You will need to keep this plugged in, as there is apps crashing and no power management feature yet, so battery burns quickly. The only thing you can do with it is interact with it via adb shell.

To go back, just flash the CM10.1 pack

And I've narrowed it down to one error
Code:
/linker ( 532): ics/linker.c:1598| WARNING: Skipping libc.so

Now booting. Need to correct resolution.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

How to edit resolution instructions added, let me know if you find a magical number.

Resolution settings should now be listed and they look great.

This sounds pretty awesome. Great work giveen! I'm going to give this a go this weekend when I have some more time. Out of curiosity what kernel are you using? When a few of us ported desktop ubuntu to the nook color we were able to use a pre existing kernel(nookie froyo kernel I believe, though I'd have to dig through a few hard drives to be sure) which saved us some headaches in the beginning)
Keep it up, loving your work
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Kernel is stated above, its my custom CM10.1 kernel developed by DJ_Steve and I

There has been no update on this because I am waiting for a new SD card to arrive so I can flash stuff.

Hey giveen...any updates on this?

Ever do something you shouldn't have whilst hacking away at your phone, and end up stuck in a bootloop? Of course you have, because we all have. That will soon be a thing of the past, thanks to the Team Hydro Bootmanager. Usually getting to your Android device's bootloader menu or recovery menu involves mashing and holding buttons, pulling batteries, or in the case of some phone (looking at you LG Optimus Black) a bit of luck because there are no button combinations that work. This jewel resides in the boot image on your phone, pauses the boot-up, and lets you choose how you want to proceed. According to lead developer Drew Walton, it works great, it's stable, will run on just about any phone, and will be ready for public consumption very soon.
*Spoiler alert* Drew is also pretty sure he will be able to expand this, using custom recovery builds (like ClockWorkMod recovery) and create a bootmanager with more options. This would of course be more device specific and less portable, but offer a new way to manage your device. You normal, well adjusted users out there may not be as excited as we hacker types are, but all you crack flashers know just how cool this one will be. I can't wait!

Awesome feature indeed...
This developer wants to call in our black Custom Recovery by a combination of keys?
This is very good, if it would be.
There's no need to press any keys at boot...
You have only to reboot and select recovery, like grub or lilo...
The question would be, is there a timer to boot into the default choice?
Regards.
Yeap much like LILO or GRUB in linux, built in boot.img and it seems the bootmanager menu always loaded before other thing, so you can easily recover or select other system setup, and about timer it costumizeable i think. Cmiiw.
try contact the developer, the one in the photo is optimus s. I'm hoping this feature integrated to our roms or mods, and bricking, bootloop, stuck nightmare will be gone forever

The best solution is to put it into bootloader of the phone which can't be erased (by full wipe) and should always works just like SW Upgrade option.
I think it's more hardware-specific, not software so I think we couldn't add that to our P970's. CMIIW.
For me it looks basically the same as Huexxx's eRecovery for Nova/CM7 but don't need keypress and can be erased with wipe, so it's bad...

Yes boot.img i've mentioned cannot be flashed via recovery. You need a higher root level to do it. I don't know how but this hack surely injected to bootmanager and it loads everytime your device power on. Team Hydro haven't released the detail how this hack works. Hopefully soon

[Splash Screen] Incredible S AOSP 4.1/4.2 - S-OFF

Hi all,
I made myself a new start-up splashscreen to celebrate the evermore stable Android 4.1 AOSP ROMs which are coming through at the moment, and I thought I’d share it with you.
Then I made a slight adjustment in anticipation of the imminent 4.2 release.
And then, as I had the graphics to hand, I made them into a wallpaper in case anyone would like it.
For those who believe that the HTC Incredible S now has a new lease of life with Jelly Bean, these are for you...
The Splash Screens look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
INSTRUCTIONS – S-OFF ONLY (sorry S-ON users!)
You must unzip the attached folders – they are not flashable in recovery! - the Splash Screen and wallpapers are in here too.
Get just the 'splash1.img' file from within the attached .zip and place it in your adb/fastboot tools folder on your PC (google it if you don’t know what this means.).
Then go to CMD prompt on your PC and set CD to the tools folder.
Connect your phone to your PC via USB.
Set your phone in ‘USB bootloader’ mode, then type in at CMD prompt on your PC:
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
Wait for the confirmation in CMD (takes less than a second normally).
And that’s it, job done! :fingers-crossed: Reboot to see it appear before the bootanimation.
EDIT: Added realigned wallpapers so the text isn't behind the buttons - see attached 'edited' zip for all originals repositioned!
If you want to revert back to the original white HTC Splash Screen at any point, please find it also attached. Follow the exact same instructions as above to install it.
Any tweaks or requests for variations of the above images ‘may be considered’ if, a) I understand what you want, b) I am physically capable of doing it (I’m no expert!), and c) if I get time!
Please use my files as required.
In case you wondered, I'll probably not do a new bootanimation as the standard CyanogenMod animation is and doesn’t need changing!

Make your BMP image, at the right size for you phone
Then select Splash in Android Flasher
Select image

[MOD]Transparent App Drawer for KK 4.4

I don't like having a solid color for a background when I open my app drawer, and don't really care for any of the third party launchers, so I modified the stock launcher to be transparent. This was created using the stock kitkat launcher so make sure you're on kitkat before attempting to flash. You must be rooted or have CWM installed.

CWM Flashable
Reboot to CWM and flash away.
APK that can be flashed with a root file explorer
With a root file explorer copy Launcher2.apk to /system/priv-app, if it ask's about overwriting proceed with that. After it's been copied set the permission's to rw-, r--, r--. Reboot shield.
Just to be on the safe side before flashing/copying I would make a copy of the stock launcher that way if you want to revert you can. I would either copy the stock launcher to the download folder or copy it to the same folder and then add the file extension .bak, I will eventually be creating a version that includes the stock launcher as well. I hope you enjoy and thanks for downloading!
With the new transparent power menu design, it's a better fit than the original. Nice one

I managed to get it, but it takes like 5 minutes to load the "desktop?" and app drawer... I get stuck on a black screen for 2 minutes, then my wallpaper comes out for 3 minutes and then everything loads, only thing I can use is double tap the home button and drag down the top and mess with settings. Now I must make sure I don't restart my device...

Yes. At first I just kept getting boot loops, then I managed to boot into it and everything started working again, but as I said, long load times the first 5 minutes. I'll probably flash back stock and try all over again.

[TUT] Flashing CWM Recovery in Linux

Before I go on, I'd like to say THANKS to @MaDaLiNoSt and @Ezzam_Itachi for and all others for helping me in my "tragic" incident about me not going to Recovery Mode and stuck in Linux.
So here we go.
Before we start, You'll need
1. Heimdall for Linux
2. CWMR from thewhisp
3. A S6500/D/L/T Phone
4. USB Cable
~PREPARE YOUR PC~
Firstly, prepare your Linux PC by installing Heimdall (which is easy to install by Googling).
Secondly, download thewhisp's CWMR, preferably the cwm-6.0.3.2-jena-build-2.tar because the 6.0.3.3 don't work when I tried flashing that.
Thirdly, you are gonna extract the CWMR file and put it on your Desktop for easy reference.
~PREPARE YOUR PHONE~
Firstly, go to Download/Odin Mode (Press buttons, Home + Vol Up + Vol Down)
Secondly, when you are in Download/Odin Mode already, press Vol Up and plug in your device to your computer.
~Flashy Time~
Firstly, on your computer, copy the path of the recovery.img that you saved in your Dekstop. (SHOWN IN PICTURE)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Secondly, start up your terminal and then type in sudo heimdall flash --RECOVERY
"paste file path" (SHOWN IN PICTURE)
Once you right click and paste, it will do its thing. Leave like that and when its ALMOST DONE, hold down your home button and both vol buttons in order to go to recovery and to prevent from being like me previously when i cant go to recovery )

goood luck
First thing needed: Google USB drivers, if you install them, they'll install automaticly after device plug in.
Second: unlocked bootloader, i don't remember what command is for that (i've done it a lot time ago) but on google site it is. Of course, you need to do it by fastboot.
Third: recovery, TWRP from their site and flash by fastboot.
Fourth: rom flash by recovery, it'll be easy.
Little instructions for you
finally I am all good with Nougat on my Nexus 5
Hey all, I am kid from 80s who have seen computers and internet Growing Up Right in Front of Me. I was feeling the same exictement that I had while installing windows 98
I spend almost 5 hours in one single day and I was a kind of shock after having a Nougat on my Nexus.
One thing here is for sure that restart may resolve problem in windows on 1st try but on the phone have to be patience and still rebooting the device may solve many problems...
Thanks a lot to seniors and other developers for their job....
It can't be more short
