will gladly sacrifice some battery lifetime in exchange for a phone that will not BSOD when charging. So what if the battery dies a month sooner...

But this wakelock happens on AC power supply not on USB?! So this is or used to be our kernel problem.

[Q] Battery life

Hey
I've had my Mini for two months now and I've calibrated the battery at least 15 times and somehow I still get battery jumps (sometimes as high as 25% jumps)
Does anybody else have a problem with battery calibration??
Also, is it safe to leave the phone charging overnight or is there no charger protection in this phone??
Thanx

Thanx for your response, I'm noticing now that my battery's reporting wrong, I've tried 4 different battery tools and all of them report 4mV when they should report 4250mV (or something like that)
Is anybody else seeing this behavior??

Could you clarify this for me???.....'Cause I don't know what you're talking about
In my opinion too much calibration is not needed with liking battery
My problem is not due to excessive battery calibration, it's due to battery reporting errors, I keep seeing percentage jumps and the voltage is also wrongly displayed

Upgrade ROM maybe can solved that problem
And after installing new ROM calibrate again once!
I've had the same problem with 4 different ROMs (FroYo stock, GB stock, Andro-ID and CM7).
I'm starting to think that it's a physical battery problem

Battery drops!

Well, this is weird, I bought recently a i9000b guys, my old Galaxy Ace rusts in peace now... well, flashed it (took some long hours) and now i'm using CyanogenMod 10, but here's the probelm
It has been charging the entire night, then this morning I took it and went to take a breakfast, I've been chatting and stuff but it got laggy, so I decided to restart it (apparently with 72% of battery aprox), when i checked it again after the restart I saw 4% of battery. What? Is that possible? I must say that I haven't calibrated the battery, I tried to check if charging it with the phone off and had a very low battery level. What could it be? Battery Calibration? Rom? Kernel?
ROM: [ROM][LINARO][JDQ39E][22/05] **C-RoM Mix v22 *&* C-RoM v3** [ Stable & Fast... ] [
Kernel: Semaphore 2.9.0 (for i9000b)
Thanks
PS: I turned on again the phone and there was a 80%~ of battery
Do one thing might solve:
Switch off your phone
Rwmove battery
Press power button for 15-30 sec
Insert battery back and reboot
Let me know if it solves your issue

Done, let's see if doesn't happen again. Anyway, should I wipe the battery stats? I haven't yet...
I will be doing tests because it happened to me yesterday, I got a random shutdown and the battery was empty, so I'll be looking for that.
Any another solution is welcome, thanks anyway :good:

Can't it be the kernel?

Battery drain problems are usually kernel related, yeah. When I tried CM10.1 I noticed a hell of a lot of battery drain as well (then again, 3 year old 1500mAh battery, 3 year old SGS, can't expect miracles).
Try using any of the 4.2 kernels in the forums (Semaphore, Mackay, Devil, CyanCore). I've tried most of them (usually Semaphore) and they're all pretty good for getting that extra bit out.
Aonther option would be to switch rom. Some devs have made roms with pretty good battery life considering the extra ram consumption on JB.

Thanks, i'm on it, will change my rom to Mackay rom and kernel, sadly this kernels aren't usually updated, because I have a i9000b and there are not much kernels for this model. I'm going to install a Mackay kernel compiled for i9000b

You could try better battery stats or wakelock detector to see if there are any wakelocks but I dont see any. I mean it doesnt look like there is a drain of problem.
Also you are still running 4.1.2. I have better battery stats in 4.3

Battery draining fast

Hey everybody!
I've been using pac 4.4.4 for a while now and I've noticed (how couldn't I) that my battery is draining super fast. For example: I have 70%, I'll go out for a hour and leave my phone home. When I come back, the battery percistance is about 55%. It drains even faster when I'm using my phone active. Any solutions? I'm running PAC 4.4.4 with it's own kernel and L_Speed Mod 1.2 from xda ( can't remember devs name and too lazy to add a link, you might know it).
Thanks in advance.

I just tried this app called battery doctor and I must say that it is a life saver. You can get it for free on google play. It's awesome

some roms have 1 GHz bug that drain a lot of battery. Download CPU spy plus app from playsotre and check if it always stay at 1000 MHz (1 GHZ) or not. if it happens, reboot your phone with wifi off

Maybe try a different rom, like cm 11 or carbon. They might give you different results. If you really dont want to switch you could try out this mod call L Speed http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/tweak-l-speed-v1-0-02-02-2015-t3020138 I use it and it kinda improved my battery life and performance.

What's keeping my phone awake? (Screenshots)

I finally took the plunge and rooted. I've never had to in the past, but right now I'm trying to figure out what the hell is sucking up my battery.
Here's what I have so far: http://imgur.com/a/ki8bY
Having this scenario, what would you say chews away at my battery?
I think Spotify is at the top of the list because I was actually using it, so I don't think it is an issue. However, when I look at screen on time vs awake time, I see numerous occasions where the phone is awake without me using it.
That graph just shows us surface of the iceberg, use better battery stats
Or GSAM and/or Wakelock detector.
You would be getting a good estimate of what's eating your battery.

Mine is pretty good, stock 4.0.3+ElementalX kernel with default settings
i also have this issue its just android taking lots of battery and not letting the device sleep
I had the same issue, greenify and naptime solved it and i know drain 0.2% an hour overnight on 4. , Android's built in doze is still not good enough imo.

greenify root mode agressive doze eabled, naptime aggressive doze enabled. Not sure really of the benefit of having both as they seem to do the same thing but i saw better results using both, naptime doesn't mess with whatsapp but greenfiy would do so that leads me to believe they work differently.

Follow the instructions for Elemental X kernel tweaking and you should be getting between 6 to 10 hours of SOT time.

Thanks for the video.
However, I sort of agree with the first comment. You have a beast of a phone and you're underclocking it to achieve better battery life? Sounds strange :S
@Lancez What settings are you running on yours? Plain default as it comes out of the box?
I didn't bother with greenify anymore, I just enabled aggressive doze in the oneplus battery settings itself and it works similarly.

Nothing special, ElementalX kernel with default settings, didn't tweak or change anything in aroma installer. disabled touch boost from CPU tab in EXM app from play store, try it it's worth the little money.
