Has anyone tried the Avante Qi Wireless Charging system for their Note II? I've seen things like this on eBay and now on Amazon ... there are no reviews. Not sure I want to pioneer this on my device but the convenience of wireless charging is quite tempting.
It's going to take ages to load your phone with 500-700maH. My 2 cents on this product.
And this is what amazon says:
5. Samsung Galaxy Note II (Purchase of a Qi wireless receiver is required)

The kernel limits wireless to 500maH on the Note 2.
That said, I use mine when I am at my desk and when at night when I sleep. It's easy for me to just drop it on the pad and not wake up my wife fumbling for a USB cable and it also reduces wear and tear on the USB port.
I've found it to be quite convenient, but will plug it in to an outlet if I need the quicker charging. It's nice to have a choice of either one.

So I have been doing a lot of looking and this is my first phone with Wireless/Qi charging. Here is what I found so far. What is everyones experience, favorites, and ones to avoid? Two of the main issues Ive seen are, how finicky is the charger on where you place the phone. And does it trickle charge. If it "turns off" at 100%, your phone will start to discharge and youll wake up at 90%.
LG-WCP-300 - seems a little small. Would love a slab type that I can just plop my phone down and hot worry it'll tip over because I put it too far to one side. It charges at 1.8 which is nice (I think per androidcentral, the power cord is 1.8, but the base drops it down to 1A, oh well)

Nokia DT-90 - some say you have to get it in that "sweet" spot, which is annoying when you are wanting to just put it down and go to sleep.

Panasonic Qi Charging Pad QE-TM101-K - doesnt trickle charge. So when it gets to 100...it turns off, then when your phone gets to ~95% it turns back on and then on and then off...and so on...no good. Although the size and ability to put it ANYWHERE and know itll start charging it perfect.

ZENS Wireless - "turns off after fully charged." so after it gets to 100%...itll turn off and Ill wake up with it at 90%??

I got the Nokia for my G2 based on all the reviews. No sweet spot needed so far. I just basically place the phone on the plate and it charges.
Went with the Nokia as well.Works fine.
I like the devices offered by TYLT - not only the QI charger due to its ability to serve as a table stand while charging the phone, but also the power plant and the USB connector cables are interesting. The design is nice, too. Has anyone recognized this brand and used their products?
Really like the Tylt Vu....been eyeing it forawhile, and may scoop one up.
I'm also interested in this: http://www.nokia.com/global/products/accessory/cr-200/ A little pricey but A LOT of functionality.
do you all charge your devices every night? all the old talk about not charging your device all the time so you don't "wear" out your battery. Is it actually better to have a charger that turns off and on? I liked the tylt charger too, thinking that or the nokia.

Just pulled the trigger on the TYLT VU, liked the idea of having it upright a little. I think the LG charges faster but Ill be charging overnight so no biggie. FYI...Nordstrom is $100 but from TYLT is $70!
dt-900 is $25 @ AT&T's store... if you have a premium corporate discount, drops another 50%.. Just got 2 for $25 shipped
I picked this one up, but now i'm unsure because it says there is a 1A output, doesn't that mean it will say it's slow charging? Love the idea of being able to charge on the go.

I want to buy a magnetic charger as it is a little hassle to always open the latch for the micro-usb port. Does anyone know if the micro-usb->magnetic adapters are as fast as normal charging? I got it yesterday and it seems to charge as fast as when connecting via USB normally. However the magnet is pretty weak so whenever moving the tablet it wants to come off by the weight of the usb-cable. It is best used laying on a flat surface.
actually I would prever a tiny magnetic adapter for QI so I can attack the magnetic and rely it on the pad and charge.
Nexus 7 and Samsung already Qi, I would charge all my devices Qi this way!

No, it won't; you can't even plug it in. iPhones are the only phones that have different charging plugs.
This is the charger you want:

It's the only car charger I've found that actually charges fast enough to maintain the phone's battery when the GPS navigation is on, plus it's way cheaper than anything you'll find in a brick & mortar store.
EDIT: I missed the fact that the car charger you posted has a detachable USB cable. I guess it would work if you use the USB cable that came with the phone, though you'll have to see how well it charges it when in use.

Agreed, your charger is certainly cheaper than others, but there are many chargers out there that can charge at a fast enough rate. I have a cheap Chinese dual-USB charger ($0.99) that works to charge during GPS navigation. My current charger (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0077PM3KG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) also charges while navigating too.. The key is to find one with at least 1A charge rate. Again, yours is certainly cheaper than my Scosche one, and it charges 2 devices at once...
I have a Maxx and use the Verizon quick charge car charger. Expensive comparatively when viewed next to the value chargers but the construction quality is among the best I have seen, the light can be handy when plugging in after dark, the ability to put on a nice shot of battery quickly during a commute can be quite handy.

I don't think wireless charging will be any faster no matter what 5v USB adaptor you use as the wireless pad will only put out a set current, but I used the adaptive fast charger that came with the phone and to give you a rough idea of it's speed it topped my Edge up from 24% to 97% in about 2 hours. Quick enough for me and way faster than my old Nexus 4 on wireless charging.
While we are on this subject, would it be harmful for the phone to be wirelessly charging and plugged charging simultaneously? Would it do nothing, charge even faster, or overheat and damage the phone? I dont plan on trying it, just curious.

I would imagine that once something is plugged into the USB port (charger, OTG or whatever) wireless charging would be disabled as a safety precaution. This has been the case on other devices and I assume the same would apply in this instance.
The new wireless charger from Samsung supports AFC (adaptive fast charging) and it works with the cable and power brick that came with it. Been confirmed online a few times and I can also confirm because it charged my phone from about 5% to 100% in under 2.5 hours. That being said it's still not as fast as just plugging into the wall.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using Tapatalk
Just so everyone knows how it works you can use either the charger that comes with the phone or in the box with the wireless charger. As far as it charging faster the way it works is 50% in 30 mins when connected physically to the wall. On the wireless charging pad it goes up 20% in 30 mins. Now the good thing about it is when the devices charging port goes out you can still charge your phone and it's faster then the old pad they used to use.

This makes little sense. If it supports fast charging, it supports fast charging. If it's "not as fast as just plugging into the wall," then it doesn't support fast charging.
Fast charging will get you from 5% to full in around an hour, not 2.5; which correlates with where wireless tech is right now. Because regardless of whether or not it can support the power input from a fast charging adapter, wireless chargers currently cannot utilize "fast charge" tech. The fastest wireless Qi chargers currently are 5V/1A chargers. That's as good as it gets right now and they're nowhere near fast charge spec.
So regardless of what you may have seen "confirmed" online, the Samsung charger isn't a fast charge device.
I am using a wireless charging and I would comment like "so far so good"
I think you should also try this. !!!

The charging pad for me is a convenience factor. The fact that the fast charging gets ours phones up to 100% in 1-2hours depending on who you listen too is already fantastic. I like the idea of just walking in my door at home and placing it on the pad. Who cares if it takes a little longer that plugged in fast charging. Enjoy the ability of just placing the phone on the pad when you get home and have things to get done right away. Can't believe so much negativity for a phone just released with no development yet such as custom ROMs and kernels to make a beast of a phone, a KILLER beast. Sorry, just too much negativity for me. I have owned every Samsung Galaxy all the way up to this Edge 128GB. Yeah, you can't remove the battery. Yeah, no SD card slot. But the Internal memory is so damn fast, I am no longer in that complaint department camp. As for people moaning that their rear glass magically broke all by itself...I have a hard time believing that. I bought a Spigen NeoHybrid case that covers the back with a nice rubberized well fitting cover. The edges of the case ar metal, so you still have that wonderful tactile feeling of a solid metal phone. Best Samsung phone to date, IMHO and once ROMs and custom recoveries come along, it can only get sweeter. In the meantime, I will get off my soapbox and enjoy a phone that far exceeds my S5 and happily wait for developers to do their magic. Patience is a virtue. Sorry for my rant if it offends those that expect perfection out of the box. Yes, it's a damn expensive phone. So are IPhones. And they had issues right out of the box and their OTA fixes caused worse problems. I rest my case.
EDIT: The help so far from users here in general have been fantastic and my hat off to thos that helped me deal with softbricking my phone from either initially using a root file that didn't work for our 925 models, to showing the way to use Kies to actually restore the full stock image, and to ZiDroid to actually give us the ability to at least have a working stock recovery screen instead of the dreaded black only screen after rooting. And I enjoy using apps that require rooting so as far as warranty issues goes, I don't really care. If I can Odin, Kies, smartswitch or whatever new stuff comes along, then I'm a happy camper. Other here just need to do a little reading and search before posting rants that have fixes already out there posted. Off soapbox again

Thanks sir. I have just ordered classic 2A charger and will plug it in wireless pad.
Can we take a minute and just appreciate having this ability built-in? Being able to keep my phone topped up by literally just setting it down on my desk is pretty awesome.
Mods please remove if my fanboy is leaking.
I ended up getting a Sony battery pack + wireless charger device from Verizon when I got my Edge (no doubt some will know what I'm talking about).
It's definitely chunkier than your typical wireless charging pad, but I get 3+ full phone charges from it before it has to be recharged itself (also has pass-through, so you can still use it to charge your phone while it's plugged in).
Build in wireless charging is definitely a great feature.

That's the one (or at least I think it is, there's always the possibility there's a newer model that I have - but it looks/functions the same).
Don't let the negative reviews sway you, a lot of people complain that it's hard to get it to work but I believe that's only because they didn't read the instructions. It states that once you hit the button (to active wireless charging on the pack) you have to place the phone on it pretty quickly - if you don't, it'll start charging and stop after a few seconds. It works just fine through my incipio case and as I mentioned in my above comment I get 3+ charges from it when it's fully charged itself.

Can we take a minute and just appreciate having this ability built-in? Being able to keep my phone topped up by literally just setting it down on my desk is pretty awesome.
Mods please remove if my fanboy is leaking.

This is my first time with wireless charging, and I have to say, what a great feature. I now don't charge with the traditional cable unless I am in my car. I have a four 3 coil chargers from RAVPower and CHOE and they are nice. No issues charging at all. I have a friend who has an Incipio Ghost 120 wireless charger and my phone charges without an issue on that as well. Yea, I don't think I am going to go back anytime soon to regular wired charging unless I have to.

That's one way to keep the charging port pristine!
