These apps are working well on my TnT lite 2.2.0 g Tablet and are highly recommended in their particular categories.

Homescreen Tool: Multicon

weatherbug fc'ed for me.
the XDA app force closes.
Miren Browser and ES File Explorer
All the apps mentioned are great.
Have any of you checked Miren Browser out yet? I discovered it a few days ago for my Droid X, and once I got tntlite working on this (now) amazing tablet, I installed Miren. Once of the nice things about Miren is that it lets you change your user agent to ipad. I was actually looking for something to change the user agent to Android, because that is what I am used to, but with Miren and the default Browser, I now have some nice viewing options.
I also cannot say enough about the ES File Explorer. I had always used Astro, but ES is amazing, especially if you are a Windows Home Server (WHS) user.
I have all of my music, movies and software on my WHS, and now with ES File Explored, I can easily copy and move files back and forth, and even backup my whole GTab and Droid-X onto my WHS, which itself backs up nightly, and will soon carbonite. IT also makes sideloading a snap, because I can download from my PC straight to my WHS software folder, and then install directly from the WHS.
Thanks,
Johnny
I thought it would be nice to compile a list of essential (WORKING) Apps and Games that a potential Gtab owner would want.
I see a lot of Angry Birds, Documents To Go, and Google Apps, but what are the other great tablet compatible apps out there?
Search, I created a thread on games a few days ago, in this forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855838
Fox News Radio app. Available from the market.
The emulators I've tried works...
TigerMame, psxdroid, and snesoid works. The others probably work too.
Rev3remote
I would recommend the XDA forum app. Its essential to any would be hacked Gtab owner.
My list includes...
Zeam - Great launcher
Fancy Widgets - Free weather/clock widget
TV Guide Mobile - See what's on TV and set reminders
TV.com - Decent TV viewing app
Dolphin Browser HD - Great browser. Set it to "Desktop" mode. No need to be mobile on the GTab
Google Books - My wife is using this...she loves it so far.
BuzzBox - Great RSS reader. I use it as a widget to show the latest news stories.
Fox News - 'nuff said....
Our Groceries - Shopping list sharing. Used on my Moto Droid, my wifes BB and the GTab. Seriously...we make less trips to the store now for those things you always seem to forget...
Mobile Andrio - Mario Brothers emulator. My 4yo won't leave this game alone. Plays it on the GTab even though he has it on the DS and Wii. Personally...I don't get it. The DS and Wii are made for this but at least it works on the GTab
XDA - Of course I have this!
Currently experimenting with...
doubleTwist
Yahoo Messenger + Video Add-on
Videos (movies) - Putting our movie collection on the GTab.
A good way of sharing apps is to create a public list on AppBrain.
And on that note; if you're not using AppBrain, you should be.
What are your top 10 favorite apps?
Please search and you will find a plethora of threads that have apps that work and are popular for the Gtab.

Dude lighten up, he's just asking for our opinions on the best apps, did you even read his post before spouting that?

What?
that must be the most awkward scanning.

I did do a search but I just wanted to know what people's favorites were so I can try them out. I only saw one extensive thread that was specific for the Gtab and that was only for apps and game that were either working or not working.

I'm running TNT Lite 3.1.4 (so darn stable that i nv bothered upgrading -> kudos to roebeet). I will not include any apps that come w the rom.

Yep, but it doesn't use an "account" like interface, so you have to send all of your requests again. Hopefully they'll fix that with an update.

Have you tried Dolphin HD? If so, any particular reason why you like Firefox better?
I'm still switching roms all the time...but here's a list in the order of frequency of use.
I guess I will update it when I can put some thought into them.

2. Words with friends
3. Amazon Appstore
4. Titanium Backup
5. Fruit Ninja
6. Angry Birds Rio
7. Dungeon Defender
8. Skype
9. Dropbox
10. Tank Hero

It wasn't my suggestion but I like firefox more than dolphin hd because of firefox sync and it has several popular addons from the desktop version. It doesn't support flash (yet) so if you want flash use dolphin hd (I just use the default browser when I need flash).

Haha i was thinking the exact same thing! Unless hes using it on a table and scanning items across the top. Like a grocery store checkout.
My 10
10 Apps I couldn't live without (but have, admittedly, in the past, before smartphones and tablets)
1. RepliGo Reader - I'm a grad student and read mountains of PDFs daily. This app has made my whole world different.
2. Springpad: Nothing can compare to it. It's free. It's versatile. It's simple with a lot of depth.
3. Drobox (and Titanium Media Sync - together they're great). Whole semester sync'd between my desktop, laptop, and tablet. I don't even take the laptop out anymore!
4. Business Calendar (hands down my favorite calendar app - both for the app and the widget). Stunning.
5. FeedR: people will disagree and I don't care. This is a great feed reader. The layout of the articles makes sense. The widget is phenomenal to have, and not annoying like some others.
6. Aldiko Ebook Reader - Great ebook reader. That's all.
7. mNote - One App that does 1 thing really well - minimalistic cloud text notes. Nice little reminders.
8. Titanium Backup (a swiss army knife for you tablet if used right).
9. QuickOffice: Thank you quick office working directly with and through dropbox, google docs, and my local folders.
I'm never not able to reach my stuff quickly or save my notes some place where I need them.
10. WinAmp (It really whips the llama's ass). You sync with winamp on my PC. I forgot about winamp. Still a great media player!!
Honorable Mentions:
* Miren Browser
* Skyfire Browser
* Just Pictures
* Rock media player
* Firefox Browser
* MobileNoterSE: Because I still need my onenote notebooks even in absence of my laptop for clinical outcome measures, reminders, and notes. Onenote is a powerhouse application. This is only on the list because there isn't anything else that reads my onenotes on a tablet.
I admittedly am not very consistent with my browsers. Miren is my fav, but sometimes firefox or skyfire just do something better. Didn't like dolphin for all the bells and whistles. Opera and OperaMini didn't do it for me either.
I'm not sure what happened but the native PDF Viewer that comes with the phone is no longer available on my device. I thought I may have accidentally just changed the default application for PDF's to the Amazon Kindle app so I tried resetting it's default apps. Even after doing that the PDF Viewer is not an option for me. Anyone know how I can get it back as I prefer it to the Kindle app. Thanks.
Cool...thanks for the help guys! :good:
Recently found the issuu.com website, but their android app wasn't working well on my devices so I was looking through google play and found magazines reader which was working on my tablet and phone but not on my nook, but after a few emails with the author we can run it on our nooks.
