Announced a few months ago (from semi-official sources) the Android 4.1/4.2 Jelly Bean availability on the ARCHOS G9 tablets is no more, as the vendor has mentioned yesterday on their Facebook that there won’t be any Jelly Bean update for the ARCHOS Gen9 devices
Ok but on XDA : Quinny899 is better : Android 4.2.2

Hello,
I'm looking for a rom and a kernel which are the best atm for the following criteria:
Smoothness
Stability
NO AOKP! (<== this criteria is only for the rom)
Very energy-saving
Flash-compatibility
No AOKP because i hate its bugs (SmoothRom isn't working fine for me, long clicking on the homescreen lets the screen rotate, i've downloaded it 4x times) and logo.
Atm I'm using this rom and franco kernel.
Sorry for my bad english.
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
The best ROM and kernel are the ones that you try out for yourself and like the most. Read the threads, test drive the ones that interest you and form your own opinion. All in all a fairly easy process.

Its time to extract /system/app folder and make a port, lets hope it works :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
System images for N5 and N7 2013 are now up. Hope we'll see a port soon.

I wonder if any of the ROM devs can get their hands on it and let us know if it can be ported to the N4.... that would be so slick if it could!

It can, and will be ported to the N4 soon, I'm sure of it...
Curious of stability/speed? Don't be, it's smooth (more smooth, extremely smooth) - and seems stable!
They already made a flashable rom of Android L for N5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-android-l-prevuew-fflashable-zip-06-t2796024
Can't wait to try it out on my N4, come one devs! Haven't been this excited for an Android release since ICS.
I'll wait and try the port too, but I'm hoping that Google will release an official version of Android L for our Nexus 4.

Nice
Bugs? Features? Please give more information.
Is this ROM still supported
YunOS is the crap OS from the Chinese company Yunos. It officially supports the N5, but has not updated since 2014.

you better look for MIUI if you like the unique style, or better look for the Mokee Rom.
Yeah, that is kind of what they are mimicing, but it is completely incompatible with many apps and xposed. It is an os designed by alibaba off of AOSP, but they deny it. My wife had a phone for about a day that was a pure yun phone. About a day 'til I bricked it . Still not sure why in China many think the iOS look is cool.
Hi,
I'm a new subscriber here. But I already followed your forum to test my first android root>lineage with an old xperia ray and it works now without any gapps (an emergency phone when one breaks for instance).
I don't have windows (I quit in 2004 to linux and now an old good unibody macbook pro for everyday and linux for "noobgeeking".
I'm used to use iphone but I'm looking for quiting since I'm bored of a centralized system. I don't usually like android because of gapps and tracking but I discovered - thanks to you- a way to be "independent". Vollaphone and it's multiboot vollaos/ubuntutouch is sexy to me: I'm going to buy one, I think so.
-_> My purpose is, these days (I posted yesterday about that), to root and to install lineage 19 in a Lenovo x606f: I asked a lot of questions because everything is not clear.
Read you soon !
and thanks to your forum!
Welcome to XDA and enjoy the forums information!
Cheers
