I have a stocked Razr-I Retail GB still ICS , not unlocked .
I am having problems trying to auto connect with my Motorola Bluetooth Headset . Tried turning the razr-i bluetooth button off and on but will not auto connect .
The only way to connect is to manual connect by going to the the phone bluetooth setting and clicking on the paired device .
Now, I noticed that if you reboot again , then the phone sometimes will auto connect again , just by flipping the BT headset , But the auto connect symptoms is not all the time . You have to reboot the phone a couple of times to get the auto connect BT working again .
This is driving me nuts .
Can anybody help me ?
Thx

I'm on stock retail JB EU and I use Motorola H17. I must admit that I never used BT Headset when I was on ICS. But since the headset works with JB without any defect or problem I suggest you to wait a while as the upgrade is on the way for GB retail too. The problem will be likely solved with solely upgrade.

Anyone else experience bluetooth connectivity issues on the new 4.2.2 firmware?
My car and BT headphones now take a lot longer to connect and disconnect to the phone compared to previous firmware.
In fact, the first time (after the update) i needed to manually connect to each deivce, almost like I had to remind the phone it was paired with them.
In comparison, my Nexus devices connect almost immediately on 4.2.2
Can anyone who is on 4.2.2 help test this?
Help confirm whether it is just me experiencing this or not. Thanks.
I have the same problem with my Mercedes BT System.
I connect my phone and lost my connection in 3-4min. After 10sec its connected again.
So my temporary work around was this:
1) Disconnect the Phone with my car
2) Clear Connetcion
3) Start new search and conntect the phone to BT
4) Didn´t allow the Mercedes BT to use my sms, contacts and so on.
With this it´s working if the BT System didn´t check my sms and contacts. But erverytime when I switch of the connection or car, I have to disallowed the BT System to check sms and contacts --- so this is only temporare and I hope for a better solution!
(Sry for my writen english - its bad )
My Bluetooth devices connected very quickly.
And no problems with sms and contact request?
Do you made a fullwipe?
My BMW simply won't pair with my XZ since updating to 4.2.2 - was working fine before on 4.1.2, but when I try to pair now, they recognise eachother, and I enter a code on the car to be verified on the phone, but after I enter the code on the phone, it all just freezes. The car sits there saying "Pairing...", but the phone thinks it's all been successful.
I have a bose audio system in my car, my XPERIA Z running PAC Rom - will pair, no audio or phone book exchange, My Dads Xperia z Works fine with stock rom. there is some issue I think with 4.2.2 maybe? I tried the Audio v19 and bluwtooth fix. NO LUCK!
Yes.. Having the same problem as well with Volvo's sensus multimedia system. It used to work fine.. Now it takes multiple tries to get it to connect since 4.2.2
I have the same problem.
I am having the same problem with the sbh25.
When i turn on the headphones my phone registers the pairing but no sound will be on. I have to manually turn the phone to speaker output then back to headphones for the music to stream through the bluetooth headset. This works first time 9/10 times. The other time i have to repeat the output step a couple of times for the music to be heard.
I had a couple of issues too with the latest 4.2.2. on my Kenwood system in the car.
This is terrible, clearly Sony did not thoroughly test the BT stack in this latest firmware.
I can honestly say, BT was pretty much working perfectly on 4.1.2 firmware. I may have to consider downgrading.
Thanks for everyones confirmation.
Hello,
I have GT-N7000 UK O2
Android version 4.1.2
Ever since the JB update, my bluetooth requires me to restart it almost daily for it to pair with my car.
Prior to the update I'd set my visibility to 'never timeout' and it connected fine every time. With no intervention from me.
Now I have to swipe down the alert bar click on the bluetooth toggle turn it on and off, then select cancel once the bluetooth pop up appears.
The bluetooth works fine after that but it is annoying to have to remember to do it everyday.
Is there anyway to fix this or is a rollback to ICS the only thing I can do?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
on JB if you turn the bluetooth on; it will be visible by only paired devices till you don't turn bluetooth off. So I don't think the problem is with the JB. unpair the car's device and pair it again and let the bluetooth be on.
Hello!
I bought an SBH20, paired with my XZ via NFC, listened to music, then disconnected the headset, using the NFC.
After a while, i tred to connect again via NFC but all i get is a 'connecting' message, BT turning on -white BT icon- but no real connection, therefore the BT turns off.
After several tries it finally connects, but it's not reliable this way.
I noticed, if i enter to settings(not turning anytihng on/off) and trying to connect (still using NFC), everything works fine: connects, disconnects perfectly, and handles the BT as it should.
I've reseted the headset, tried single and multi point modes aswell. Deleted the BT devices, then repaired, still got the problem.
Am i doing sth wrong? I want to connect and disconnect the headset with a simple touch, and not toggling the BT manually (NFC yeah...) Is this something, SBH20 is not compatible with?
(btw sony support says: "For subsequent connections between devices that have already been paired once, make sure that Bluetooth™ is turned on so that the devices can connect automatically." If it's a "must" , then what is the [email protected] use of the NFC??? Just to pair once???)
Please share your experiences! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading ( and sorry for my english)
I actually have the same problem using the SBH50. For me sometimes it connects perfectly fine, other times it doesn't and I have to go into bluetooth settings after which it seems to connect properly.
I have noticed that it also depends on how I disconnect it; if I remember to touch the headset to disconnect then next time when I try to connect I have more chance of it being successful. Also, when I try to connect I hold the headset aganist the phone even after the ‘connecting’ popup until I get the 'connected' popup.
These are just work-arounds which aren’t always 100% successful though so would be good to find out what the proper method is.

It is a real shame... In my case it's the opposite, if i touch the headset to disconnect, the next nfc-connect tends to be less successful.
(and i noticed that it also matters if i turn off the headset after disconnected, or not)
And what is really odd, that i don't have to do anything in the settings menu ( or bluetooth settings) just open it, and everything works like a charm...( all connect or disconnect tries are succesfull, no exception, even if i push the headset repeatedly to the pohone's back)
I'm not affraid to mod some system files, apps, maybe build.prop tweaks, but i don't know where to start. In bulild.prop there are only a few nfc related lines (tried to enable/disble those)
So i'm not alone...maybe even more people are in the same boat, trying to solve this.
Again; any related info is welcome
I also have a sbh50 but i normally disconnect by turning off the headset. I have set it in smartconnect to turn off bluetooth automatically when the connection shuts off but it doesnt always do that.
It reconnects with no issues when bluetooth is on and i turn the headset on again. I use the nfc tap only for the initial pairing.
The only issues I have is the google music skipping issue that i posted the other day and the gmail smart connect not working on the sbh50

Well, then we don't have the same issue. I tought i could use the nfc for connect/disconnect (i actually still think it is capable of that, just sony messed up sth)
Could you try to connect/disconnect and connect again with your devices, please
I'm really curious about this whole nfc story ( why does the headset have the chip/tag if it only works for initial pairing -its not a big deal to pair manually, especially that it has to be done just once-, and on the other hand: if i put nfc in the device, why not put in this functoin too- not a big deal: a proper working BT toggle, but it brings a tad more functionality-
I recently purchased a bluetooth headset (Audionic B-666), but I am unable to use it to its fullest.
Whenever I connect headset while my wifi is on, internet connection stops working. Chrome shows not connected to internet.
If I connect headset first and then connect wifi, headset disconnects.
Headset works fine with my falcon and laptop.
I am running fully stock 5.1.1. Updated to build 10.7.A.0.222.
I know it is a known bug. Is there any permanent solution to it? I have read on different forums that factory reset will fix it temporarily. Is there any way to fix it without returning the device?
Or my only chance is to flash a custom ROM?
Anyone?
Is there any fix to the Bluetooth not working issue for Nokia 7 plus running Android 9.0 ?
I've tried
wiping Bluetooth cache
Selecting don't optimize in Bluetooth settings
Installing Bluetooth scan apps
Nothing works
Phone was great when running ver 8.0 - now cannot connect at all to my Bluetooth speakers...
Can't rollback either as device is locked (datestamp incorrect) .
Thanks
Steevo
I have emailed Nokia and got a reply on the WiFi and Bluetooth issues. They replied with the following
In the meantime, we can suggest you a workaround in order to sort it out:
1.
- Please go to settings > network and internet > 3 dots on the top > reset network preferences. Keep in mind that this will erase all the Wi Fi passwords.
- After that, please do a Soft reset: Press the Power button and Volume UP button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, release them when you feel the phone vibrate and you see "Powered by Android" on the screen.
2. Check in safe mode:
- Press and hold the Power button.
- In the window that will appear on the screen, select and hold the "Power off" option.
- It will appear a new window called "Safe Mode". Then, press OK.
The device will restart in safe mode. An inscription about this will appear at the bottom left of the screen. After going into safe mode, use the device as usual. Check if the problem has disappeared. Remember that only preinstalled applications are available to you. If you want to go back to the normal mode, you just need to restart the device.
I haven't tried it as of yet, need time to do it.
The issues I have is sometimes going from home to work and visa versa the WiFi or BT will not automatically connect all the time.
Google destroyed Bluetooth on Android 9. I personally had no voice call functionality in my car as soon as my 6.1 plus updated to Pie. I've since returned it and am now rocking a 5yo LG stuck on Marshmallow... but BT calls work in the car.
Nothing you try to do will fix your problem until the issues are sorted in the core OS. Google need to pull their head out of their arse and get it sorted so manufacturers can push OTA. Nokia have lost me as a customer.
I am running pie with march update and bluetooth works fine in my car. Video calling, music plays without any issue.

This is the exact issue. It's been known by Google/OEMs for a while. It affects dual-SIM in most cases.

Bluetooth issue on my Nokia 7 plus fixed
I had an issue with Bluetooth after Android 9 upgrade.
I could connect to previously connected devices but my handset would not detect any Bluetooth devices. So, i was unable to connect.
Based on some of the comments here, i reset network, wifi, Bluetooth. Still didn't work. Then i reset app preferences and notifications. This worked like a charm. Now i don't have the problem anymore.
