Has anybody figured out how to root without unlocking bootloader ?
I just want root for few apps , I don't care about mods , custom firmware or nothing like that .

Hey everybody,
I am on official JB and want to root. Will there be a method at some point to root it without unlocking the bootloader? What do the experts think - I know you cant look into the future, but what are your experiences from other phones, is it very likely that there will be sth. or not?
The other method would be to unlock the bootloader. So do you expect that the bootloader logo can be exchanged again at some point?

i dont want to lose my data but i need to root

Unfortunately, you can't flash modified firmwares without unlocking your phone bootloader.. If I'm not wrong there's no way to root Marshmallow without unlocking the bootloader.. Its only possible to root without unlocking bootloader for lollipop and lower..
