Disappearance - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The music and the animation which initialize and are in internal storage have disappeared.
May I have someone, although it wants?

[APP] New leaked Music Player v3.0.336

Works MUCH better than the previous version. I'm getting no force closes or weird behavior anymore. The UI is also cleaned up quite a bit.
I removed the previous version and pushed it to /system/app/
New link:

Wow, solid upgrade from the previous version. I only miss the ability to delete files. We're never satisfied, are we?
Could you post the apk?
I'm getting a 403 when clicking the link

Same here, can't down load from those links anymore.
OP updated with fresh link.
I also have the camera (which kinda works) and the Gallery/Clock (which don't work at all).
works great! thanks!

Has anyone gotten the music app to sync with their Google account?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
Looks great; unable to synch, but I now at least have the repeat/shuffle options I used to have, and the UI has been refreshed nicely.

When you install you get 2 music apps.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Anyone tried uninstalling it yet? I guess it leaves no trace? Just got worried as it said "upgrading this system app" when I was installing it! Want to make sure I can get back to stock if needs be
It just updates the original music app. If you want to get rid of it you can go into manage apps and uninstall the update just like all the other system apps.
Thanks just wanted to check before I try it

Mediaserver

Hello,
I was looking for what uses the most of my battery, and of course it was the screen, but I also found this media center, and I have no idea what this is, or what is does. Can someone explain it to me?
Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app
That is just looking through your system for media, eg photos videos images etc
It normally does that for a few days after a flash. It will eventually calm down a bit.
Hmm strange because I haven't flashed my phone, just have it for a week or so
Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app
hey!
there is no solution for this everyone is inveting somthing but nothing works for most of ppl lol
+ everything about corrupted media file is a lie i totaly had no media files on phone and its still popping up i dunno wth should i do! lol
if you found a solution a real one dont hesitate telling me please!
Get rid of System Sounds (touch, key tones) and any app that uses your Album pics in it's widget, Top Contacts etc.
The sound effects engine also uses media server, so if you have keyboard sounds etc turned on that we'll do it

Hiding pictures app like vaulty?

Hello.
I know that kitkat implemented something about only letting the certain app to gain access to the folder it's using or something like that. So applications like vaulty doesn't work anymore. Dunno why they even made it like that. It worked perfect on JB. Why change something wich is working.
But, are there any apps or ways of hiding pics/video and whatever nowadays on Kitkat firmware?

Well, not a super problem but sometimes i let the kids play some with the phone and they dont need to see everything in there, and their mom agrees with that
Vaulty was really great and easy to use.

If you are rooted you can use Foldermount to fix the sd card limitations in kitkat! And hide it pro(audiomanager) works fine for me! You can also try an multiple user account app!

Does it still work in kitkat to put a file called .nomedia in a folder to keep it from being shown in album and other such apps?

If you put a . before the foldername just like you said .nomedia will hide it from the album yes. Thats what ive used now. But im testing different apps. Applock seems good. Gonna try that foldermount aswell.

Hide It Pro have just a big issue to me, it move the pictures to his folder and is mess up with my stuff, I will prefer the pictures remain where they are.
AppsLock is very good but it missing the option to select single files, it just work for Apps, still good BTW.

Sony Album app showing thumbnails also?

Hi all, I noticed that since the last update, the Sony Album app is showing thumbnails as photos.
The thumbnails are very small files and thus very bad quality.
I already deleted the thumbnails several times via root browser but they keep showing up.
Also wipe app data or complete fresh install doesn't solve this.
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
Regards

Upgraded again and issue still solved, don't know what it was or how came but staying with the updated one unless it's showing thumbnails again!
