OK. My wife has a 2gb ext SD card.. She filled it up.. So I backed it up on PC, moved all to a 4gb SD.. All the contents from internal and ext (photos mostly of our little boy) to the 4gb which took up 3.86gb (windows properties) which didn't leave much Storage.. Well I place it in the micro SD slot, it mounts and still says 1.86gb storage: 0 available.. My question is did it act like it was mounting and never Mount? Did it just not read the 4gb sd ? (Hard to believe!), or what is the SD capacity of the phone itself? ( I doubt the biggest SD card capacity is a 2gb, that's redicilous)... Sorry for the remedial question, I own a Hercules SGH-T989 SGSII I use and constantly flash ROMs on weekly (not daily, not a flashaholic).. What am I missing??? I know its gotta be a easy issue I'm missing!

Sounds like its not mounting the sd card and is just giving you the internal memory. Look further down and if needed click mount sd card/ external storage or whatever the thing says. I've had to manually Mount it before too

I use a 32GB class 10 micor SD. I tried to transfer the isntalled apps from phone to the external SD using "App 2 SD". I note that the apps were actually moved to the internal SD card but not the external SD. The photos and the video can be saved to the exteranl SD though.
I am new user of Android phones. Did I do anything wrong or app just can't be saved in external SD?
the internal sd is your external sd for app2sd.
earlier phones didnt have an internal sd. so there it was written on the external.
maybe you could reroute the paths. but for an normal user this could be hard.
So I think all phone with intwrnal SD Card has the same poblem.
Can the problem be solved when upgraded to 2.3?

Jup, all phones with an internal sd have this probs afaik.
but you can change the paths, so the external card becomes the internal.
i dont know how the paths are routed in gingerbread, but it should be tha same.
if you want to change this search in the dev section, there is a description.
Hey guys
Just installed a 64gb SanDisk card works fine installed all my psx roms to the card partitioned 30gb the other is partitioned for linktosd I have also linked all my installed apps from internal storage ok using linktosd app but have noticed that it does not move all data to the ext sd card just data is this correct as I really want to use the ext card as my main storage not the internal 10gb which I have only 3gb left its abit annoying as I have 25gb it use on the ext sd card
Does anyone knows if this is the norm as its a pain moving data around instead of using the bigger to and from storage
Thanks

Hi.
Can anybody suggest the best way of managing data too or from ext sd card for apps for using a 64 gb card ad I would like the Xperia t to use this card as a primary memory instead of moving data around from internal sd to the ext sd card added its a pain to do this all the time as my system resources are getting sluggish this method due the amount of data stored internally on the phone as I have only 2gb left play with with around 24gb on the ext sd card
Thanks

link2sd
app2sd
data2sd
Check all those apps out on the market
I accidentally partitioned my external sd card, how can I undo it, in the moment is my 8gb card only 4GB large
On win. Do cmd, diskpart, select disk your letter and clean.

so we all know we have 11gb about or so free for internal storage on JB .. and your external storage is however big your sdcard is (mine is 64gb) well with all these new games that are coming out with .obb files that are HUGE 600+ MB or more .. is there anyway to make the external storage actually internal storage so that when you click move to SD it really moves to your SD card and not internal storage.. i know there are some apps in the appstore that might do this.. but the real question is do they work for Jellybean. because the mounts are different now.

This one worked for me on JB leak. I was able to move the data of NFSMW & Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour to ext sd & play :good:
I m using directory bind. Move your data to ext sd and bind in internal sd.

Hey XDA members, just now i install NFS Most Wanted for my SGSA which take up to 2GB. it was pretty smooth for SGSA. but then i realize that after moving the game using App2Sd, it move from Internal memory into USB Storage instead of SD Card. now my internal remain untouch at 1.21GB, but it take 2GB from the USB Storage which leave only 220mb left instead of my 16GB SD card with 8GB free space. i also detect that any app that been moved from internal memory get into USB Storage instead of my SD card. is there any way to move Apps/Games to the SD Card(not USB Storage, the 8GB/16GB that come with the phone)? maybe theres an app or manual method to move them to SD Cards.
my SGSA:
-JellyMod4.0
-CoCore E5.6.2
-CrossBreeder 3.15.13
current storage status:
internal = 1.97GB, free 1.21GB
USB Storage =3.92GB, free 220mb
SD Card = 14.62GB, free 7.32GB
you can swap usb with sdcard (then mobile memory = sdcard) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36530952&postcount=1011 or try use apps like mountstorage (some app dont work)
