[Q] I m concerned about weight of xperia T

hi guys..i m using samsung galaxy s 2...i switched from sony xperia S because of its 144gm weight and un easy grip due to its sharp angular edges..galaxy s 2 is very light weight and easy to use and handle but i dont like sansung at all.i am a huge fan of sony handsets..i m a little confused to buy xperia T.i love its design but i m worried about its weight..tell me about ur experience?kindly guide me..i dnt want to purchase xperia tx coz i like compact design of xperia T..xperia V is too fat.i dnt like fat phones..sony is an electronic giant but they are nt giving their best.a sony user is confused which phone to buy.one is light weight but fat(xperia V)..one is thinner but cheap material built and too big to use with one hand(xperia TX)..and then flagship phone which is best in all sense but heavier than all the flagship (even quad core) phones..i'e samsung galaxy s 3 (133gm) htc one x (130gm) iphone 5 (113gm) .... guide me guys...i love this phone but its tooooooo heavy...and also tell me xperia T pros and cons...thanx alot in advance
i switched from i9000 (119g), and had feeling you described for around one week, then phone magically started to feel light and handy Well, when i take i9000 i can tell difference right away, but in general it is a matter of getting used to it Its better shaped than xperia s, feels better in hand.
T is very fast, very responsive. Screen is different, i mean, i had been using i9000(super amoled) for past two years, but now i think T's colors are more natural and black is decent. After some time i noticed that side buttons position is very good, when you take phone to unlock, automaticly you get middle finger on power button. Battery better than i9000 srsly, i expected less! Sound quality is great with attached headphones(im not audio freak tho), which are very very comfty (again big surprise). I enjoy browsing without need to zoom in All games i've tried so far working great. OnScreenButtons works much better than expected, i did press them accidently few times while gaming, but it doesnt happen anymore.
In general, i had a choice of this and sgs3, which im aware is better - simply the best performer out there, and i picked T without regrets
Xperia t pros.. everything. I really really like my Sony and I came from HTC one x.
Camera is epic and even original fw was slick.
Cons .. not a very busy forum here at least not yet. That is actually my only gripe with the phone.
Weight? Are you serious? It barely weighs anything but I remember the 1st round of mobiles that altered the way you walked if you had a belt clip

Dear y2grae and mesior....i v ordered SONY XPERIA T....will come in a week or so...now anxiously waiting......
what about TX???? is TX better than T....i m doing survay about this confusion which to buy..almost 80% users have purchased TX coz of its slimness and light weight....suggest me guys..i live in pakistan and both T and TX will b available in next week here
Haha post earlier you said you ordered sxt ;D
I've had a galaxy s3, htc one x and now the Xperia T.
I can defo say the Sony has the best 'build quality' and the weight feels spot on.
The difference between handsets is SO minimal people, we're talking grams here not kilograms!
The Xperia T fits really nice in the hand and it's not too big either
If you find the Xperia T to heavy then I would suggest taking up actual physical exercise for a new hobby cause you might be to weak to live sorry .

[Q] Xperia T vs TX vs V

Hi ,
A few weeks back i had posted about choosing an Xperia S vs Xperia ION and thanks to the community i was able to choose the ION but now the xperia T and TX are available in the Indian ebay site. I was 100% sure of getting the xperia T but then i saw the issues of the paint peeling off which really made me unsure of what to do. I could just get the TX to avoid this and i'm not sure when the xperia V will be available. Upcoming xperia Z is beyond my budget ( I've got sour grapes syndrome for nexus 4 )
Like i mentioned because i will be getting the xperia T off ebay ( i do get the bill and 6 months warranty) i'm not sure Sony will respond to my qualms of the paint peeling. On the other hand the seller has mentioned for the TX that warranty will not cover any sony update issue. So should i go for the xperia TX instead or just get my hands on an xperia V?
The main things i'm looking for are :
- Better screen ( i'm guessing all the 3 have the same)
- Better Battery
- Better community / dev support for roms and issues.
Regards,
Rishi

Can't say which one you should get but Tx is more beautiful than the T as for me. Here in Canada, the T is lte and Tx is hspa+. Don't know in your country.

Here both are HSPA+
I cannot vote as I have only seen the T.
If you have read any of my posts, you will know that I am not impressed by the compression applied to the photos. Worse than previous non Android SEs and worse than HTC, Samsung and Apple (probably worse than LG too!)
Xperia V
I use the V and it's the best Android phone I've ever tried. Slick, responsive, no crashes, can mulitask without crashes, and has the LTE (4G) speed as well. But then Sony released the Z with a better screen solution I guess.

agree what you said, just change the external SD card,
I want to buy this phone (T). I think of "ONLY" 1GB of ram.
There's already 3GB producing in factories. So...bit worried.
Can somebody (T,TX,V) tell me about ram usage. Do you really need more or you feel this is enough on your phone?

Yesterday i went electronic shop, and tried the xperia v, i was a bit shocked by the feeling. for me it feels unsexy, compared to my T. Dont get me wrong, its a good phone, but the Xperia T has an oustanding look and feel for me. I like my handy to be a bit more heavy and tough. also i like its some sort of "wide".i also prefer xperia T screensize/ relation screensize-smartphonesize
So for me its T, compared to V.
And by the way, the power is enough for todays technic. You dont need higher and higher and higher, more more more....for what?
I can get a T here in germany for 270euro, new, first hand. So i think its a really sexy price for such phone. Sure, many phones better in Benchmarks and Hardware. But lets be serious, who cares much Benchmarks, or who needs so much power?
Everybody who not like to spend 500euro for a phone, should look for it, or Nexus 4
by the way...Everybody who wants buy a new phone should go inside a shop and play with the handy in the hands, feel it. dont just look in forums or youtube hands-ons

I agree, we need an exclusive Xperia TX subforum. MODS/ADMINS, I hope you are reading this!
Guys, if there's any, then you have already seen it here by now. Let's face it, most devs got T not the TX. Maybe in time, we will have more ROMs but not at the moment.
Anyways, we can still enjoy it by rooting this lovely phone.

Well, there should still be a subsection. That will promote more rom development.

No it won't. The only thing that will promote more development is more developers owning the device. Putting the device in a separate subsection will hurt development since it's extremely similar to the T.

Yes, it will. Developers don't need to own a device to port for it. If there was a subsection, I'm sure even FXP would have had a port out by now. Like they have one for the Xperia V.

Concur.
Or at least put TX on the list of devices, as done with TL which is just an operator's version of TL with no difference in design and specs.
TX, at least, have other id code (lt29 vs lt30 for T), other backcover design, and as was figured out, other firmware stuff packed.
I'll give my vote for a separate TX subsection. I'm owning the TX device, and I want to see stuff for my device.
TX is produced for East European, CIS, and Asian markets, which are IMHO larger in size than USA with their T(L)

What am I missing here?.. I was sure FXP supported TX and went to https://sites.google.com/site/projectfreexperia/known-bugs/supported-device just now, it says
2012 Devices
Qualcomm MSM8960 (S4) - Blue
LT25i - V - tsubasa - CM10 work in progress
LT29i - TX - hyabusa - CM10 work in progress

So LT29i (TX, "hayabusa") is not the Xperia TX?
^^
As far as I know, FXP doesn't own XPeria TX. There are similarities to T but it is different. I have previously asked the Moderators and they were suppose to let the person in charge know but I guess their assumption was that Xperia T and TX are the same but I think instead of TL, they should add TX as TL is exact same as T with LTE and locked bootloader.
I think I read somewhere that developers that don't own a device can not publish their work unless being tested?
Any how, even tho I have moved to Xperia T I still think TX is different and little more recognition could help users here.
As a fan of custom ROMs particularly Cyanogen, I would say I just bought the wrong phone, LoL. I can only fault myself, hehehe. Should have waited for Z , that one sure got many people ticked their interest.

First of all, take it down a notch or two. No need to get so violent.
Second of all, unless I am sorely mistaken, most development on this forum is for the T and not the TL. So, your US argument is not only invalid but also uncalled for. The latter simply happens to work with most of the stuff for the T since the devs mod it just enough so it does work.
We might or might not add the section. As of yet, we do not see a real need for it. Lastly, as entropy said... A forum will not attract developers, a device will. As for the comment about the device not being needed. You are correct, for stock ROMs passed through a kitchen, there is very little risk involved and one could get away with no testing. However, real development like aosp requires the device since you need to new able to look at broken stuff when it happens. And let's not even touch the subject of recoveries, boot loaders, etc.
Now, tone it down a few pegs. If we add it, we'll add it and you will see it. For now, there are no plans for it.
Oh, and fuzalert? Consider this a friendly warning.

Uhmm.... they are the same exact phone with the following exceptions:
TX: 4.6" screen
T: 4.3" screen
TX: 15258 MiB ROM storage
T: 30518 MiB ROM storage
TX: has built in FM radio
TX: 1750 mAh battery
T: 1850 mAh battery
TX: Bluetooth 3.0
T: Bluetooth 4.0
TX: GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA
T: GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+
TX: 68.6 x 131 x 11.6 millimetres; 127 gramms
T: 67.3 x 129.4 x 10.45 millimetres; 139 gramms
Every other aspect of the device is exactly the same (processor, RAM, screen type, resolution, camera, etc). To say that one of them is better than the other would be silly. In fact, considering the larger capacity battery and HSPA+ connectivity... I would say that the T is a better device... but that is just my opinion (which I am keeping for myself). Devs go to the top devices normally because they know other devs will do the same. Availability plays a big role here as well. Getting devices from Asia is not a simple (or cheap) feat by any means. I hope this answers the question regarding the "TX is better than T" that was raised earlier in the thread.
Are there development threads for the TX that I may have missed anywhere in this site? Unless the answer is yes, I am not sure if this device will be given its own subforum.

I am sure you mis-typed and Xperia T has 4.55" display and not 4.3"
TX design is different and to my eyes looks better.
and side note: I think TX was marketed in Easter Asian Countries and usually its much more expensive for Dev. to buy phone online instead of being available in their market.

Excuse my curiousness, but how many of those signing that petition/requesting the subforum are developers interested in the device?
Am just wondering.

[Q] should I buy this phone and things a customer should know

So guys I am actually a Sony fan
and I really love xperia z1.
but after reading this forum I feel like z1 isn't a good device
there was a time i thought that z1 is carp but the 6 way camera shootout at gsmarena put my faith back in z1.
so I am now considering buying this device.
but some things I wanted to know...
1) is z1 screen really defective with that yellow hue. what are the chances to get a defective piece in India
2) is camera that bad. at gsmarena it looked fine.
3) free ram?.LG g2 has 350 mb free ram always. does z1 do any better.
4) have u ever dropped ur phone. what was the result.
5) antutu and quadrant results.
5) what are the chances to get a good (no camera or screen issue ) built of z1 here in India and what precaution should I take.
Bro dt worry...its an amazing fone... no complaints so far... amazing batt life..amazing cam...n super premium finish jst go for it...few customers hv hd bad experience like i had with ultra...bt i used note 3 (octa) bt trashed it with z1 m very very happy....go for it....u will nt regret
M frm india too and got build of october only...n so far its been amazing...n also we get a bunch full of spoiling goodies... go grab ur pre diwali gift....

[Q] Sony Xperia V digitizer not working

hey Guys
i know this is the forum for xpera Z, but Theres no forum for Xperia V.
still i hope someone may know what to do.
I recently replaced lcd and digitizer on my xperia V, because i dropped it and the digitizer stopped working.
but after the new one is installed, de digitizer still doesnt Work..
Do you have any idea why that might be? i have dissassembled it over and over and ive cleaned the Flex cables and contacts multiple times.
Hope to get an answer, please help!
Yes, there is. If you search for Xperia V you'll get here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-t-v (shared sub-forum for the T and the V).
Also, you are in the general section, and as you point yourself, it's a Question.
Good luck
