[MOD] Silent Screen Capture

Hi everyone,
Update 03-April: Confirmed working, update.zip added.
Although I don't mind the screen capture sound a few people have asked for a silent version so the challenge was there. LG really don't want this stuff to be silent! In the screen capture app they also include logic to ensure the .wav file is not swapped out! Boy, it seems so unnecessary to go to such lengths.
Anyway, the enforced sound has been defeated!
No screen capture sound
Screen still flashes
Code removed, no code added
Install the zip below from ClockworkMod Recovery, all P990 2.2.2 roms.
Download: O2xNoCaptureSound-unsigned.zip
Remember the 'Thanks' button.

it's not ok for me.
I have install [MOD] Silent Video Camera and it's ok i have no start and end sound when o take a video,

Did you install in recovery? Any errors or messages?

yes in recovery mode on clockworldmod
my step:
pushing power and down sound for enter clockworldmod
install zip
change zip name from sd
install O2xNoCaptureSound-unsigned.zip
no error
reboot
test ko

where i can find rom number ?

Should work with that.
Try re-flashing in CWM - it may have been a bad flash??
If you do that, then use the CWM menu to copy the recovery.log to SD card then attach it here if you like, I will have a look at it.

Hmm... odd. All looks okay.
I'm not sure why it's not working. I'm using CM now so can't verify.
Can anybody else verify it's working on the same ROM as above?

[MOD] Battery Percentage Mod - alternative version

Hello,
I have made some modifications to MaliciousKen's mod of the battery percentage for stock rom:
Changes:
- the main change is to show the percentage even during charging; I based on MaliciousKen's graphic files and just made some changes in the xml
- based on v10d stock rom's framework-res.apk
- retain music notification in the status bar (i.e. same as stock version, you can disable it in Music's setting; there seems no problem in v10d version on this)
This is my first time modifying an apk! Please have a try and let me know if there is any problem

No. This version is for stock ROM.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS !!
If you will make this mistake, do a backup first. In case you don't ,you must flash a new rom.
Just a warning, maybe you have anything else to do these days.

Sorry if it has caused trouble. Now I have uploaded another one based on MaliciousKen's version directly. So hopefully this should work for v10a/b/c.
Do make a backup (at least copy out your original framework-res.apk) before you try.

You don't need to flash a new rom, just install MaliciousKen's version. That worked for me.

hmm.... I did try before posting these files. I only have v10a and v10d stock rom and the above two mods work fine on my phone, so I'm running out of ideas now.
However, if either of the above works for anyone, please kindly let me know.
As said, it's the first time I modified an apk file, so when I found it successful (on my phone), I'm so excited to share here. Too bad if it only works on my phone

I have re-built the apks with another method and tested ok. Please have a try if you have time

which xml file should I edit in order to build a working apk ?
I tried to modify the stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
and I have also put the image file in correct place..
using APKmanager to compile and sign ...
I just got boot loop afterall -__-
Anything I have missed ?

the 1st xml is for the normal display of the icon while the other one is during charging (animation)
i used apktool 1.3.1
(note the latest apktool is 1.3.2 but this one appears buggy, i also had the boot loop with it)

Hi friends, as maclaw released the beta 4, I thought I would try something new. As everyone's busy here and I had some time in my hands, I ported the MIUI V4 ROM with base as MACLAW'S CM9.
Working:
boot
GSM (phone/messages/GPRS/EDGE/3G)
Wifi
Bluetooth
HW acceleration (full)
Sound
Headphones
GPS
All sensors (proximity, roration etc)
Market (now you can download all apps available for Galaxy mini with GB)
Fixed animations (now it looks so good)
Facebook sync
Buttons backlight
BLN support
GMail fully works
Browser fully works
ICS keyboard
Games - works as smoothly as on Gingerbread
YouTube(stuttering problem exists)
Deep sleep
Wifi signal indicator.
Annoying problems:-
Flicker(Screen not updating as fast as it should)
Video acceleration
THIS ROM IS BASED ON MACLAW'S CM9 SO IT'LL HAVE THE SAME ISSUES OF HIS ROM.
How to Flash ROM :
Download and copy the zip file downloaded to SD Card
Reboot to Recovery Mode
Select Wipe data and cache
Select install zip from sd card
Select choose zip from sd card
Select the zip file downloaded
Select Yes - Install update
Wait till the Installation is finish
Select Wipe data and cache
Select Wipe cache partition
Select reboot system now

A couple of days ago Qualcomm released the Adreno 200 driver for ICS, as this is the GPU used by the Mini it might help resolve the stuttering issues:

Sorry bro but 4shared allowed resumable upload so I uploaded on it. If someone can create mirrors, I don't have problem with it. My upload speed is only 13KB/s so its a pain to upload large files.

You can't flash custom roms on stock recovery. You need cwm.. Download the latest cwm by squad. Should be in zip format. Move it to the root of your sdcard. Boot to stock recovery. Choose install/apply update, look for the cwm zip, confirm install. Reboot recovery and you're good to go.. You can flash this rom or any other custom rom.. But remember, you must at least have GB 2.3.4 to flash custom roms..

used deodex patch than flashed 2w mod, working ok, one weird thing happened when i flashed deodex patch, my su disappeared, have to re-installed it from recovery

Flashed 2way mode with CWM. nothing happened..
got a successful flash and everything. but no no new options in power off menu..

That script permanently replaces the system/framework with deodexed ones.. Only stock apps will be kept

well, i should quit flashing things on my phone when drinking.. cause i noticed today that i forgot to flash the deodexed framework.. hurra for me!

I only actually just tried 'shudown' today, phone just reboots. Shutdown does not work.

Sorry bro.. I decompiled and saw my fault
I'm using 4 way mod (which has a working shutdown) so i didn't notice that.
Just cleaned up the code it works now, please redownload 2way version.

Yes, but it will need framework editing,

This is a completely different port and all previous fixes will be invalid. And you will have to erase data and cache and dalvik-cache completely!
Do a factory wipe.
Flash this ROM.
ROM
Boot into the ROM.
Then, reboot into recovery and flash Gapps.
GApps
Boot into the ROM. Setup your Google Account.
Reboot into the recovery and flash this fix.

Yup. This was ported from the One. So expected to not work. But shouldn't be difficult to fix that.

But i was really surprised when i wanted to go to my clockworkmod and i saw a "Teamwin mod"-thing... It's not very kind to do some thing we didn't want...

The MIUI V5 Rom work very well. Unfortunately, there is the SD Card problem who cause a lot of ForceClose. But i'm sure you will get it work.

The recovery is built into the kernel. If you want me to post CWM, I shall post another boot.img. However, I do suggest you to try TWRP. It's much faster and easier.

Sorry @alnikki25k for a bit of a thread steal (its OK we're a team). You know this means. Sense 5.0 from the One is possible. Forget our Droid DNA port cause that ruined my phone (Sony are replacing it). I'll talk later on Hangouts in more depth cause I had a Sense 5.0 ROM that booted (stuck on the boot screen just like the original versions of yours and my MIUI builds, However Android being Android, ADB won't work...)

The storage maybe the services.jar problem.
In services.jar.out\smali\com\android\server the all filename start with MountService
I think we need patch some code from yuga
this services mount the usb storage

I was actually thinking about this as well. If we could get Sense 5 to work somehow, it would be fantastic! And go ahead and steal lol. I am working on mounting the storage now.
